The food is DELICIOUS! The bbq Id give 10 stars if I could, but only once did I get a decent person at the counter. The other few times its been some nasty attitude a**hole who cant admit that their equipment doesnt work and Ive been treated like a criminal just trying to place an order. Ive been denied service because they cant see to it that their card reader and/or Internet connection works and I get accused of being a bum when my card works just fine at any other store, restaurant or ATM!! Only THIS PLACE seems to have an issue with my card and as a person with a computer degree and a very good grasp of technology, I can assure them that they need to make sure their equipment works and that their telecommunications lines are in working order before you make a scene and accuse hard working people of being bums and trash!!!! I can always get cash at an ATM first, but I hate being treated like some POS that doesnt deserve anything.

Are you lost? Just follow the smell of sweet smokey deliciousness like a Hansel and Gretel bread crumb path and you will find your way! I always think twice before going to a three star rated restaurant, but that shouldnt sway you from checking out Wrigley BBQ if you live in the hood. Order at the counter and they bring it to you, BYOB, only about 15 tables and yes the old Q-uiznos chairs from other reviews are funny! Really enjoyed the pulled pork platter $11, tender and saucy, served with one piece of white bread. Mac and Cheese side is garlicy and amazing. Whipped maple sweet potatoes were good but I was bored after two bites. Jalapeno cornbread was a little dry, coleslaw was more basic than Jewel and really soupy. Roommate said she makes better ribs, half rack $12, they had great color, lots of meat and little fat but she didnt think they were fallin off the bone enough and actually left a few bites.

I waited until the third time I visited to write a review. Honestly, I dont know why Ive been here three times - this is the worst BBQ Ive had in Chicago. The ribs come out cold every time, the burgers are bland, and the brisket is mediocre at best. The french fries are not seasoned and the cole slaw is essentially a soup. As for the decor, I hope you enjoy chairs purchased from a Quiznos fire sale, because thats what youll find here. To top it off, they are regularly out of drinks, ketchup, or sauces. For the life of me, I cannot understand how this place has over four stars. The only explanation is that anyone who likes this place has literally never been to another BBQ restaurant. If you enjoy food, I implore you, do not waste your time with Wrigleyville BBQ.

I went there last year right after Opening Day, the place is only a 10 minute walk from Wrigley Field and the place was empty an hour after the sold out game......NOT a good sign....We were the only 2 people there. The BBQ was served cold, like it had been sitting around for awhile under a heat lamp and was tough and chewy. The portions were small considering the price. I am a Chef and Pitmaster, I have worked in the Restaurant industry for over 25 years so yeah, I can tell good from bad, and this place was bad. NOT recommended!!!

The restaurant had an offer on Groupon so I decided to try it for the fist time. Just prior to paying for my carryout order, I was told that it was under new management and that the offer would probably not be honored. The gentleman at the counter was very kind and apologetic. He offered sides and beverages for compensation. However, the worst part of the experience was the food. The bbq chicken, a half chicken and wings were awful. Hopefully they will improve!

I lived in Nashville for several years before this and this place does it right! Easily the best BBQ Ive had in Chicago. Anybody that says the employees are rude, unkind, etc. are certainly wrong. Ive been here several times and always been welcomed as I come through the door. Also their sauces are amazing. The Texas Habenero is fantastic if you like a kick. Would recommend to any BBQ lover!

This BBQ joint has good food. Sandwiches are sold ala carte with many sides to add. They also have dinner platters. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very good. They have several sauces you can add yourself which I like to do. Seating could be a bit more comfortable. The staff was very friendly. TIP: review the paper menu on the counter it has more items then just the overhead board.

3 meat combo was great. BBQ shredded chicken, pulled pork & sliced brisket. I liked the chicken the best, great for sandwiches. Brisket was really well done, nice and tender. Sides were beans and coleslaw, neither of which were outstanding, but both good. Will definitely order again, and recommend to others looking for BBQ in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview neighborhoods.

Best bar-b-q in the world! Im from Memphis so i know good from good and this place is simply amazing. The guy that have the place 1 star because the server put a hot plate in front of a 10 month old should be asked why their 10 month old is eating bar-b-q. Anyway, try the pulled chicken sandwich and fried pickles, your mouth will thank you.

This is one of my fave burger joints in Chicago, and the service is great. They are always so nice and friendly. Only sorda downside is that theyre somewhat slow, so youll wait a little (normal time, I guess, if youre with company, otherwise it feels long, hahaha). You can order on their app and pick-up or have delivered, which is nice.

The brisket was absolutely fantastic, sides and the sauces were on the same page. Quick to get the food considering the quality, and the owner was super friendly and looked like he was doing what he loved. I dont often find myself in chicago, but this will be on my list every time! If you want some amazing bbq, this is your place!

Woohoo! They open 11:30am everyday now! I can have it lunch or/and dinner any day I want! Yeah! Killer ribs, baked bean & mashed sweet potato, and corn bread, and... The bread pudding, and choco pecan bar are to die for!!! And my veggie friends love their veggie sandwich and salad. This place makes everyone HAPPY! :-)

So happy to see BBQ this close to home...I can smell them smoking from my house! Very good food, many choices from sides to sauce. Fun staff. Beware the pulled pork burger, its a gut buster full burger with a full helping of Pulled pork on top! Ask for extra of your favorite sauce, killer corn bread, too!

Came here with my friend my daughter and my 10 month old grandchild. Ordered food. It was over cooked. Then the waitress came back and set a HOT plate in front of the baby. Really? She was very rude and didnt seem to care. I will never come back and will never recommend this place!

The food here is good but expensive. As a small, carry-out place I would love to be able to swing by here more often for dinner but I just cant afford it. Also make sure you call ahead of time if youre in a hurry because it can take a while to get your food.
