I would give 10 out of 10 to this amazing restaurant. I went there on a weekday so I didnt have to wait for a long time. It was full of local people(I guess) and food was so damn good. I ordered just half ribs with onion rings cause I dont eat a lot and it was enough for me.

I came here on a Friday night for some ribs and the place was packed. We were quoted an hour wait, so we went for a walk around the block. 45 minutes later, we came back and the hostess said she already called our names. She was still able to seat us, but in the less favorable outdoor seating on the cold night. We were hungry so we went for it anyways The heat lamp saved us a bit.. I ordered the ribs and I was not disappointed. It came with a side of onion rings that were gigantic. We also got the chicken, and it was decent, but paled in comparison to the ribs. Our server was super nice. She was constantly around seeing if we needed help. The busboy was quick to clean our table when we were finished. The portion were big, so we left with some chicken for the next day. Of course, we didnt have any ribs leftovers. They were too finger-licking good.

My hubby and I consider this our favorite restaurant in Chicago. Were fortunate to live within walking distance- well, really within smelling distance- and the scent of the bbq sauce always reals us in. The food is outstanding for the price. Theres nothing fussy about the place- and we like it that way. We recommend the pulled pork and the creamed spinach. Go early (5:00) if you want to be seated right away, otherwise enjoy the wait. Theres a nice school playground right across the street so if you are waiting with kids they can burn off a little energy. Weve had a many a special evening at Twinnies and will be going back for more for years to come.

I have to say that these ribs unfortunately were SO good, that I wanted to be coming back for more! I love this place. The old speakeasy ambience is wonderful, and the neighborhood is all there. Reminds me of Cheers with a dash of hang out and great food! The old time great wait staff is there for you, too! I love this place, just found it 9 years ago and love it. Movies have been made here, and all the famous people of new and old come here. It is warm and cozy. If you are loving Chilis and Big Bowl, do not go here this is not for you!

Dont go here if you are looking for a fancy night out, go here for the ribs! The decor hast changed since they opened, but thats not what youre here for. These are by far the best baby back ribs in the city, so be sure to order a full rack and let the meat fall off the bone. All of the sauces are great too, so be sure to ask for a side to dip into. Expect a wait for a table unless you go late, or sit at the bar. Also trust the waitresses, they have been working there for a reason!

If you come on a weekday, you can usually be seated immediately for dinnertime. Weekends are another story - be prepared to wait an hour or more! For me, a half of ribs with the creamed spinach was a perfect meal. Make sure to get the prohibition sauce - its so good and absolutely made the meal for me. If youre very hungry, get the full slab of ribs, they are finger lickin good. Our waitress was also the nicest waitress I have ever had in my life!

An old Chicago haunt with great fall-off-the-bone-ribs and great character. Rumored to be a place that the Rat Pack hung out at, this LP rib joint is small but big on taste. No reservations accepted & usually a pretty long wait, but worth it. Grab a seat at the bar & have one of their great beers on tap. What to order: The Ribs (duh!) in the zesty BBQ sauce & Crispy Potato Chips (fresh made) served with Bleu Cheese Buttermilk dressing

No reservations accepted at Chicagos oldest ribs joint, but that doesnt keep the crowds away. While I usually dont love eating food on the bone, I make an exception at Twin Anchors. Great ribs & chicken combo, steaks and filets. All entrees are served with choice of fries, onion rings, baked potato, baked beans or creamed spinach plus a side of cole slaw. Youll leave super satisfied.

Truly my favourite rib place in Chicago! The best rubs hands die and the very best staff ever! You walk in to the same friendly faces going in - sane staff for years! Its like family! There is a wait on certain times and days but well worth it- just sit at the bar with your friends and enjoy! Or walk to Margies down the street while you wait. Its all good!

Old school place that was frequented by the Rat Pack and other celebrities. It was crowded so we had to wait a bit, but it was worth it.It is dark inside. Service was quick. One of our cell phones was dying and they offered to charge it behind the bar for us. Very nice! We showed up for the ribs. They did not disappoint. I ate them until I couldnt breathe.

Without a doubt the best ribs in the city in my mind, and dont even get me started about the prohibition sauce and the onion rings. I have been living in the city for 3 years now, and came here for my first time last week, and all I have thought since then is "Oh all the wasted years!" Cant wait to go back and feast on another whole slab.

Serving BBQ Ribs since 1933 in the same Location. The atmosphere is very old school and really has not changed in over 40 years. Charming dining room that is not too loud like most of Chicagos restaurants. Terrific Baby Back Ribs with multiple.choice of side dishes. I have be eating here since 1976. Try it once and you will be back again.

To me Twin Anchors is a beloved but overhyped neighborhood bar. The decor leaves much to be desired and the ribs dont hold a candle to places like Lillies Q and Smoque. The one cool thing is that they filmed a scene from one of the new Batman movies here and theres a dent in the bar from a pivotal moment.

Best rib-place in town. The wait can take a while, but the bar areas atmosphere makes the wait worth while. The ribs were amazing as well, the prohibition sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Works excellently with the meat dropping off the bones. Awesome food, awesome decor, awesome service!

Went for the 1st time before a show at Second City. Appreciated they accommodated our request for quick service, the ribs were out in no time, & while I dont mind getting messy eating ribs, I enjoyed that the meat fell off the bone & could eat with a fork! Tangy sauce, not too spicy. Will return.

We went for the ribs but werent all that impressed. They were good dont get me wrong. I have just heard so much hype about them I thought that Id be blown away. To me the ribs wouldnt make it into a top 10 list for Chicago and Ive seen people rank it #1 before. Smh.
