They do not honor Groupon discounts that they sell anymore, Maybe trying to makeup for the empty tables in the new location. The young chap waiting our table wanted to know if we wanted water as we had ordered Lassi(yougurt drick). We did not get water until 10 minutes after we started our meal. We were constantly buzzed by a couple of flies who I must say were having a fine time food tasting. Finally they would not honor the discount coupon which was what they sell in groupon and other websites as $8 for $25 if your check is above $50. They have honored many times in the old location. Maybe they are trying to pinch pennies (pockets) to make up for the losses from the move to the new location. Even the way they denied the discount was rude. He sounded like i was begging him while it was something they sold me. Anyway, i would say they are dishonest at best. I am a local and they just lost my business. I have sent many of my neighbors their way in the past. I will be sure to share this updated review around.

It made me so happy when Taj opened in Edwardsville. Prior to that, Mr. Curry was the only nearby option and wasnt nearly as good. Taj is excellent; their execution of Indian dishes is parallel to other options in the St. Louis area. It is great Indian cuisine without the drive to St. Louis. Beyond the convenience and food quality, the staff and owners are diligent and friendly. The restaurant is always clean and taken care of. The food prices are comparable to any Indian restaurant Ive been to in the past. They do have a lunch buffet which is a nice option when visiting with people who arent familiar with Indian food and who are a bit skittish about committing to a particular dish.

Flavor was okay, maybe just not meant for me. Staff was attentive and kept refilling our drinks. My boyfriend and I went for the lunch buffet and was very disappointed. I made sure to read these reviews before we went and everyone had suggested the butter chicken. When we arrived there was nobody else in the restaurant so it was a little awkward. We sat our stuff down and went to the buffet to find out that they didnt put the butter chicken out, but I was ok with it. We tried a few different items but left soon after due to finding three white hairs on our food. Point being, I will never go back.

I was brought here by a friend in Edwardsville, and I had one of the best Indian meals I ever had. Ive eaten lots of Indian food on Devon Ave in Chicago and in London. Our dinner, served by Tajs gracious owner was perfectly spiced and delicious. The only problem I saw was that on a Friday night, the place was empty except for us. Cmon people! This place is a jewel! Support it. Make it your destination. You wont regret it.

Authentic North Indian taste.!!!!! MUST TRY....Authentic North Indian taste. This is one of our most favorite restaurants in Edwardsville IL! We love nearly everything on the menu. The owner cares very much about his customers. He is really friendly and always makes a point of speaking to us and asking how everything is. How can this place be here in the middle of nowhere and have such great, Indian cuisine. Its not just food. It is thoughtfully prepared with wonderful flavors. If you know Indian food, you will love this place. If your new, it is not all hot spicy, unless you choose to have it that way. But, the wonderful rich tastes and creamy luscious sauces are fabulous.

Terrible service! I reached there an hour before their lunch buffet closed. All the items on the menu were over and I had to remind them to refill items multiple times. They ran out of few items and took time to refill. I was served water only after I asked for it! The food was not fresh and the taste was not that great either. Do not recommend this place.

Very solid! They just remodeled last week. The buffet is great, but I was slightly disappointed that there were no lamb or goat dishes.That said, all the dishes I tried were great - and I tried them all. :-) They also had a fabulous chai that came with the buffet. I bought a drink, but I wouldnt next time.Good chutneys, pickle and sauces.

I love this place. I ordered on a whim one night and was very impressed. Im a huge fan of the lamb dishes, but anything from the tandoori menu is great. The naan portions are very generous. I usually only do takeout, but the service has always been exceptionally polite. Highly suggest trying this place if youre on the fence about it.

Love their new restaurant. Food is always delicious. Only downside, at their old location, is that it seemed like the service was intermittent. Once I was seated, I never got a drink. However, at their new location, it seemed much more professional and I was served promptly and the waiter checked in several times.

Excellent Dining experience. If you like spicy food and want something other than wings check this place out. The Lamb Korma was delicious and they can make all their dishes as spicy as you want. They have a 1-10 scale for them. Service was also great. I cant wait to go for lunch and try the buffet.

Great authentic Indian food! Very happy this place opened near by. Plus they will make it very spicy on request, hard to find out here. Service has always been good. They are slowly changing the interior as time permits from its former occupants.

One of the best and my first Indian restaurants Ive ever eaten at. First time I tried mango Lassi. Absolutely delicious. Ended up as one of my favorite beverages! Lovely atmosphere delicious food. Will definitely eat here again!

Although the employees were nice, the waiter could not answer our questions or explain what we were getting. The food was subpar and very costly for the amount you got ($87 for 4 people without any drinks).

Great service. Unsweetened tea is excellent. Had the lunch buffet for $8.99. Nice selection, and they constantly refreshed the line. Highly recommended!
