Very disappointed vegan. I have been coming to Ethereal several times a month for years thinking they clearly understood what vegan means and how important it is to someone who is vegan that the ingredients in their food are animal free. Now I am wondering what the hell I have been eating all this time. Today I pointed out to the gal ringing me up that they had mislabeled one of their pastries as "vegan" when it had honey in it. I wasnt rude about it but they sure were. The one at the counter said something like not all vegans. Its like 50/50. I said no, its not like 50/50. Honey is not vegan. I asked her if she was vegan. No answer but somewhat of an eye roll. Then this other chick behind the counter pipes in with the same silliness. Do these folks have any clue what vegan means? NO ANIMAL PRODUCTS AT ALL. I guess they use the hipster version of being vegan which includes eggs, milk, and cheese. Wait! Thats a vegetarian. Label your food correctly Ethereal and because of your crappy attitude, your snootiness, and your lack of knowledge when you claim to be so vegan friendly I will never, ever visit your store and buy your outrageously priced food & drink again.

Me and my better half who is Gluten intolerant took a drive up here since she has been here before and loves it because she can have most of all the treats they have without getting sick. This being my first time I was impressed and when I had the peanut butter cookie that she had it was soooo delicious! Not to mention trying the Smores hot chocolate a day after National Smores day lets just say I went to heaven and back while having a campfire roasting a Smores but in a mug! Yummified! Wine, truffles, you name it. If you are traveling this way and want to come stop in at a place like this I highly recommend it and I can guarantee it and you know the Chicagorican Richlatino Fedora Hat wearer who speaks Spanglish not Spanish can give you a great recommendation to try!

An unbelievable chocolate aroma hits you in the face when you walk in the door...they were making it on the other side of the glass window. They have a lot of prepackaged chocolates for sale but you can pick out of the case too. Then as you wander toward the back youll find lots of seating to take a break then if you keep going around the corner youll find a gem! There is a full cocktail bar with coffee drinks and sandwiches that cater to gluten free! If you look at their website and scroll all the way to the bottom and click on cafe menu youll find their extensive menu that goes on for miles! Ill go further than I usually do and say that they really ought to call themselves "Ethereal Confections Chocolate, Cafe & Cocktails"! They really have so much to offer.

The vegan choclate doesnt taste anything like standard choclate (if you are not vegan its a headsup to you) and half of it was spicy for some reason? I bought the basil, rasberry wasabi, honey and peanut butter, and some mango one. My cousin ate the other half of these chcolate sense I cold not stomach them and she agreed they were the worst chcolates she ever ate. My biggest issue is not with the taste though, its more that the choclates were so expensive, and that there were no samples allowed so you couldnt tell if the chcolate was to your tastes or not, and I wasted a lot of money to find out that these chcolates were not to my liking. If you are vegan you can do better than this place.

My favorite cafe ever! What a gem in a relatively small town. It has a cozy yet urban feel. The artisan chocolate is some of the best I have ever had (and I am somewhat of a connoisseur). Their lattes are made with homemade syrups (I love the lavender vanilla latte) using cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup like other places. My favorite dessert would be their chocolate pudding cup made with coconut milk. Its so rich and creamy. If you are a health nut but like to indulge from time to time, THIS is definitely your place to do so. I highly recommend them!!

Went here with my Fiance to a chocolate creation class. I wasnt sure what to expect (she wanted me to go with because she had never done one before), and while I WAS the only guy in the class.... I thoroughly enjoyed it! I learned a lot about different types of chocolate from around the world, we got to make a variety of items (truffles, chocolate bars, shaped chocolate figures), and we got to take it home! The chocolate is delicious here too by the way.... The owners are super nice and just create an overall good vibe throughout. Check this place out!

First time there today and after reading all the good reviews i was super excited to try it. The place looked very nice and cozy, loved the fireplace setting and the comfy chairs. I was also vert impressed to hear how healthy all their products are, dairy and gluten free and so on. Well imagine my shock when i purchased an assortment of truffles and they ALl were very bad. I mean i never had chocolate that tasted this gross, ever. I would say maybe i got a bad batch but i got an assortment of different flavors so i doubt it. Dont waste your time and money!!

Had to change my review from 5 stars to 1. Its a bummer because I used to really like this place, even though everything is super over priced (and they should be embarrassed to sell and display some of their baked goods) but lately their customer service has been terrible, and they always seem to have an attitude! My mother wrote a negative review on google referring to an experience she had, and is now being harassed by an employee via Facebook. Thats crazy, and makes me not want to support this small business anymore.

What was once a small friendly cafe has turned into a small pretentious "were better than you" cafe. My friend ordered a $6.50 cheese panini, youd expect a decent sized panini, maybe a pickle on the side, nope she got a palm sized grilled cheese with most of the cheese on one side. When she ordered it she asked for tomatoes on it, they said no alterations to the menu. This place sucks, overpriced coffee, beer, food, chocolate, youre better off going to dunkin donuts.

Delicious chocolates, made right there ~ you can see the operation. Cozy areas to sit in the back with open wifi so you can catch up with a friend or work on your lap top. Overall very, very good. Chocolate is very expensive ~ $8 for one average size (Hershey bar size) bar. Very clean as far as made there and quality ingredients but I dont believe organic. For those prices, I would like to see USDA organic label. I still buy it and enjoy when Im in town.

Cozy spot with excellent teas, coffees, breakfast, and chocolate! If you have a gluten free diet, its a must visit, but I felt like gluten was evil to them (they only serve gluten free options for breakfast). The short conversation I had with staff there on gluten was a bit odd as the rest of the world enjoys gluten and most are quite healthy.
