Great place to eat: the menu is huge, and very diverse, with a lean toward Greek food (very good Gyros and Greek salads). They also serve breakfast all day. The staff is friendly and attentive. One thing I look for in a restaurant is wait staff turnover - this place has none I can detect. You can tell they like working there. The décor is dated, but clean. There is a nod towards the Greek (some nautical theme items), but overall it just gives the impression of a family restaurant (Perkins/Friendlys type layout). It is next to a train track, which isnt as loud as your would think. Depending on the time of day, the crowd can be older or younger. Its a family restaurant, but you can also tell its popular with the retired crowd. Overall, if youre hungry, like the family restaurant vibe, and are in the area, this is a great place to eat.

Have been coming here for the past three years and will continue doing so. Reasonable prices on food, always fresh and good. Lots of variety and great service. They have great breakfast and burgers. They serve a Hawaii style burger with pineapple that is awesome. They have a hangover burger and great desserts. Will miss you guys when we move away but will definitely come and visit again! Thanks for the great service and experiences in the Waukesha area. Also to follow up on the bad review under me. You said it yourself, you just wanted money. Ive had a few times when I dropped my food off the table and they made me new food! I wasnt even charged when that happened, even though it was my fault.

To whom it may concern, This is an exceptional establishment, traditional and with a homie feeling. My family and friends have been coming here for years, enjoying their breakfast and lunch specials which are very reasonable; friendly staff that serves you always with a smile and care. Food comes to you hot always, cooks are always accommodating to any alterations to your meal. Every time I ask a sibling or a parent where to go for breakfast or lunch I hear "Sunset Family Restaurant" "We always end up choosing it anyway" so we head on over and call the rest of the family. Hope this review helps you choose the next time your looking for a good local restaurant.

The food is reasonable from a price point of view . Their breakfast omelettes and hash browns are fantastic. The Hostess is very nice. Recently the customer service has been disappointing. At times I have noticed that there is internal fighting among the staff fighting over tables and responsibilities. Obviously this is clearly visible to the customers which is a let down. My grade would be much higher if management can address this big area of opportunity. I tried to be as fair and objective in my restaurant reviews.

the soup and fries were good, but thats about it. The place looks like it hasnt been cleaned since the 1980s and the waitstaff had a bit of an attitude problem. The menu is way too large and, despite its size, not descriptive enough. The hot sandwiches are served open faced but are not described that way in the menu. The water tastes like a science project. Not impressed. Id be willing to give their breakfast a chance as it looked good, but will not go out of my way to eat there ever again.

I am currently sitting inside of the restaurant with my family. 2 people including myself had the biscuits and gravy. We both took a few bites and it tasted off. We mentioned it to the waitress and she took the plates away from us. She returned shortly and said that the owner tried it and he said it was fine and asked if we would like our food back. We declined. We have no intention of coming back.

OK...this was a regular place to eat for 3 years for our office. On the same day, they had changed their turkey from carved to a pressed turkey-like product AND I had a sugar packet paper in my cup of soup. I get sick to my stomach when I think about this place. I will NEVER eat there again!

The staff was awesome. But immediately after leaving me and my fiance and daughter got sick. The steak had chop suey for a topping and the cream puff didnt taste like it. Great place for service but the food was terrible I wouldnt recommend this place at all!

Good food at a reasonable price. Your standard Greek run family restaurant. Beer, wine or dessert and a cup of soup with your dinner. Gyros are good as are the ribs. I like everything except the Italian dishes. All the waitresses are friendly.

Served a bad meal and got Excuses instead of a refund. Just wanted my money. Owner refused to do anything but refuse the blame and act like we were ripping them off for two sandwiches that took them 40 minutes to make. Wont be going back.

My boyfriend and I went there for supper. I was less than impressed to say the least. I had the steak and shrimp. He ordered a 16 oz. steak medium rare. It came to the table and it was raw. Our waitress was very cool on the other hand.

Weve been going there since my 17 year old was 7 years old. Great place, amazing menu, lots of seating, always friendly service, and they even sell liquor. The bread they provide with the meals is enormous. Go there. Go there now.
