I was not going to leave this review after receiving the WORST fish I have ever received in my life last night, but after sleeping on it I decided I would. Restaurants need to be held accountable for the food they serve their customers and if they are not going to accept that responsibility they should close their doors and shut down. I was willing to overlook the gritty, filthy and rundown appearance of this place, although I am not sure they would pass an inspection from the Department of Public Health, and give them a chance. On that note, the owner should have more pride and dignity in their establishment and make some LONG OVERDUE updates. Next, the cashier had the nerve to be wearing plastic gloves that looked like she was gardening in them while taking orders, collecting cash, and packing the finished food and condiments. Why bother?? Anywho, got my order, which on a positive note was ecomonical and drove home. When driving, I was hoping that I was imagining the OLD smell of grease that was emanating from the bags but it was true. The catfish and perch dinners I ordered were super greasy with OLD grease, so much so that it was sitting in a pool of grease on top of the wax paper they use to separate the fish from the bread and fries. The breading on the catfish was hanging outside the container like the just threw the fish in haphazardly like the are serving dogs AND it had all fallen off of the fish and you could tell it too was OLD or improperly stored, but nonetheless the used it and served it to their customers. The perch looks like they had just taken a clever and chopped it with no method or intentions of forming anything close to fillets. The breading was bubbly, greasy and disgusting, it too lingered in a pool of old grease in the container. The shrimp..TOTAL FAIL! All the breading, which looked like they used pure flour, was also off the shrimp and they were naked and pale. I am not even certain the ancient grease they used was even hot or the fish was prepped properly prior to frying. This place gets an F-. Think twice before patronizing this establishment! No I did not call to inquire about receiving a refund, because frankly, I never want to step foot in that dreadful place again!! Someone with an ounce of pride and passion in being a decent restaurateur PLEASE open an establishment where one can get a decent fried fish and shrimp meal in Lake County!!! I welcome suggestions on alternatives.

Terrible service. I ordered ahead and was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes. Upon arriving, after waiting a few more minutes longer than 15 minutes, my order was not ready and had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my food. The lady at the counter loudly comes out and basically tosses the food at me and says here, oh wait I have to go get your fries and walks to the back and disappeared. I waited another 2 minutes, no sign of this lady. I seen the manager standing there, hes like, "yeah? Can I help you?" I proceeded to tell him I was waiting for the lady to come back with my fries I ordered. The manager just grabs a order of fries and says here just take these as he tosses them at me. I have to say I will not be going back here. The food was not that good either.

A decent fish sandwich prepared fresh to order. Place is run-down and the counter has the inch-thick plastic windows of a gas station in a bad neighborhood, just like the actual gas station next door. No condiments out, you have to ask for everything at the window. I was helped by the guy who cooked the sandwich, yelling from the back of the kitchen. Seating area is really only good for waiting. We ended up eating on a blanket outside. Seems like a good place to call ahead for a lunch if you work nearby, but look elsewhere for a sit-down meal.

Way to go JJ...you guys are awesome...the food is great and the service is wonderful ....they also have a mechanic shop in back Andino tire repair shop....I love them they are great....they know what they are doing and do a GREAT job at it...CONGRATULATIONS ANDINOS AND JJFISH I WILL ALWAYS, ALWAYS COME HERE FOR MY CAR REPAIRS AND GOOD FOOD!!!!

Chicken had crust on one side perch was old and real fishey fries are cold cashier have diffrent prices that change when you pick up order more than once lady cook rolled her eyes when i expressed i wanted my money back and owner got a attiude when i said i need a refund and ask the cook how long has the chicken been sitting out wow!

On several occasions I have attempted to call in my orders in advance only to get a busy signal. Upon arriving to the store 30 minutes later, the phone line is still busy and their are no customers in the store. Very poor customer service.

The best chicken I had in years, the place is really clean and above all the prices are very reasonable . Overall the quality of food is the best in the prices compared with other places is very low. Now I know where to go for chicken wings.

Order food to pick up arrived at restaurant food was not even prepared said food will be done in 7 minutes arrive back in seven minutes to pick up got food and it was cold as hell. Never again would refer anybody. Needs new management ASAP

I called in 30 min earlier to place an order and the lady said itll be ready in 10 min, but my order wasnt even placed when I got there. The point of your customers calling in before hand is so they dont have to wait at ur restaurant.

I came to jj fish tonight for dinner and the food was delicious and fresh! The cashier was polite and professional and the food didnt take long at all to cook. Definitely recommend this place as a go to for lunch/dinner.

This place has good food, . But in reality the wings are awesome, the catfish is good but Ive only had catfish from here so I cant really compare. All in all great place. Expect to wait for your food.

We drive about 40 miles to pick up food here. The food and prices are great! The staff is always very nice!
