BEWARE...DONT GET RIPPED OFF!!! I have tried this place twice and wish I could take both attempts back...never again ...the 1st try, ordered a breakfast sandwich while waiting for train. Told them about train and was assured there was plenty of time so I paid and waited...nope train showed up before sandwich, so I basically gave CBC $10 for nothing...felt like I should have planned better, so let it go...last Friday, Oct 28th I decided to give them another shot..TOTAL RIP OFF....I was charged $21.25 for a take out order which was the hot brown, and the order of biscuits & gravy, but without the eggs. Since it was take out, I asked for the gravy on the side and was told "no, they wont do that" I thought I heard wrong so I asked "did you say no to gravy on the side" and was again told "no, they dont like substitutions" I couldnt believe I was having this conversation, so assuming they was the kitchen, asked "if they would confirm this with they" and was put on hold...I had decided if they wouldnt honor this request, Id cancel the order...you can pour gravy on biscuits, but cant un-pour it, so on the side feels like normal...anyway, the person came back on the phone a few minutes later and said "ok" to the gravy on the side...when I arrived home and opened the take out containers, I was beyond shocked...what a joke and I kid you not, I was charged $21.25......really disappointing.

I whole heartedly believe that Aphrodite herself milked her bosom and blessed the bakers with divine milk to create heavenly cupcakes that hark "Courageous!" Into my cranium as I devoir the soul essence of ethereal matter. Zeus wept as I wrote this review and a small droplet landed upon my head as I exited this fantastic place.. I slept well for 6 days and awoke on the 7th with a feeling of tender bliss in my tummy.. Years later, I will fully begin to understand this miracle... If these words were too profound for you, " This place is amazing " should suffice, though I advise you to embrace that it does not do justice to reveal my feelings..truly.

This might be my wifes and my favorite place in Elmhurst--period. The sweets (and weve sampled most of them) are delectable. The breakfast burrito is the best Ive ever had (with clean flavors that dont get washed out with some sort of sauce). And the Lorraine sandwich is a great way to spend $6. (My wife prefers the chilaquiles, which I have to say, are fantastic--though definitely on the spicy side.) I love the fun atmosphere, the tables outside in warm weather, and the great selection of tea--courtesy of Serendipiteaz, as I recall. They also provide a punch card for frequent visitors, which is nice.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... Three times shame on me. I want tour like your place, the food is good, youre local and the mission is great. but, 45 min from ordering to getting food is unacceptable - especially with a 2 year old. The same excuses every time: were short staffed... We make our food from scratch. maybe you should hire more staff. Better yet, hire a manager who has experience and knows how to run a restaurant. Im sick of excuses and your attitude. Ill be taking my business elsewhere and encouraging everyone I know to do the same.

Great Place, but a little understaffed for Brunch the last Saturday I went. Took my Dad here to celebrate fathers day and got the Chilaquiles. They came in a bowl instead of on a plate like I got them last time. I think this caused them to get soggy. It really wasnt that enjoyable. The complimentary homemade doughnut holes that they put on the table were phenomenal, though. I dipped them in my Chocolate covered Pretzel coffee drink, which was also phenomenal. I would recommend coming here on a weekday for brunch until they are fully staffed.

People make a big fuss over cupcakes nowadays and I generally scoff at that. I am a prodigious eater but I dont care much for sweets and I consider this to be a trendy item and it doesnt appeal to me. Then, my girlfriend got a groupon for the place so I was dragged in, kicking and screaming. And I was delighted. And - Ive been back. Ill admit it. The fact that they do all this for a good cause makes it 100x better, but the cupcakes stand on their own. Ill admit it.

Brightly colored and lit bakery with substantial breakfast and lunch menu. 12-15 tables, some low and some high with stools. Several outlets. Free wi-fi with password. Rock at low volume on audio. Small selection of reasonable quality loose leaf teas. Large selection of pastries and cupcakes. I had some very good donut holes and a decent pistachio croissant. Very friendly staff.

This is a quaint, cozy neighborhood place. Its great to stop for a coffee or sit and enjoy a big breakfast. My favorites are their PASTRIES. The donuts are out of this world and so fresh! Get them before theyre gone! Sometimes the weekends get crazy busy so dont go if youre in a rush. Sit back, relax and enjoy the awesome, laid-back guitarist!

Nice little bakery. I think they are more known out and about in their food truck but the bakery itself is good. The sandwiches are all made to order and if its turkey or ham its off the bone. Nice location and a bright atmosphere but they close earlier in the day than most lunch places so come earlier than normal or just go for breakfast!

Best. Cupcakes. Ever. Yeah, and they make some amazing breakfast/brunch/lunch food too. Oh, and their cakes are serious as well. Did I mention they have some spot-on pastries? Outdoor seating in cute, downtown Elmhurst? A loyalty program? Gluten Free Options? Yeah, thats right: You want a cupcake from here....

Dont want to go to Elmhurst? I dont blame you. Luckily you can get these delicious cupcakes in Chicago from their foodtruck! Regular routes M-F (follow them on Twitter for all the updates). I highly recommend Pink Velvet and think theyd be a great choice to cater a special event.

Had good cupcakes and pastries, but terrible breakfast sandwiches. The egg is never actually scrambled and always over cooked. Also, the biscuit is dense and dry. They do make great croissants though.

Good food but not fast at all. Came.in at 7:02 on way out of town and took 30 minutes for a breakfast burrito and oatmeal and a couple parfaits. Was.missing 3 pastries as well. Glad I checked the bag!

Amazing brunch, with great chilaquiles and omlettes. Lots of small tables, so prepare to wait if you are a group of 4+ or have small children. Well worth it, though. Cupcakes are pretty awesome, too.

I ordered online for a holiday party. Everyone loved it. They delivered on time and the food was fresh and delicious. The m&m cookies were a big hit! I would order from here again. Great service.

This place is great. Service, food (especially the sweets) are all exceptional. And its easily accessible with plenty of parking and has got a great view of the passing trains which kids love.

The Courageous Bakery truck came to our business location. Our employees loved the break and raved about the cupcakes. There were lots of varieties to choose from and they were delicious!
