Holy ...Moly.... Ive been cake tasting for my June wedding, and I figured I would check out Krutas. I got a cupcake and a mini apple pie for $3. I dont even like pie, but I bought it for my fiance, and I ended up splitting it with him. The CUPCAKE. Oh lord have mercy. It was so soft and moist. I wish I could actually describe how soft it was. I have never had one so good. Never. I also dont like icing, but theirs was average. The guy at the counter was so patient with me, even though I took forever. I wish I would have bought a dozen cupcakes.

Krutas is the best around!!! They have been a family owned business for years and years. They have maintained a wonderful quality over all these years. I order all our cup cakes and party cakes from here every time! Quality is awesome and the price is the lowest I have found! Price and quality FIVE STARS Oh and not only that but they are so friendly! They remember us there and ask how things are going. I had them do our baby gender reveal cake and they were just as excited as we were!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE

Krutas is amazing! By far the best bakery in the St. Louis metro area. Radio bars, pineapple cheesecake and gooey butter cake are all just silly good. And their donuts.... oh! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I completely disagree with the last review, the grocery store bakery cant hold a candle to Krutas. Someone needs their taste buds checked and replaced. Go try them out, you will not regret it!

So far we have found the German chocolate cake and Angel cream donuts to be the best we have ever tasted, but we also loved the fudge cake, cupcake and the other pastry we tried. Everything was very fresh and moist and not overly sweet. I find their items to be more traditional in general and their prices are reasonable. We have only gone twice so far but plan to visit more often.

Known about Krutas since I was a little girl. My parents grew up here in the area and my dad was a career military man. Whenever we came home wed have to go to Krutas. Now we are settled back in this area and now we go as much as we can. Dont live close but we make the drive just to have a special treat. Best cream horns, cheese cakes and gooey butter anywhere Ive ever lived!!!!!

Im not sure what kind of damage Larry O (review above) has done to his taste buds, but he missed the mark on this one. Krutas is one of the best bakeries in the region (if not THE best). The cakes are ridiculously good, the chocolate frosting on the donuts is perfect, and the cherry strudel will be served in heaven. Trust me. Treat yourself some Saturday morning.

Kruta Bakery is among the best full line bakerys in the St. Louis area. There are only a few left. I travel 50 miles from Wildwood, Mo. for their gooey butter, danish, and donuts. Former president & GM Lake forest Pastry Shop-Clayton, Mo. 1974-January 1998. Prices are fair, and they still make fresh baked goods, the old fashioned way-delicious.--William Binder

Ive been going to Krutas for years - especially for their cakes, which are hands-down the best Ive ever tasted. Donuts are awesome too. Heck, I cant recall anything that Ive ever sampled there that I havent liked! Line is usually a mile long on Saturday mornings, but it moves quickly.

Kruta Bakery is a nice establishment that has a delectable selection of pastries. The only true fault is their cake. Growing up in the area, this is the go-to for most birthdays and parties. Sadly, the icing for these cakes has a cloying sweetness.
