I unfortunately will never be able to write a review of the overpriced food here, as I left in disgust at the slow service before it even arrived. I stopped at this place on a Saturday night after seeing it while driving by. I was admittedly underdressed, and was told there was a 15 min wait for a table, so I waited at the bar. After a half hour, with several empty tables available for over ten minutes and no other customers waiting, I had to go talk to the matradee before I could be seated, right next to the kitchen. I didnt mind this so much, as I said I was underdressed, but making me wait for the less desirable table to open up afforded me the opportunity and vantage point to fully enjoy their horrid service. I was able to watch in the next 40 minutes, the time it took for my appetizer to arrive, two entire parties order, get, and finish their food. At this point, I complained to my server about the time it had taken for me to receive the simple bread appetizer I had ordered, and if this was any indication of how long I would have to wait for my meal. After disappearing into the kitchen, the server returned saying that the manager was willing to wave the price of the appetizer. Now, I dont run a restaurant, but I would think that if I did, I would make a point of apologizing for bad service to my customers in person, but sadly, I never saw the manager, or even received an apology, before walking out after wasting over an hour of my time. I can only imagine that the food must be worth the steep prices they charge, but since I dont return to places that I have walked out of, Ill never know.

This place was great! Took my family here for a holiday, and we got a seat by the garden/patio. One of the wall folds away, and while the view isnt awesome, the breeze definitely is during summer! So, on the good news front: extensive wine list, the bread is super fresh and served hot with olive oil, the ambience of the place is comfy-white-linen-table clothes. Dress casual. Very nice restaurant, the food was great. I sampled a little bit of everyones (its FAMILY!), so I can comment on... Veal francese: I felt like a bastard after the fact, but the veal was delicious. The francese frying (its sort of like french toast, but a meat cutlet) was perfect. Served with veggies which were also quite good. Saltimbocca pork: Tender, and served gluten free! A big deal for my sister, for whom gluten is like crazy toxic. The waitress kindly informed us that 90% of the menu can be served gluten free, and I couldnt taste a difference :) Mahi Mahi: Who doesnt love mahi mahi? Well, Agio does it up right with spicy red sauce over the top. Great touch, the fish was flaky and delicious, and just sthe slightest bit spicy. All in all, Id go back in a heartbeat. Its fancy, its expensive, but the cooks at Agio definitely know what they are doing.

The food was quite good, although the portions are small and they were indeed pricey. So the complaints of it being “over priced” may be seen as valid. I’ve been there three times, and every time I went, I had to wait for someone to seat me – 10 to 15 minutes or more was not uncommon. There’s was just no one at the front seating people, even though the wait staff saw several of us waiting to be seated and there were plenty of empty tables. And yes, the service was slow, although I ascribed this to the restaurant having just opened and going through a learning curve. As I understand, this is the same people who ran the old “Slice”, and service was never a problem there. So if you’re in no hurry, give this place a try. Again, the food I had was quite good. The Fettuccine Alfredo was the best I’ve had outside of Italy, and I’ve eaten at the original Alfredo’s.

We eaten here previously but the service and food has definitely gone in a downward spiral. We went on Valentines day and the appetizer and dessert were good but the entrees definitely were not. We have been here twice recently with reservations and always waiting and service was poor. Had a reservation last night at 7:45. I changed it on Open Table to 7:15. I got a message that Open Table had openings but they didnt. So I called back and was told that the earliest they could fit us in was 8:15. I asked couldnt they keep the original reservation at 7:45. I was told probably not. This all happened within about 20 minutes. Needless to say we decided to go somewhere else. I would not recommend. Tired of the excuses. Maybe management should look at staffing and not overbooking.

A very nice looking little restaurant with decent food. However, I dont feel that the food was so great that it warranted the $25-35 per meal price tag. I would give four stars but I also spent the entire meal with the waitress and bus boy hovering over our table and taking away plates and things that we werent even finished with yet. I felt like they were trying to push us out the door even though we were practically their only business. I would have enjoyed the meal a lot more if I actually felt comfortable and welcome. I would be willing to give it another shot sometime, but only for a special occasion.

Excellent clam chowder. I have tried thousands of different chowders across the country, this was the best. Perfectly balanced and the clams melted in your mouth. The grilled calamari appetizer was excellent, highly recommend ordering that. I ordered the chicken Parmesan entree. It was pounded thin and the accompanying pasta was perfectly aldente. However, the sauce was ok, but could have been much better, hence 4 starts, not 5. Followed the meal with an excellent tiramisu. Footnote:. The wine list was impressive with choice for all budgets and palates. Will go again.

Service is horrible! The waiter was more interested in his table outside than us! He flew by our table in the bar so many times, I forgotten to count and never came back to us to as to ask for an other drink order! Food finally came, for such a long wait! Dont think I would go back, and was looking so forward to trying this restaurant out and I dont think I would go back!

We went for lunch last week. The inside is lovely, the service was impeccable, the food was great. I had the escarole and bean soup which was very good. They have a lunch special for 8.00 that is soup and half a sandwich or panini. I had the half portabella steak panini. Very tasty. I will be going back this week and truly look forward to it!!

Joe & Company, Thank you so much for another grand New Years Eve experience! Everyone in the place was busting their butts to make the evening special...and it was. As you know, weve been coming there for years, and you never disappoint. Were very appreciative and lauditory of the dining experiences at Agio. All the best, Nancy & Joe Ebner

A classy décor Italian bistro for a moderate price. Service is attentive, if a tad slow. Food unfortunately wasnt really worth the price. The sandwiches fell apart and were hard to eat. The mahi mahi in particular was quite dry and the sandwich lacked any sort of sauce (despite saying it came with some on the menu).
