Going by the reviews seen here..and the fact that it was on a "top 10 in will cty" list...we decided to try it out. I must admit..we were very disappointed. We usually try breakfast/café-type places wherever we can find them. Food was sub-par at best. Coffee was decent. The service: I felt as if we were not of any importance at all. Had to ask a different waitress to bring something for us. Checked on once..while leaving the bill at the same time. Just overall disappointed.

Nice place for a quick bite. Always busy on the weekends, especially Sunday around 11, so be ready for a wait! The staff is pretty good at getting people in and out quickly and are friendly. The last time I was in I did notice that there seemed to be only one or two waitresses and the poor girl was running around like crazy. We had to wait some time for our check, but we could see her sprinting from table to table and knew she was very busy.

The service was good, our waitress was very friendly. Its kind of a typical breakfast place, although I was very disappointed that they had no specialty coffee options, like lattes. It says "Cafe" in the name, so I thought it would have more. The prices were also pretty high, even just for sides. That said, the food was good, and again, the waitress was nice. Food came out quick.

My husband, son and I ate here on a Sunday afternoon and the food was terrible. Kraft Mac n cheese I couldve made at home. Cheese wiz on potato skins and frozen gyros not fresh. Nothing was restaurant worthy. Havent tried their breakfast so maybe thats their specialty but the menu seemed so large that they are not able to make food fresh to order.

This place was a great place to have gone to. The breakfast food was great! I recommend the happy place plate, though it can be large for some people. Ive been there more than once and it still has not let me down yet. Just great overall.

Their saganaki has a taste unique to all other restaurants Ive had it. Waitress said they use vodka to light it instead of brandy. I also like the additional side choices beyond potatoes, like potato skins or fried zucchini.

When we come to Shorewood to visit we love to come here. My dad lives there and is not disabled. He can make 3 meals out of one they are so big! Dad loves the chicken fried steak and he can chew it! So tender!

I enjoyed my meal at Happy Place as it is a happy place. Good food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff also makes for a great dining experience. I also appreciate that they give seniors a discount.
