My sister and I we needed a quick bite to eat before heading to 115 Bourbon Street! Oak lawn Restaurant was the first option. The location is ideal .. dont judge the building. The decor and everything on the inside gives the place its rewarding 5 star. We were greeted by the owner/manager I presume and he was simply very welcoming. Even ask us how our night was going. Welcoming our waistress was nice and very understanding as it was our first time being there. She gave us her honest opinion on the menú and also kept the refills on the drinks on track. Not even once did we had to ask for anything. Would be definitely be coming back! :)

My husband and I ate dinner there tonight. We both had French onion soup and it was ok nothing great. My husband had a salad with delicious creamy homemade dressing. He had flounder stuffed with crab and it was only about 6 bites of food. I had a patty melt with fries. Fries cold and not crisp. The sandwich was a unseasoned tasteless piece of pre packaged burger. The rye bread and grilled onions were good on sandwich. I would never return. The waitress was clueless and terrible. Took her forever to bring anything and I actually saw her roll her eyes at another customer who had complained about his meal.

Service is friendly that is why I gave it three stars.. I went there twice one for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast was pretty good nice portions and tasteful. The dinner on the other hand was left to be desired. My mom ordered the prime rib. It was not prime rib but pot roast which was ok not very flavorful but very disappointing and expensive for pot roast . Then I ordered the shrimp Alfredo which was also very disappointing frozen shrimp and little to none flavor. All together I would say this place is not a dinner place but more of a breakfast joint.

Used to go there all the time when I was a kid...then I grew up. The place has an infestation problem that the owner refuses to remedy. Typical cheap Greek owner. AVOID unless you want to get ill. We reported the roach to the waitress and all she did was smack it and then ask us what we would like...leaving the crushed, dead roach and guts on the wall by our booth...we did not stay. Should be shut down!

Been there since I was born. Constantly updated. Great food. Everything is great. Especially the skirt steak and eggs on the daily specials. (Prior to 10:30a.m.) Even the 1967 Tornado didnt destroy it. The resturant is located across the street from where the old Suburban bus terminal used to be. 2-3 blocks from the epicenter of destruction. The bus terminal was leveled by the Tornado.

Very good old fashioned restaurant. Been going here for a quite a while now and I can honestly say that I have not gotten tired of it. Their burgers are something special, never got tired of it before. It always has a different special taste, thats how good it is. Very good price too, not overpriced at all. GO try it!

Roma is one of the best waitress you will ever have! Great priced specials come with free coffe and your cup will never be empty , Roma is back at your table ever 4 min..... the dont make them like her anymore! Food is excellent fried po atoes like mom used to make! Country fried steak is awesome

Will over charge if allowed. First order placed over phone when I got to store price was $2 more, I was told the online menu was not placed there by Oak Lawn Restaurant. Second order simple cheese burger with fries, ended up plain hamburger no fries. Really bad service

My family and I have eaten there as long as i can remember. Great food and a great price. The owner and staff are amazing, wonderfully warm and inviting. Great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nothing fancy but great quality for your dollar.

This restaurant is a typical Greek Family style restaurant. That being said they have a huge selection that is pretty fairly priced. Their breakfast skillets are some of the best around. Service is usually good, this place is always busy.

Ive been going here for about 15 years now and I love it. They have fantastic soups and a large menu. Its a pretty basic south side diner, but the staff is friendly and its been consistent over the years.

Great, friendly service. I had the Chicken Skillet, the chicken was tender and the vegetables grilled to perfection. This was my first time but will definitely be going back... best breakfast in Oak Lawn.
