Dont let my 3 star review fool you, there will be a time when this is exactly the restaurant you need. I moved to the area and saw this spot and knew I had to try it out. Of course I did not stop in immediately, I waited until it was 2am and my friends and I were drunk. They were maybe half full at the time so it didnt feel empty but the staff was not overloaded. We looked over the menu, classic diner items with plenty of options between breakfast and lunch/dinner food. All the prices were cheap and the servings were quite good. I ordered the philly cheese steak. The bread was nice and fluffy with a small layer of grease on the outside. It was filled with steak and green bell peppers and onions. Not the best meal for our colon but a great meal for your tongue. Will probably stop by there again on another drunk night or for a very early breakfast.

Every time I go here I order the bacon and eggs. The chef cooks the bacon perfectly when I order crispy bacon, and the eggs are scrambled just right. The menu has a large variety and you can customize your meal however you want. You can sit in your own booth with friends after a late night out, because this place is 24 hours. Or you can sit at the bar right behind the grill! Very relax environment and the location is great. You just walk off the brown line Kimball station and youre there.

The food is your standard diner. Pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, burger and fries. Its great for people viewing. Being next to the terminus of the Brown line, aka the Ravenswood el, youll get to see a myriad of people. From grammar school to corporate stiff, from Hispanic goth to Orthodox Jew, from the palatero, aka the ice cream man, to the little old Korean grandma and the Meth-head to the Mormoms on bicycles. Again, just order a cup of Joe and sit back and watch the people go by.

Ive been coming here on and off for 4 years - staff knows me down to the T, which I cant ask for more than that! Patty (the waitress there late nights) is such a doll - her engaging in conversations with customers will tell you how much she wants to get to know her customers, which brings a degree of hospitality to better levels! I cant give this less than 5 stars!
