Normally I love Sonic. Their ice cream and slushes are fantastic and I love the corn dogs. However, tonight they missed the mark. My daughter and husband both got Blasts. Their ice cream had a slightly grainy texture as though it had been incorrectly frozen and formed tiny ice crystals in the ice cream. I decided to try the new custard called concrete. I had the Frozen Banana Concrete with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. If you are looking for a Culvers style custard, this isnt it. At first, it was pretty good with lots of crushed Reeses Peanut Butter Cups on top; as I dug deeper into the custard I discovered chunks of real banana which was a nice surprise. However, as I continued to dig deeper on one side of the cup (I usually eat these in several sittings, digging to the bottom of one side of the cup and putting the rest away for another day or two). The custard has a very thick pasty texture which doesnt feel like it is melting in your mouth. It tastes more like mashed banana than custard style ice cream. Although it looks like a pasty ice cream. I hope the vanilla and chocolate are not like this, maybe its just the banana although Im not sure I want to pay to find out. It took several minutes to take the pics and as you can see, it isnt really melting off the spoon like regular ice cream. I called and spoke to tonights manager who was very nice and explained that the "custards" are a mixture of their ice cream, flavoring- in this case real bananas, and "custard powder". Its not real ice cream custard at all. Mine seemed to have too much custard powder, at least for my taste. The manager offered to replace it with something else even if I want to come in tomorrow. Thats why I gave them 4 stars instead of 3. He also explained that with the fluctuations in our weather, the temperature on the ice cream machine has to be adjusted. The grainy texture in the ice cream means the machine isnt set at the proper temperature. He promised to check on it.

Let me preface this by saying I gave this place 3 chances. CHANCE 1)Just moved to the area and thought it would be nice to have a quick easy meal. Showed up I was 2nd in line. Got my meal ordered, it was repeated back to me, all is good right? Pull up to the window where I waited 10 mins. Thought surely its just a large order(they were eventually given one bag). 20 mins still nothing. 30 mins I thought waited this long cant be much longer. 45 mins of being 2nd in line I finally had my meal and it was cold. CHANCE 2) I figured the first time was a fluke. Im a fat kid and I want candy in my ice cream, hit me with a blast. ONLY PERSON IN LINE it took 25 mins. But at least the ice cream was still frozen? CHANCE 3) First two times it was early evening, upon seeing the taco bell line full, I thought Id give this sonic a lunch time chance. Big mistake. 3rd in line waited 25 minutes in line to get my food. The food was completely wrong, wrong sized, and cold. After seeing the wrong sized beverage, I asked the drive through attendant about the size. I explained that I did in fact order a large size, I was told there is nothing that they could do. She then handed me the food. I took it because I was in a hurry. Icing on the cake? .....cold tots. Terribly dissatisfied with this Sonic location. Ive dined at Sonics all across the country and the Sonic in Camby is absolutely the worst. This may seem long and verbose, but Im feinding for a blast and dont want to waste my time in line.

DO NOT GO HERE AT NIGHT! PERIOD. My wife and I really love Sonic as a restaurant chain, but this one needs a manager horribly. We went several times, so as not to judge too quickly, but continually found that even ordering one item at night was at least a 30 minute wait. Didnt matter if they were busy or not, by the time my rootbeer float was delivered out to me the ice cream had already melted (and many other such examples). There were plenty of workers there, so you cant say they were understaffed, some were outside smoking, others were just laughing it up inside.... I worked fast food when I was young, and there is zero excuse for a 40 minute wait on anything at a fast food place. (actually, wed have been fired for even one such occurrence, much less letting it become a common issue) Simply put: Sonic Restaurant Chain Management? Get a Night Manager for this place, IMMEDIATELY. Sincerely, someone who used to like Sonic

This is the slowest Sonic on the face of the earth. My children love the drinks so I take them a couple times a month to enjoy a treat. If it wasnt for my children I would never go to this place again. It doesnt matter what time I go, it always takes at least 20 minutes to get 2 small slushes. I tried to talk to a manager but they dont care. They need some someone from headquarters to come down and help. The last time I was there, the one taking the orders was also making the food and delivering while at least five other people watched. I dont complain but when there is a problem, it should be addressed.

So bad I was impressed. Came here at 8:30pm. Ordered a couple shakes, and 3 combos. 45 minutes(yes, really) later, they bring out our order. No shakes, cold fries and tots, missing drinks, and my hotdog tasted like it had been on a roller grill for hours. It was tough like a SlimJim. Attendant offered a refund for my combo, and said theyd remake the fries and tots. Another lady came out and offered me a remade hotdog and a coupon for a free combo. I said Id rather just have the refund. Ten minutes later another guy came out and said they had refunded our money to our card.

The Sonic on IN-67 in Camby just tossed my $9.00 order in the trash. When you fail to listen by me repeating my simple order FOUR times was my first clue. Waiting in a SUV to get their chicken order for nearly ten minutes was clue # 2. Upon arriving at the window, my order was sitting on the ledge while she took two orders. Enough. I drove off. Update: At 3:00 pm I called and spoke to the manager, or I tried. Their cheap phone picked up so much background noise I couldnt carry on a conversation Strike THREE, youre OUT!

Well first took 15 minutes to just get my drink 2nd I ordered boneless Buffalo wings took 1 bite and the chicken was raw I contacted the manager he said he will make them fresh himself and guess what that order was raw to I will never be back I believe they need to service there fryers my advice to everyone dont go there they are over priced and slow and there chicken is unsafe....... VERY DISAPPOINTED......Do Not Go To The Sonic In Camby Indiana

Ive been to this location a few times and I get annoyed every time. No more chances. Every time I come here, its takes 20 min. to get my order. When a carhop finally comes out with my order, she never has any condiments. So it takes 10 MORE minutes to get condiments!! Its ridiculous! The place is never busy ( I can see why) and there is no sense of urgency from the employees. Save time and money and go somewhere else.
