My husband and I went house hunting last weekend. For me, house hunting triggers cravings that come in waves. First, it was pancakes. Next, it was Dairy Queens Butterscotch Dip Cone. Then, Mexican food. Just down the street from the last house we looked at was Mi Casa. When we drove by it, on the way to the last house, my husband said it looked like a renovated Taco Bell. While I should have been looking at one of the half baths in the last house, I was actually looking at Yelp and discovered the good reviews, so we gave it a try. When we walked in, it was clear that there were not enough tables. There were three tables inside what was the shell of a fast food place. The owner quickly greeted us and pulled two chairs up to the counter (where you would order at a McDonalds) and gave us menus. More people came in, so the owner and a server went outside to grab patio furniture for people to sit on. Now, this probably should have been bad sign or a turn off or something else negative, but it was oddly charming. We had a perfect view into the kitchen where everything was prepared to order. A very fast working female chef kept things afloat as more and more people came in. We ordered chorizo, marinated pork, and chicken tacos. To be blunt: every taco was fantastic. Really. Also, cheap. Well-priced, very good food is surprising to find sometimes and this restaurant surprised me. You should go, just not on a Sunday afternoon, unless you time it just right to get the "chefs table".

Ive now eaten at the location in Bloomingdale twice. I think the salsa is outstanding. And the steak burrito is flavorful however for the money I would like it to be bigger. I decided on my second trip to get extra meat and to be perfectly honest with you it didnt seem any bigger than the one without extra meat. Also on my second trip they forgot my tamale in wish I had to go back to pick up and I believe I received a veggie tamale not a pork tamale. I get it things happen I surely hope that these are just growing pains of a new location. Needless to say I hope that I can change my review in the future thanks for reading.

Service is great, staff are friendly and helpful. Food is excellent quality, pricing is good (around $11 for a large dinner-size plate meal including sides, or a couple bucks for a good quality taco, around six for a large burrito, that sort of thing). They have some authentic Mexican drinks and desserts as well. Aesthetically the place is very neat and tidy. Ive been here three times so far and I will gladly come back again, its always good to find a nice little family-run place.

WONDERFUL FOOD! They have a great variety of authentic food and great portions! The atmosphere is like you are in your home kitchen, so homie and comfortable! Their service is amazing and all of their workers(mainly family members) are so sweet and friendly. You wait just long enough for your food and I love that there is spanish music in the background and spanish t.v. shows playing. This is a wonderful environment for all people.

I really like this place. Food is really good and authentic, great portions and friendly service. Price is a little more expensive than most Mexican spots but the quality is on point. I havent found a better spot for authentic Mexican around this area. Definitely worth checking out. Expect to pay around $16.00 for 3 tacos, rice and beans and a drink. You get free chips and salsa if you stay to eat. ORALE!!

Fast and friendly service, top quality food, festive atmosphere! The owner takes your order, and you can watch your food being prepared with fresh ingredients that are sliced and diced right in front of you in the open kitchen. Chips and salsa are complementary, and they keep an ice cold selection of Jarritos to go with your meal. This is a staple in my weekly lunch rotation!

Love this place - delicious, authentic Mexican fare which is also very reasonably priced. Its a family run operation and we enjoy walking there for a great meal and chatting with the De La Torre family. I highly recommend it! (The previous negative review (M.Johnson) has me baffled. Are you certain you reviewed the Mi Casa on Main Street in Wheaton?!!)

Mi Casa is great. Their menu is full of the typical mexican fare offering up some solid variety with meats/dishes etc. Their Mi Casa Chicken is shredded and mariniated resulting in a very tasty ingredient in any dish. Accompanying each order is a side of lettuce/tomato/cilantro which is also very tasty when paired with the main course. Try the pork tacos!

Best quick Mexican in Wheaton. Incredibly nice people make sure all your needs are met. The pastor was great, marinated well and has little pieces of pineapple setting off the tastes needed for the ultimate taco experience. I also recommend the chorizo quesadilla and the chicken fajita tacos. Prices are good and I enthusiastically recommend mi casa!

Real good authenti Mexican flavor food. I tried their green enchiladas and pork ribs in green tomatillo sauce and both were delicious. Both dishes came with rice, beans and salad. Very friendly family environment. Portions are geneours and prices are fair. I normaly dont eat out, but when I do, this is my restaurant choice.

Al pastor taco dinner is unbelievable. Ive had al pastor everywhere: Cabo San Lucas, Guadalajara, Pilsen, Addison, Niles. These are the best. The family who owns the place is great. The kids are the workers. Local family from Wheaton. Super happy that this place is in our town!

I just went here for the first time. It was very homey atmosphere, it felt like I was at my abuelas house! I had a burrito al pastor. It was tasty and slightly drippy. The staff was really friendly and everyone gets chips and salsa! Ill definitely have to go back again!

The only reason I am giving two stars is because they gave me amazing chips and salsa for free while waiting for my takeout. The Nachos were sooo soggy. The Burrito was more tortilla than anything else. I wanted to love this place sooo much but its not that great.

Nice little Mexican place with friendly service and good food. Food was fresh but not as flavourful/spicy as I would like but definitely worthy of a second visit. The place is small so it can become full quickly. Open kitchen allows you to view cleanlines.

OMMexicanFood!!!!!!! Amazing food, huge portions. The kitchen was immaculate. The staffs service is better than any 5 star restaurant. This was by far the best stop on our trip. Very family friendly. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

I really enjoyed my tacos, I was a bit disappointed that they where out of tongue. They only had two people working so service as a little slow as one person was covering the register the phone and table service while the other person cooked.
