Im thinking about possibly taking my girlfreind to Red Lobster this July 4th weekend. But, as I mentioned it to her, she reminded me of our experience a few weeks before Valentines Day this year. On that particular cold day in late January, I was excited to take my girlfriend out for a seafood lunch. Amazingly, as long as shes lived in Chicago, shes never been to Red Lobster. I told her how good the food and service was. But, that Ive never been to the one in Lincolnwood. We got there at opening, whic, I believe was 11am. All excited, we were eager to get seated and order. The host was friendly and seated us down. he waitress arrived, asking us if wed like to order something to drink. Just as we were about to place an order, the Manager came to our table. She informed us that the kitchen was closed because the boiler was not working... and that they were unable to prepare any meals. She also noted that she wasnt sure when it would be repaired. We were told that we could still order some drinks at the bar if we liked. But, having a few drinks around noon with nothing to eat didnt make a whole lot of sense. As we opted to leave, the Manager did apologize for our "inconvenience." We went across the parking lot to the Mall and ate at the food court. What a disappointment! So, heres the issue. Sure, I understand emergencies happen... and, the Manager did apologize for our "inconvenience." But, she couldve done something to make us want to return again. I woulve given disappointed customers something like a $5 or $10 voucher, only good at this specific Red Lobster to have us come back at a later date. I mean, we wouldve spent around $25 anyway!?!?! We still had a craving for seafood, so we went to Cys crabhouse near Wriggleyville instead for dinner. It was very good... and, we were treated right. So, the bottom line is that we may still go to Red Lobster (or, we may never go to any Red Lobster again!) this weekend. But, definitely not the one in Lincolnwood. There are plenty of other seafood restaurants around in town.

I went to Red Lobster for dinner in Lincolnwood, IL . The kid at the neighboring table was all over the place and quite often very near my seat (long bench type). For most of the time, I didn’t really care until her shoes were on my jacket. At that point I simply commented, “My jacket is getting dirty.” to my parents while quickly grabbing and moving my jacket. Suddenly, one of the child’s grandmothers began calling me “stupid” over and over. I had no choice but to find a manager to handle these rude people. This manager quickly apologizing to us, he then turned to the rude family and joked around while one of these disgusting individuals told him “I had to stop myself from kicking her a**.” This manager did nothing to address our needs. Later, my mom was taking photos and the woman thought we were taking a photo of her. She jumped out of her chair and went to my mom and yelled at her to delete pictures of her. The same manager came over and walked away doing nothing. A few minutes later I noticed this manager laughing it up while looking at me with other waiters. On my way out, I told this manager how unacceptable it was for him to be laughing right in front of me. Apparently the staff (manager)at this location are not properly trained to handle rude and offensive guests that should have been expelled. Unsatisfied, I located the General Manager who had no clue what was going on in this restaurant. The fact Red Lobster seated customers with no manners is one thing, but, the fact the floor manager didn’t/couldn’t stop these belligerent people from bullying me while I was trying to enjoy my meal is a real problem. After this incident, I cannot recommend ever going to the Red Lobster especially at this location.

Review Edited, 5 starts after giving it 2 stars last year! total change in service, food and atmosphere, food was cooked to perfection and was just amazing, everything was tasty and delicious, our service was polite, cautious and on time, food made it to the table in less than 15 mins and it was overall a wonderful experience! keep it up and Ill be a regular :D totally made up for last year disappointment! did you change management?! if you did then good for you :D Last year review below It totally depends on when will you go there, morning shifts, or weekdays you will be generally ok, been there on a weekend, restaurant wasnt that crowded and their was a waiting list, food took 30 mins to come in and it came in cold, after 10 mins of asking and trying to find the manager we finally got to speak with the lady who was servicing us, another 20 mins we got our new plates, taste was bland which was unusual for that specific restaurant "the visit before that food was tasty and decadent, this time we didnt even get to finish half of what we were served because it was just really bad" definitely will not revisit this branch, I dont know what is going on! did they change the chef, or management!?

The place was awful to the point where they do not deserve any stars but because I can not submit this review without it. I give you one star when you shouldnt get that! My family and I called ahead of time to get seats ready for a group of 24. They told us 2 hours but when we got there they still werent ready. They were not professional at all. After two hours they informed us that it would be another 30 minutes but someone else came back and said another hour. The managers did not care either. We were not offer water, drinks or anything while we waited. After awhile they did not come to inform us of what was going on. We were there to celebrate my younger sisters graduation and her boyfriend wanted to propose. WE left to go to Longhorns Steak House where we were seated in 30 minutes and the manager himself provided us with excite customer service. Red Lobster you missed an opportunity to be apart of our celebration and make some great money.

After being seated we waited 25 minutes for even a greeting from or waiter. That came from 3 tables over yelled at us. 10 minutes later still no waiter, water, cheese biscuits... nothing. Asked ladies for manager and suddenly.. service. As Im talking you manager the waiter behind cutting me off mid sentence raising his voice while talking to his Boss. About me and what happened. Mind you in it with my kids and my oldest sons gf who are both servers/waiters and they were shocked at this mans attitude for no reason. The only reason for the 2 stars is because the food was awesome and the replacement waiter was great. The manager took 20%off bill that I told him wad not necessary. The new waiter got a $50 cash tip on an $86 bill.

Being for the first time at Red Lobster our server Debbie and manager Latese Anderson were very friendly and helpful. At the end when we were ready to pay we felt that we should mention that the lobster we just ate it had a funny taste even though we didnt know what taste it should have. As a response the manager offered to cook a different lobster free of charge just to have an idea about how it tastes different types lobsters. Thank you guys. Claudiu, Roxana and daughter Olivia.
