I just left this restaurant on lunch very hungry.I really LOVE PHILLY SANDWICHES...So I was a little excited about getting one. I ordered a 12 in steak sandwich with grilled onions, mushrooms, pepers and mayo. So imagine how disappointed I was when I received my sandwich of grilled onions and cheese with a garnish of steak. So I nicely asked for my sandwich to be made over. The manager was pleasant and apologize and told the cook to remake it. This excited about eating my lunch. But when I received my new sandwich it appears that all the cook did was take the same stuff off the orginal loaf and added mushrooms to new loaf... So I asked for a refund. The manager once again apologizing. When I passed by the cook he said with a smirk on his face "have a nice day". Now I see why It was only 4 people including myself in the restaurant.

Best service ever! I was there a few weeks ago, for the first time. Before ordering, I was talking to my husband about the toppings I might want on my sandwich. When I went up to the cashier lady, and said I wanted the Philly, she said "with banana peppers and onions?" It shocked me...she was listening to me the whole time before I even decided. Felt like she read my mind! Very attentive and very friendly. Going back tonight to use my coupon for a free sub (signed up for their mailing list and got it.) By the way, you get a TON of fries. You could share a small or a medium with another person.

The folks at Penn Station are some of the nicest youll ever meet. Its been a while since I stopped in for a sandwich but if its calm enough, the order taker will usually take the time to strike up a conversation. And its not just me, they will take the time with all of their regulars. Get the fresh cut fries, they are the best. And the sandwiches are big so dont worry about the "6 not being enough, its well packed. I usually get the Italian with everything but most of their sandwiches are really good. The pizza is also a plus.

So I went here with friends, even though I wasnt really hungry. I was looking for something light. I opted for the veggie sub thing (I forgot the name). I was very much expecting it to tastes like a plain salad in between bread. I took a bite and had to open up my sandwich because I would have sworn there was meat in there. Really awesome seasoning going on for just some veggies! The best thing here is probably the fries, though. AMAZING!

Blan dry no taste. For a minute I thought I had a cold coming on ..,Nope ...jus a plan dry ass sandwich. If I closed my eyes it was like I was eating Corkboard sprinkled with saw dust and pencil shavings. Never again . Hey mayb ur into 5 day old bread croutons or that taste like u were sanding drywall for 10 hrs with out a dust mask on . Then this is the place for u . Blah

Highly recommend to drive right past Subway, Jimmy Johns and Jersey Mikes to get the very best sandwich at Penn Station. These are by far and away the best sub sandwiches you will find. Great, friendly service in a clean, comfortable atmosphere too.

They have the best subs in the west suburbs good prices & a friendly staff. I cant get enough of their signature philly cheesesteak. There arent many around but I highly recommend the one on 56.
