We have been to Faros Family Restaurant on several occasions over a couple week span and it has not disappointed once. Their menu covers a wide selection of food, Breakfast is served all day as well. They have several selections on special daily and so far we have chosen from there. They serve Pepsi products for drinks instead of the usual Coke products that most serve. As for the meals they have a good portion. Most (all we have had so far) come with a Soup or Salad starter. Not being a Soup or salad person I usually choose salad or neither but always ask what the soup is. They usually have 4-5 different soups of the day selection. It seems Chicken n Dumpling is a big favorite as they have had it on the list every day we have gone. It is good, but our favorite so far is the Wisconsin Cheese soup. Very filling and delicious. Now I am a hearty eater and I was unable to eat more than half of most of the meals we have had here. Part of it is the Wisconsin Cheese Soup, but the portions are of a good size as well. We are glad we gave this place a try and now it is on our top list of places to eat in Fondy.

Why JustWhy
Ive seen some of the more negative reviews and I have to say Im baffled. I guess not everyone is going to have the same experience, there have been moments where there were some sketchy guests who knew the wait staff, but as far as service and food Ive never had an issue. My friend and I eat here at least twice a year (we do business in the area) and look forward to it. I always get the unlimited soup and salad and with the exception of the cream of spinach (too much creamy, not enough substance) I have anywhere from liked to loved the soups. The salad... is a salad. And it was tasty and the kept it coming. The waitresses have always been fun and accommodated my peculiar sense of humor and socially awkward banter. Ive always received great service and left with a smile on my face. I have yet to try the desserts as Im always filled with soup. Everything my friend has ordered so far hes loved as well. The prices are right, so giving them a chance wont break you... and Id recommend at least trying them out. If you love homemade soup, I think youll really like what you find.

I ordered the pancake platter. It was awful. I barely could eat my food. The pancakes are disgustingly sweet. It should probably be noted on the menu that there is about an entire bags worth of powdered sugar in one pancake. I shared bisquits and gravy of wich j also could not stomach. The gravy had no other taste than the rancid tasting bacon grease that was used to make it. I give this place a zillion thumbs down. Whats even more upsetting is that I was told by several people the foods really good try it. I wish I had asked where the nearest ihop was instead. If your looking for good breakfast Walkers resteraunt in beaver dam is 4 times better and their prices are better too.

To me Greek restaurants are a safe bet, food is good, large quantities, good service and reasonably priced. Faros failed on all but price. We visited on a Saturday about 12:30. Seated promptly and I ask for coffee with cream. Ten minutes before coffee arrived with no cream. Ask the server to bring some when she brought the coffee, it never came. I ended up getting a creamer from a nearby table. I ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Meat loaf was OK, two slices about 3/4" thick, but the gravy was not. Tasted like it was not homemade. The other person ordered a specialty cheeseburger from the menu. The wrong one was served. I wont be visiting this restaurant again.

A nice quiet place to eat breakfast and lunch and dinner with my family and friends. I found that the wait staff there if are very friendly people the tables and the atmosphere very nice highly recommended also for the convenience that is right off the highway so anyone passing by getting right off the highway sit in a nice comfortable air-conditioned restaurant be given courteous service and then you can be on your way knowing that you are now will there but comfortable as well a very nice place to be will be visiting there again.

Stayed at the Inn next door. Didnt eat here but no where on the building did it say the name of the restaurant! I got super curious and used Google to figure it out. Just seems strange that there are no signs. Not even on front door! (Do I have too much time on my hands? Probably). Anyways seemed popular especially for breakfast and dinner times!

This is one of the BEST restaurants in fond du lac. You always get seated immediately and foods arrives quick, no matter how complex the order or how many people are in the restaurant. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The owners are great and built an excellent establishment with very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

While the rest of my family would give this place 5 stars, I gave it 4 simply because 5 should be reserved for really outstanding places. It is casual dining with so many nice options you might have to send the server away a couple times before you make up your mind. Never fear, no matter what you choose, it will be the right one.

I was in for breakfast, and was warmly greeted immediately. After I was seated, I looked over their extensive menu. I had a skillet, and it was big enough to feed a small army. Everything was fresh and tasty. Clean floors and clean bathrooms, which is a must for me. DEFINITELY, highly recommend. :)

This place is great when its 2AM and youre drunk off your ass. The food is pretty good. Reminds me of a Dennys or Perkins quality. The atmosphere is nice and has that "local" feel to it. Recommended if youre looking for something comfortable to try.

I personally had a poor experience here I ordered a steak and ship dish for about $20.00 and the shrimp and the steak were overdone and cold. I have heard alot of good things about this place its a 24/7 restaurant. But my experience was bad.

Seated immediately. Clean-looking environment. Food seemed as if it was frozen before it was cooked. Fries were unseasoned. Coffee tasted like brown water. Desserts not on menu and over 100+ options. Food seemed careless and lazy.

I was the first person to order and somehow everyone got their food except me. Waiter forgot to place my order. Burger was yummy but it sucked that I had to eat last and my order was first.

Very nice waitress and our breakfast was good. Im not sure my coffee ever got less than half full, which to me separates the good waitresses from the best. Will definitely return.

One word to best describe.... Sketchy! I wouldnt trust the employees or what the sell during and perhaps after there shifts, not to mention what they put in there food.

Your typical Greek family restaurant. Thats not a bad thing. If youre looking for decent "comfort food" youll like this place. Staff was nice, and food was good.

Good food, better service. Nice family atmosphere for ages 2 to 92. Big portions, and the restaurant is always clean. We will definitely come here again!!!
