Came for a car show in the park down the street. Decided to walk over here for some lunch. I think they were caught a little short-handed because of the car show so thats not their fault I blame the Chamber of Commerce in these towns when they dont tell local restaurants whats going. Kitchen was a little slow but well worth the wait. Food was delicious staff was friendly and attentive even though being short-handed. I would definitely come back again! Definitely worth stopping in a few like brisket. Brisket sandwich was very delicious. Our table also had a burger & pork sandwich. Everybody was very pleased with their food.

Too expensive. Also not enough sauce. When I asked for extra it was a 2 dollar charge for BBQ sauce. ?????When I arrived for pickup they microwaved my mashed potatoes to heat them up and had too much butter. For an 18 dollar lunch I expected more than half a slab of mediocre ribs....microwaved mashed potatoes,a tiny side of orzo salad and a 16 ounce fountain drink. I will say the orzo salad is really good....but two bites is not a portion....a least not for 18 bucks.

The food was good, and the place was nice, but I saw that if I wanted to share a dinner with my son, then it would be an additional 2 dollars. I have never seen this before, and I eat out often. The waitress was nice and said that a lot of places are doing that now. Nope. Nobody does this except fire and ice. For this reason I will not eat there again. If I do, it will be "to go" so they can not charge me an extra two dollars if I want to share. Ridiculous.

I purchased 2 homemade icecream cones. The icecream tasted pretty good but was a bit pricey for the serving size. I had to ask twice for sprinkles on one of them and when I was given said sprinkles it was about a teaspoonful. I like my sprinkles so this was kind of irritating. I would have asked a 3rd time for more but then I look like the bad guy. 3 stars because Ive had the food before and it was delicious and the owners are very nice.

Been here twice, now, since we recently moved to the Marengo area. Beef brisket, sliders, slabs of ribs - all delicious!! The mashed potatoes are VERY good!! Other sides are great, too. Very good service. Decor simple, but clean and interesting. Home-made ice cream - WOW! I tried the cinnamon bun flavor tonight... YUMMMMM!!

Awesome sampler platter, they even got my wifes bloody Mary and my long island right. Its worth coming in just for the amazing smell. Nikki the waitress was knowledgeable and super friendly/helpful. From Wisconsin but worth the drive down here.

Wow this place is awesome! I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. The staff was great and very attentive. The home made ice cream is awesome. Try the apple cinnamon ice cream if its available. It is very good.

Horrible slow service. Food was either cold or overcooked. Hair in ice cream sunday. Had to get our own drink refills because waitress never came back to table. Over 2 hours to have lunch.

Fabulous pork tenderloin sandwich. Loved the orzo and cucumber salad. The service was very attentive. Just wish they served beer. My date really liked the "man cave" decor :)
