My boyfriend and I visited Chicago on vacation. We did a lot of walking and Mity Nice was one of the nearest bar/restaurants while we were wandering the city. I was hesitant because we werent dressed the best and it looked like a nice place. We did go, because they had beer flights (hefty pours might I add) and I wanted a drink! We sat at the bar and Desiree made us feel like we were back home. She was the friendliest person Ive met in a very long time. I make my living in the hospitality field and that kind of service is NOT learned, its genuine and rare! Apparently her GM was from our town (or close to it) I know this because she must have gone out of her way to tell her GM this. His name was Tom. He came to our seats and asked us what we had done in Chicago, mentioned he was from our neck of the woods, and gave us suggestions on what other things to see in the city. This was awesome! I was SO happy to have a relaxing place to have some AMAZING beers (best I had in Chicago) and feel so invited into their family. We didnt eat there so I cannot speak to that but Ill be honest, coming from a backround where bad service can RUIN an experience this place was A++ for me! We didnt come to spend a lot, they knew that. They still made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our experience regardless. Thank you Desiree and Tom!!! I will ABSOLUTELY recommend your restaurant to anyone visiting and if we find ourselves in Chicago we will definitely be back!!!

Before I go in railing against this place. Let me say that if you want a good veggie burger that doesnt fall apart, look no further than Mity Nice. My experience started off pretty bad. We almost go to the walking out point because they didnt take our order for quite a while when we were seated. The macaroni and cheese was good to me. Though it does have a bit of a Kraft sort of feel. It came with a green chili salsa that I thought was great. The alcoholic root beer was just average to me not great. I also thought that my tuna burger was slightly bland. It could have benefited from a bit more soy. I didnt get the flavors of a bahn mi at all even though it was advertised as such. I did however like the sweet potato fries a lot. They were very crisp and tasty. Maybe it was just a one off experience, after my visits to other LEYE places nearby, like M Burger, Wao Bao and Food Life, it just wasnt worth it here.

Stumbled upon Mity Nice looking for a casual but tasty place to eat tonight (day 1 of a 4 day adventure). Theyve got just the right sized menu with enough variation so that everyone is happy but not so much that youre feeling overwhelmed (or wondering what ingredients are getting old in the kitchen). Two of us got the beer samplers (2 of the 3 samples were winners). We shared the macaroni and cheese (creamy, sharp, but mellowed by the addition of light beer - super good) and deviled eggs (sprinkled with bacon). I had the chopped chicken salad (perfectly dressed, huge portions), my friend had the whitefish special (nicely seasoned, crunchy breading), and we shared the carrot cupcakes (super good, moist, not too sweet, perfect amount of frosting). Service was on point. Our server was friendly, genuine, and informative. Would definitely recommend.

A comforting American restaurant hidden in Water Tower with just about anything you would like. Ive been going here for years with my parents and now I go with my wife. We go when were out shopping and have even spent holidays like Easter here for brunch. Highly recommended. The soups, salads and burgers are very good but I usually go with the meatloaf or the thanksgiving dinner. Those two dishes bring so many flavors and fond memories of my family dining here. Dont overlook the cocktails because they are well thought out classics. Especially the horsecar. A great place to go for lunch or dinner if youre looking for a sit down meal in Water Tower.

This is an old Chicago neighborhood joint trying to survive in modern times. It has always been cozy and friendly with comfort food such as mac and cheese and hamburgers. It has made the comfy food a bit more contemporary (veggie and turkey burgers), salmon salad, etc. I love the place. It is homey. Great veggie burgers and many choices other than french fries as sides. I usually have lovely fresh asparagus. The sweet potato fries are great, too.

Despite this being located in a mall food court and hidden, this is a sit-down restaurant with amazing food. I got the filet mignon pot roast and it blew my mind how tender and flavorful it was. It paired really well the potatoes that came with it. The service was really friendly as well, making the meal truly mity nice! This restaurant is a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant in case youre a rewards member with them.

Cool, sit-down place tucked in the back of the food court area. Relaxing atmosphere with a varied (and gluten-free friendly) menu. The BBQ deviled eggs were delicious and the reuben on GF bread was fantastic. The best part of the meal was the complimentary GF cheddar rolls! The server was courteous and friendly and will be back when back in the area.

There are many restaurants to choose from in Water Tower, but Im glad we ended up here. Very nice atmosphere and a good lunch menu to fit every palette. We ordered the barbequed deviled egg appetizer and I got the superfood salad (kale with quinoa and cranberries) with a cup of turkey chili. Everything was very tasty and the prices were reasonable.

Had the Brisket burger and it was the most amazing burger I ever had, the staff had a little trouble bringing our drinks to us but they apologized profusely and waved it for us, the manager came over and explained they had a small problem with the bartender that day and I dont blame them for that at all. They made it right in the end.

Mity Nice may get overlooked due to its hiding place in the back of Food Life, but it is a mity nice option for lunch when you dont have the stamina to fight the crowds at the food court. Like their selection of salads (love the acapulco and rotissiere chopped chicken) and the veggie burger has pumpkin seeds in it!

Expectations were low as I had never heard of Mity Nice. One bite into my meal, I fell in love and have never stopped thinking about this place. Ive been back to Chicago a handful of times, I have not have the chance to go back. Out of the hundreds of restaurants Ive been to, this is definitely a favorite.

we enjoyed it. the ginger chicken pot stickers were excellent with a great sweet chili sauce. salads were good, although perhaps the hand was abit heavy on the dressing it seemed like many of the customers were very old people being brought there by daughters and sons. must be the nostalgia factor!

The crowd here tends very much to be older, but I wouldnt let that dissuade you. The food, service and alcohol selection are all great. Mity Nice saved my Canadian Thanksgiving the day after the marathon with an excellent turkey dinner, so theyve won loads of points in my book. Thanks Mity Nice.
