I went here with a friend to celebrate my engagement and the bar tender was a really awesome lady. She checked our IDs and then got us some drinks. I had slwatched in a video about guys trying "girly" drinks and heard that the cosmopolitan was amazing and it was really strong compared to what guys usually have so i ordered one and my buddy got a moose drool and a draft beer. The bar tender was super cool and she gave me a little crap about ordering a cosmopolitan but it was all in good fun so it was cool. The drink was oh so amazing and dangerous because it wouldnt take much to get really drunk. Then another patron at the bar who me and my buddy were talking with ordered up a couple Jager bombs for me and him to congratulate me on the engagement. After the drinks were enjoyed i left the bar and went back to my hotel room to get ready for dinner. This was the coolest bar i have ever been to. The atmosphere is like sitting with friends even though you might not know anybody at all and it feels so laid back its awesome. I would reccommend this place to anybody and everybody looking for great places to get drinks and food.

Pretty decent bar food but extremely slow service. Went here with two co workers on our Friday lunch break. The bar was practically empty but our food took forever! We ended up going back to work a couple minutes late. One of my friends got the truffle mushroom Mac and cheese which I had a bite of... so so good. I will definitely be back again to order it. I got a crab and shrimp salad which was pretty good! They also have $5 drafts of beer of the week or beer of the month (cant remember) which is a great deal!

The drink selection is great with a multitude of options on draft, bottles, wine, cocktails, and more. If youre hungry, the food is pretty good and goes well with whatever youre drinking. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the few times Ive been here there has never been a wait for a table (your mileage may vary). Orders come out in good time, as well. The decor and ambience are quite nice and the whole place has a cozy but trendy feel to it.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in Chicago a few weeks ago. Stayed at the Palmer House which was nice. Found the Bar Below our first night there and came back the next couple of nights. Our bartender Michael was fantastic. One of the best bartenders around. Cant say enough. Great time. Gave us some pointers on accessing some tickets to a theater close by.

Looking for a bar to catch an out of town hockey game we went here. We asked if the game could be put on one of the TVs. Instead of asking us if we knew the channel the game was on, the female bartender barked she wasnt looking up the channel. I politely told her I would find the channel and did. In the end, we left because the attitude didnt get better.

This place sets the bar below a 4.0. I have given this place a couple of chances and sure it has decent prices. However the crappy service is annoying, i guess depending on who waits on you, and not to mention a crawling ROACH the length of your credit card crawling on the wall!!!! So, if you are cool with that, by all means spend your money here.

Complete jerks. Saw a sign outside that said Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin was on special, so I ordered that. When the bill came, it was not on special. I questioned this and they "went outside and checked, it was not on special." When I left, the sign had been completely rewritten and the special erased. Very clever.

I had a really great time at this place. It looked like a hole-in-the-wall but is a real gem when you go inside and start hanging out: the best beer prices downtown, and really well done cocktails to back it up. I cant say enough about this place and I definitely plan to make it a regular hangout.

Horrible. Staff was very rude, waitress did not return after food was delivered, slammed drinks down and didnt apologize. Didnt tell us we could not have separate checks or that gratuity was included. The bar drinks were watered down, but the food was good. Will not return

I hate this bar. They are always out of something, the food sucks, and the service is lousy even when you are the only table in there. My boss drags the staff there a lot so its not a one off. They are consistently terrible...even when the booze is on the bosses tab!

Went expecting a nice Saturday night here, instead was told they were closed. Website clearly states they are open until 1:30am we arrived at 11:20pm, after spending money on transportation, to someone glaring at us only to have said person say they were closed.

Ive been here few times and it was cool. Tried to pay a few bucks of the tab with quarters and the bar tender said she didnt accept change ... ok? I guess they are pretty particular about the money they accept at this place. I wont be going back.

This place was cute, good food and drinks. I wouldnt go again. The music was so loud. I couldnt hear my friends at our table. Everyone in the place was shouting over the music to talk with one another. This is a bar, not a club.

Susan, the bartender, rocks. We were in town for the first time and she gave us all the best info on what to do and where to go. Great beer selection if you like craft beers. Hole in the wall that surprises you.

Massive drink list, but its often crowded and noisy and your waiter will forget you. Also, I got charged full price for a beer during happy hour and the manager refused to change it.
