Its hard to believe there are poor reviews of Bistro Wasabi, as we had such a great experience there! The sushi and maki was amazing, and you get a lot of food per entree, more than most sushi restaurants. No need to head into Chicago, this sushi is some of the best Ive ever had. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is the service could have been a little more prompt, and we were shown to our seats about 5 minutes too early. We awkwardly stood around while the adjacent table cleared out -- they had a car seat that was actually at our table and they had to leave before we could sit down. Not really their fault, as the restaurant shouldnt have sat us until they had left.

Absolute worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Had an 8:15pm reservation waited until 8:56pm before leaving because we were starving and they had seated THREE other reservations made much later than ours already. When we asked the management what was going on they explained they split the 4 person table that should have been used for our party to give to two 8:30 and 8:45 reservations when they were quite aware how long we were waiting for. Horrific customer service, would not recommend to anyone, and no the small bowl of edamame handed to us to eat sitting on the bench waiting did not cut it. Sorry.

First of all this is a Japanese restaurant not chinese,it probably has as high a quality sushi as you would find at famous places like Nobu,which I have been to many times at different locations. Bistro has some very excellent sauces on their cooked dishes, the asparagus beef roll is fantastic and the maki are imaginative. Martini list is great and bartender can guide you to what wine or saki you should have with your meal. Atmosphere is nice they have a small sushi bar and large main bar,I always prefer to sit at the bar at almost any restaurant I go to unless there is a large party.

This is the best sushi bar around and I dont even eat sushi. I love everything they have that isnt sushi. The tempura is to die for. Their steak is delicious. Their cosmopolitans are the best. Ice cold and generous. Mia and Suki are the best people to wait on you. It is like family there with Gino and Mr. Park and everyone. I have been going there ever since they opened and we are devotees. Even my 93 y.o mother loves it. They treat her like a queen. You wont go wrong.

It was very nice and the food was high quality, but the portions are very small and we were trying to share between six people. Great place for a couple, not super great for large groups. I guess it was just odd to have most of the sushi rolls come out with only five pieces for six people. Gosh, first world problems right? Anyway, what Im trying to tell you is this place is great for small groups, but other restaurants do large groups better and less expensively.

This by far is our favorite place to dine!! My wife and I have been going for years and we have never ever been disapointed in the quality of the food and service! Oy, Mia and Pat are all excellent servers and make you feel like family. Chef Gino is a master at his craft and Chef Park is a master at the sushi bar!!! do your self a favor and go you will keep coming back!

Excellent Sushi and awesome cocktails. I highly recommend the Godzilla Maki sushi ( which isnt on the menu) and the Horses Neck cocktail which is Rye whiskey and home made ginger ale. Nice atmosphere for a couple dining out, and really fresh sushi.

We love to eat here frequently because the atmosphere, food, and service are excellent. The sushi is always superb and the wait staff very accommodating! Price is what I would expect for fresh seafood and the portion sizes are generous.

This is best restaurant in the area. Not only great service and wonderful sushi, but the cooked foods, particularly the steak are excellent quality and value. The have a nice wine list. Wine is half price on Sundays and Tuesdays.

I love this place. I live close by and would go more often if my husband liked sushi. It is very crowded on weekends so make reservations. Excellent food especiallly the sushi, always fresh and beautifully presented.

Really good sushi for this area. Careful prep and a good atmosphere if dining in. Try the Godzilla roll (not on the menu). If carrying out I found rolls to be smaller for same price. Otherwise would be 5 stars!
