I love cute little cafes and bakeries. I usually find them in quaint little towns in the suburbs or in sleepy towns but to find one in the city is absolutely awesome. I love the vibe you get once you step in. Its a small little shop that looks like its part of a residential walk up so it might not be immediately obvious that there is a cafe there. The pastries here all look gorgeous, everything looked absolutely delicious. We had the flourless chocolate tart and it was fantastic. Rich, creamy chocolate that wasnt too thick or heavy, in a nicely baked tart for contrast. If youre looking to indulge yourself or bring some fancy looking, great tasting pastries to a party, this is a great place to check out!

The best bakery in Chicago! I recommend the red velvet cupcakes, fruit tarts, and jalapeno chedder biscuits! And its actually good for diets, because now I cannot eat red velvet cake or fruit tarts from any other bakery, they are no longer worth the calories after I tasted the Twisted Bakers unsurpassable version, haha. The fruit tart is my favorite. They coat a shortbread cookie type of crust with white chocolate so it stays crunchy. The custard has vanilla bean specks in it (yum!) and they dont put that weird clear jelly on it so you know they are made fresh. I think they use all natural ingredients (like butter) and make everything from scratch so it tastes homemade.

The atmosphere drew me in, everyone is so incredibly friendly that I just wanted to sit and stay there for awhile. I had one of their Roman Holiday sandwiches and I died, it was so good. Im basically a regular now, and I have an obsession with their cupcakes (especially the Banana Chocolate and Red velvet which is one of their specialties). I also had gotten a variety of the cookies for my friends to try, and they raved about it. Everything is made from scratch, and I havent eaten one thing I have not loved. Oldtown needs to keep them forever, it has spectacular sweets while bringing back the homie, small town atmosphere thats so hard to find in Chicago!

Cute neighborhood coffee shop and bakery. My friends rave about their breakfast sandwiches so I had to try. Not a fan of canadian bacon, but had the cheddar biscuit with egg and cheese and they were right - it was great. Also a fan of their cupcakes, pie slices and sweets. They have so many to choose from you cant go wrong with whatever you pick.

Fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a great menu. I especially love the fruit tarts and the molasses cookies!

I love this place. I typically go to drink coffee and get work done, and everyone is always super friendly. Good coffee and the soup is great too. Just a great neighborhood business, the way it should be.

The smell of sweet ham drew me in. Picked up a ham and cheese bread pudding. At the suggestion of the worker I heated it up at home but ended up tossing it. There was no love in that bread pudding.
