I think my husband and I have given this place too many chances just because the coffee really is so good! Thats what kept drawing us back, but every time without fail, we got some of the worst possible service where the owner and (I believe) his daughter are so rude to us. Our last visit was the last straw. Id rather go next door to the Whole Foods Cafe, where the service is always super friendly. Our first time here, my husband, who grew up helping his dad grow coffee plants in Central America, was making small talk about coffee growing with the owner while we were placing our order. Apparently my husband misunderstood part of the process and when he asked if the light color of the coffee beans was due to bleaching, the owner got very upset and started insulting him. He actually told my husband, a paying customer checking out his shop for the first time, that he needed to go back where he came from and get his facts straight before he wanted to try and talk about coffee. Weve visited probably 4 more times since then and, each time, hes blatantly rude to us. I think were done here.(Good coffee though; wont lie!)

This is my first time here, but Im already impressed. The owner has gone above and beyond. He clearly knows and values his regulars. Right now hes having a conversation with one of them about her recent hip surgery, and its the most endearing scene. Their Cafe de Olla is delicious. Im having it black, and Im convinced thats the only way it should be consumed. Usually I sip my coffee progressively. Right now Im considering getting a straw and asking for another. Ive also just taken my first sip of their iced blueberry matcha..... You guys, Im never leaving.

We had a group of 5, with tea and coffee and hot chocolate drinkers. Everyone gave their beverage a great review. We did not order food, but the menu showed salads and home-made Tortas available. The service was very attentive, and the shop has a unique vibe to it. If you are looking for an alternative to the chain coffee experience, I recommend Cafe La Foftuna for a cup.

Amazing service. Amazing food. I often see the owner there and he always checks in to see how everything is and even offered to get me water when he saw I was done with me meal. Im not a coffee drinker, but their Mexican hot chocolate is amazing. Great place to come work on your computer or chat with a friend.

Cafe LA Fortuna roasts their own coffee beans in house that they get from their coffee plantation in Mexico! Thats the long way off saying they have great coffee. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful, including the owner who is there often. Really good authentic Mexican food also.

Delicious authentic Mexican food! Dishes are small so you can try a few different ones. Everything Ive had is awesome but the molletes are my favorite. This is a great place to hang out with friends after work. They even have a nice variety of wine and beer on tap!

My absolute favorite cafe. Very warm and comfortable atmosphere with a welcoming owner and staff. The menu will keep you more than satisfied for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. Food is delicious and tastes homemade. And their houseblend coffee is amazing!

The cafe hours are all over the place and its never open late (I enjoy coffee in the evening), but otherwise the coffee is great and reasonably priced. Just check the hours before you go. Ive gone a number of times and they were closed!

Great atmosphere and staff. Both drink and food are great. I especially like the fireplace. Just dont know why the owner was a little obsessed to turn the fire off during a cold day in front of me when I was still sitting in there.

Why havent more restaurants figured out how to do it right!!! The food is delicious and the pace is perfect unless you think you are at a fast food restaurant. Everything is freshly made and worth the wait!
