Soup with a side of metal. I went into this location and ordered a meal including cream of chicken soup. When I got back to work (I was on lunch) i opened my soup and was surprised. After a few spoonfuls of delicious cream of chicken soup, I found a thin metal shaving (looked like tinsel) about an inch long. It was hard metal, perhaps a shaving from opening an aluminum can. Who knows how it got in there but thank got I didnt eat it. Now this is where it gets good. We called the Patio to let them know about the metal in my soup and request a replacement. No big deal, just wanted a new soup in place of my dangerous metal soup. The manager Anna informed me that I would first have to drive back to the restaurant and let them inspect my soup and the metal object before a new soup could be given to me. I thought this was ridiculous. I dont intent to return back immediately to show them the issue because Im at work. I figured they could make a note and give me my free soup next time I returned. Ill be going to Portillos next time. This is what I get for not going to Portillos. No metal in their soup.

This may be "BBQ", but it sure aint "barbeque". I found the food expensive and bland. Im no expert, but I know slow-cooked brisket takes on certain characteristics. Heck, this brisket was still rubbery, the fat of brisket is a benefit, but not in this case. Under the slathering of sauce, the meat was also cold, unseasoned, with no smoke flavoring, nor the coveted " ring" of pink. The fries are overly greasy, unseasoned, and a medium thickness "steak fry" style. All the napkins and the bag itself were soaked in grease, but like most "steak fries" they tasted dry to me. *Note: both of my visits were during the lunch hour rush, and the restaurant was rather full. So maybe the quality issues would be better during the off hours.

The Oreganato Chicken is amazeballs! It is tender(practically melts in your mouth), the sauce is great. For a little under $12 the portions are perfect! It came with French bread, a choice of soup or salad (I had the soup, cream of chicken shell) and choice of potato(had the garlic mashed). The soup was fabulous! The only thing that I thought needed a little more butter was the mashed potatoes. They were ok. I placed my order over the phone, they were fast and friendly and I got to pick it up through the drive thru. I was very impressed by how they packaged everything; they really took their time so nothing spilled out.

Came here on a Tuesday night around 7, while it looked busy I got my order really quick. The dining area has a nice atmosphere. Didnt realize it until after I sat down but there is a bar in the back. I ordered the half rack of ribs, they werent bad, but not really great either, pretty standard really. They were also a bit cold. The sauce was a nice sweet sauce. Being from NC I prefer more vinegar or mustard base style sauces on pork, but this is a pretty solid sweet sauce. Fries and cole slaw were great. Overall I was satisfied and full, probably will try something besides the ribs next time.

Ribs are a 9 out of 10. Excellent. I cook my own ribs and these are VERY CLOSE. I love them in a pinch. But, the fries and other stuff - not so great. I will say, the place is clean, fast, and KIND. I really recommend it for a quick rib din. Superb cafeteria style - but, cozy as heck. You can have a beer too. Reasonable. Cold. I love it. I just wish their "sides" were good. I think the mashed potatoes were good. but, honestly, thats it. I should get a salad next time.

My family visits quite often for dinner. I usually get the BBQ 1/2 chicken dinner and it it consistently excellent. The last time we ate there I ordered the full slab of ribs. I was extremely disappointed with what I received. The ribs very tough and extremely dry, and smothering them in sauce didnt help any. For the price I paid I expect a quality meal and dont feel I got what I paid for.

The food is always great at Patio, so that is no contest. However, customer service an use some improvement. The guy taking our order at the register seemed uninterested while we were placing and had to ask several clarification questions after since he did not pay attention the first time. However, the other guy that brought out our food and cleaned up was very nice and friendly.

I have always loved the patio since I was a kid but service here sucks, they always get order wrong , food takes forever, I understand stores want to make a profit but it if they hired more then minimum wage then would get more accuracy out of the workers its more than just a smile, and they are so cheap with napkins and ketchup literally handing them to me one at a time

I hadnt been there before. Its like a fast food joint for BBQ. You go to the register, order your food, pay, then take your number card to a table of your choice and wait. Service was quick. When my half order of ribs arrived, my first thought was how long have they been sitting under a heat lamp? They were not very good ribs the sauce was okay. I probably wont go back.

Pretty good for a blend of sit-down meal and fast food. Order at the window and they deliver to the table. BBQ is decent, and you generally get a good amount of food with the meals. Attended during Winter, and they have an indoor fireplace going, which adds a nice touch. Looks like it would be a good spot for eating outside during summer too.

Use to love this place, ate here sometimes on weekends but always got a salad on weekdays during lunch since it was so close to work. Todays salad came w/ a fly and I dont think I will ever come back to this place. Manager gave me a refund and stated this happened once before in the summer. I think i will now be checking every food i order.

The food was ok. I tried the rib & beef brisket combo. The brisket was by far better than the ribs. I was disappointed there wasnt much meat on the ribs. The staff was very friendly. It was an option. If given choice between McDonalds, Burger King, Arbys and the Patio, I would definitely go to the patio.

We have been going to The Patio for years. We love the variety of food. We love the ribs of course but everything we have tried we enjoy. The employees(especially Tom in Lombard) are so friendly. Tom always asks how everything is and if we need anything. It is always an enjoyable experience.
