Oh boy I FINALLY get to see what the big hype was about! Unfortunately its another burger joint in the area. Facebook posts made this place look like a gold mine, being from California I was hoping for something similar to In-n-Out but sadly it was not. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed the burger it was delicious but was nothing special. I arrived there after a long hard day at work a little close to 2 pm on a Saturday, I made sure to give myself a few weeks after the grand opening to miss the lines if they had any and to work out kinks and break in the new recruits. From the outside it looks good, eye catching burger joint. Going inside I can see signs of a busy lunch rush and a worn out crew. I was the only one in line at the time so I went right up, looked at the menu for a brief second and decided on the old classic, the "Double Bacon", cant go wrong with that right? If you have ever been to Five Guys then you will feel right at home, they dont include fries or a drink so that is separate, which is like the norm nowadays. So waiting in line I start to look around and get a feel for the place. The kitchen is right smack in front of you, you can see how your burger is made which is nice. The crew is young, like high school young, took me back to my first job in school. I can tell right away that they still didnt quite get the rhythm of the place yet but Im sure they will soon get it. Now this is the not so good part, Im still waiting....sure burgers take time to make I understand that, I myself make burgers at home and I know the time it takes. I see my burger being made and it looks delicious, I have not waited about 10 to 15 minutes since I ordered. I get my bag and go about my way to a long car ride home. I get home and immediately notice that there is no bacon :( Im torn, this place that I have been looking forward too made a mistake on the first go! BUT its ok, I understand its a new place people are new, things go wrong! We are only human after all. I finish my burger anyways and its good but still missed that magical ingredient....the bacon...I called the restaurant and informed them, I spoke to the owner who was kind enough to offer me a replacement with EXTRA bacon on the house! I was not angry, Im an easy going person it aint the end of the world if they mess up my order. Other then my first experience I WILL be going back to try different things! Keep on going guys, I can see this place being a good establishment if the effort and heart is in then you can do it!

We were very happy to see a new burger place, so we had to try it. First for the price I expected more. If I go to a place like Red Robin I pay about the same and it includes fries and is server hot. We place an order at Wayback on line and it was for 3 burgers, one kids chicken tender meals 3 orders of fries one with a cup of cheese side, the mac and cheese bites and an order of onion rings. Plus a variety of the dipping sauces. So where to start... The oder way placed and we were told it would be ready in about 18 minutes. We left right away since we are about ten minutes away. Once we got there we were shocked to see it empty. The employees were standing around talking to each other. That being said once they say us they did come to help us. We were told it would just be a minute, which was perfect. Our bags were sitting on the counter before we got there with food in them. Once the team we were waiting on was placed in the bags the girl packing the bags went to find the sauce we ordered. It took almost 5 minutes for her to return with the sauce. We get home with the food and start unpacking. Things did not get better. first the sides, fries, mac and cheese bite and the chicken tenders were in cheap paper food boats that were just kind of tossed into the bag. They were falling all over. They could have wrapped it in foil or something. The onion rings were not there even though the employee checked the order three time. Now the buyers were smashed under all the side and sauce. Not only were they smashed the were almost cold. I will say if they were warm or even hot they might have tasted good but they were not so they definitely did not taste good. The fries with a side of cheese were fries with a silce of cheese melted on them. The sides were all cold. I will say that the mac and cheese bits were ok even cold. If they were warm I bet they would be so good. The one thing that was really bad was with the sauce. We did order a few different sauces. They came in unmarked little cups so we had no idea what was what. They make a ghost pepper sauce and a chipotle mayo that were so very good but we ordered a blue cheese and they gave us one that had spoiled!! Over all even if all the food was there and it was served warn and not just thrown into a bag, for what you pay you might as well spend less and go to a fast food burger place like McDonalds and get the same quality or spend the same and go to someplace like Red Robins or TGIFridays and get a decent meal.

Disorganized. Poorly managed. Small burgers. So not worth it. We tried Wayback tonight and wont be going back. I ordered a single with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and mustard along with a side of cheese fries. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Blue Chicken and parmesan fries. Our sandwiches were brought out to the table first and we both had the same reaction "really, thats a sandwich?" Each was all bun. I opened my bun in search of my burger and was disappointed. The burger patty was much smaller than the bun and very thin. The chicken was also thin and smaller than the bun, plus the buffalo sauce was ice cold, making the chicken cold. We waited a bit thinking our fries would be coming out right away and when they didnt, I walked up to the counter to see if theyd forgotten about them. I was told theyd be right out, so I went back to the table and we started eating our sandwiches. We arent fast eaters, but both of us were almost completely done with our sandwiches by the time our fries were delivered to the table. While we were eating, I started paying attention to everything else going on in the restaurant. There were 6 tables of 2-4 people each, plus a gentleman who ordered before us waiting for his take-out order. Each table received their order in pieces . . .sandwiches first, then sides several minutes later. Two groups actually received their fries after they were completely done eating everything else. Several times food was delivered to the wrong table. Its not rocket science. Everyone is given a number when they place their order and the numbers were clearly visible on each table. The man who ordered his food to go finally got his order - only 1 bag of food - after wed finished eating our sandwiches and our fries. He had to have waited at least 25 minutes for one bag of food . . .in a restaurant that was practically empty. The man, who I assume was the manager, seemed completely oblivious to the issues, moved in slow motion and also managed to deliver food to the wrong tables on a couple of occasions. As I said, we wont be going back and I wont be suggesting Wayback to any of our friends and neighbors. In fact, well be doing just the opposite. Save yourself the aggrivation and go to Five Guys or Red Robin or Wendys for that matter. All are better than Wayback.
