I work in Barrington, so the Lake Zurich DQ is most convenient for me. 2-3 times a week, I have a large chocolate cone as my lunch. Traditionally, the Lake Zurich DQ is chincy on the amount of ice cream, plus, its very "airy," as though they pump in air to inflate the volume. Not what I would consider ice cream--more like whipped cream instead. Last summer, I was thrilled to have discovered a DQ in Algonquin which I prefer soooo much more. The amount of ice cream is more of what I expect, not "airy," and the employees are so much more pleasant. Today, I gave the Lake Zurich DQ another try, thinking maybe they had changed owners, ice cream machines, or something. Same old, same old. Never again will I go there. Ill drive the extra miles to Algonquin, where I know Ill be happy with the product.

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE! Me and my family went there for the first time since it opened. He got a blizzard and took one bite and didnt like it what so ever. He asked nicely if he could do an exchange and the OWNER was so rude and did not care at all didnt exchange or even think of a solution to fix the problem. I will never come here again. The owner is a cheap ass who does not care about his customers. I would not reccomend it to anybody.

I was visiting my in laws for the holiday weekend. I always order my favorite ice cream in every city I visit. This was the most horrible experience I have ever encountered at any Dairy Queen. I order extra nuts, had to ask for them at the wondow, it tasted like pure salt. The young man didnt give me a top and when I asked for one he told me to just smash it down on there. Ice cream was terrible, customer service terrible.

so disappointed with the presumed manager of dairy queen. waited for about 10 minutes and once he opened the window, he said we were not as important as the drive through to him and was forced to wait. once i ordered, it took another 10 minutes for it to come out. this establishment is understaffed and incompotent.

Awesome!!! The Lake Zurich location is great, they always show blizzards can be turned upside down. So glad they got rid of that terrible Sonic place. Been going to that guy since my oldest was in little league. Hats off to that guy, AWESOME JOB. Had birthday cakes, and boxes of dilly bars love Dairy Queen!!

Paid $9.01 for 2 large hot fudge sundaes and got containers full of ice cream with 2 thin lines of fudge that was not even warm . I should have just went to the grocery store and got a half gallon and added my own hot fudge. It would have been cheaper and better than this dairy Queen.

Workers frequently appeared flustered and arent always the most pleasant; however, they all do their job. The ice cream is a little expensive for its quality in my opinion, but its a decent place to go on a nice, sunny day because of the outdoor seating (and only outdoor seating).
