Well, I am a Chinese. However, I will say the truth... First of all, I dont like their customer service at all. The cashier lady (both young and old) are frowning at all time for no reason... or maybe they worry that customer is not going to pay. Secondly, they make customer wait for long time when there is more than 5 customers in the line. The main reason is they are not systematic... Thirdly, I believe the BBQ is above average (IF THEY ARE FRESH). For all my American Friends, usually you will get a bad customer service in this type of restaurant because they believe the service will not affect the sales because most of the Chinese customers will still go back although they need to spend few minutes watching those "frowning face" ladies... lol...

It may not look like much from the outside, nor will it look appealing once you step in, but youll begin to understand why people come to BBQ King House once you taste the food. The meats here are their specialty. From steamed chicken, to braised duck to roasted pork - you name it, they cook it and they cook it ever so well. The meat is tender and juicy, making every bite super flavorful. It has just the right amount of oil for taste that will not leave you feeling too heavy. Personally, I would recommend the soy sauce chicken and roasted pork. One helpful tip, they only accept Visa or Mastercard if your purchase is above $15. So be prepared to pay a fee if youre placing a small order and happened to run out of cash.

This is a very good restaurant! The Calamari was amazing, the Orange chicken was good but kinda tastes like ketchup but still good. My wife loved the fresh shrimp too they were very delicious. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the service. I am not sure if its the fact my family is a mixed culture but the service could use improvement. Over all this restaurant is a good place to go I would recommend it for sure!

Pros: Roast duck meal - for $40, you get roast duck served on steamed buns, a soup, and noodles with duck meat. A very filling meal for a party of four. Cons: Duck meat could be more tender. Some piece were tougher to bite through. The steam buns slices are just that - a slice. So its hard to get enough bun per slice of duck. Ideally, the duck is served inside a little steamed bun, and not just on a piece of bun.

This place was amazing. Their combo meals are such a great deal. I did the pick 3 meats for 7.50. I picked the roast duck, roast chicken, and roast pork. It also came with a free bowl of chicken broth soup, rice, and baby bok choy. The food is amazingly delicious. If youre pressed for time and want something quick and cheap this is the place to go.

I love char siu and roasted duck, eat them in Hong Kong, NYC, Singapore anywhere thats good and I find this place is average at best. The meat doesnt have that heavenly roasted flavor, missing the honey sauce and after few days the BBQ is just bad. I have BBQ from other places that still tasted amazing after few days, thats the sign of quality BBQ.

I ordered a box of roast pork March 9 2008 from this location. While the butcher was preparing, he accidentally dropped one piece to the floor, then he immediately picked it up and put it back to the box. The sales person was very rude also while I was arguing how could they do that. Of course I ended up not buying anything from them. Should you?

Great place for Chinese BBQ or Peking Duck. The BBQ combination platter is a nice thing to try if its your first time here. Dine-in or carry-out. Nice variety of soups and noodle dishes. Tea is complimentary. The dining room is clean but nothing special.

the food is cooked well, but as for flavor it is sub par. If you eat meat for the meat flavor than your in luck; but if you like barbeque for the flavor of the seasonings and sauces that compliment the meat than you should probably find another place.

One of the best places to get Chinese BBQ pork(char siu), roasted goose. The other dishes are equally fantastic, definitely try the fukien fired rice, one of the best in Chicago. A definite must try

They dont put that much BBQ in the food. Its still good. I just rather go to a real BBQ place with the food is drowned with the BBQ sauce! You know When your done and you need a bunch of napkins!

Great Chinese BBQ for a good price. $7 for two meats, rice, and bok choy fills me up and feels relatively healthy. Its also very quick, since everything is already prepared.
