The outdoor patio was a very chill place to sit on a Tuesday night. Comfy couches, nice ambiance. We went for the burger and fries special, which was a great deal and very tasty. My only complaint is that it took a long time for us to get our food, waitress seemed a bit confused and couldnt recall which beers they had on tap. But I would definitely go back. UPDATE (from 4 stars to 5): I went to Diag for the 2nd time last night, this time for Monday night trivia, and had a really amazing time. The questions were just tricky enough to be fun without feeling impossible, and covered a wide variety of topics. Prizes were $100 cash for first place, and then $100 and $50 gift cards for 2nd and 3rd--good deal! And as much as I liked their outdoor space, indoors is really great, too. Everything looks new and clean, and the music was a nice mix of 90s hits at a good medium volume--overall it was relaxed and fun without being too loud, perfect for a chill Monday night. For food and drinks, the beer-of-the-month was quality (and at $4 glass /$10 pitchers it was a great deal!), and the mac n cheese was delicious--I loved the crunchy breadcrumbs on top. And the highlight of the night: I mentioned in a previous review that our waitress was not the best, but I now see that is not at all typical of Diag. The service was exceptional, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Diags management actually responded to my last review (on Yelp), something I never expected--to me that shows that Diag really cares about customers experiences, and made my friends and I proud to give them our business. Good feelings all around. Im very glad they brought us back, and my team and I look forward to returning to spend our 2nd place gift card (and hopefully move up to 1st place!).

I love Diag - Its my favorite place to go to! I live in Manhattan, NY where there are tons of bars/restaurants but Diag does not compare to the places here! I travel to Chicago for work and always go to Diag... I honestly wish Diag could be based here in NY! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Besides great drinks, the food is amazing. Their nachos are massive and I can never finish them, even with four people helping me. Even though I am not able to visit often, every bartender and server knows me by name. That is not only impressive but shows how they are not just a bar/restaurant but more of a place where I feel like they are family to me. My favorite server is Heather by far - She is extraordinary! Ive been going to Diag way before she started working there and when I thought the employees couldnt be any better... she proved me wrong. With her genuine smile, I felt that she really listened to me, was organized/knowledgable with the menu, yet quick with service, and truly understood me. It is her and the other employees that keep me going back to Diag.

After a somewhat disappointing experience the first time I went, my views have completely changed. The managers reached out and listen to the issues and appeared to have relayed that back to all the servers. The second time I went was a great experience. The mangers and servers all were very friendly and great in general. Ive heard great things about this place and after my last visit, Id have to agree. I would definitely recommend going for food/drinks. The patio/beer garden is a great place to hang out. If there are any issues, the management team definitely tries to resolve the problem right away and they go above and beyond to make sure youre happy. Im glad this second visit was a great experience since I live close and have a go to bar that Im happy to go back to.

Ill give it props for achieving something of a wrigley type vibe in a residential area, but outside of that, there isnt much i would be going back for. The outside area is nice, although the kid pool in the middle of the patio was a bit disruptive. Our waitress was slow and at one point was taking shots rather than getting a drink for a friend. It really took about 25 minutes for her to get one drink. Floor was very dirty due to spillage from a popcorn machine combined with a drink that was dropped on the floor and not cleaned. I am sure that there are some redeeming qualities of this bar, especially if youre a michigan fan, but you may have to look pretty hard to find them.

I only gave one star because you have Duchesse beer. Otherwise it was a terrible bar with terrible service. No one came to our table or even acknowledged our presence and it was not crowded at all. We were planning on eating but their kitchen closed at 10pm which is ridiculous. There was a mousy haired server that walked by us several times and talked to every other table but somehow missed our table. We sat for 20 minutes to wait to be served until we decided to just go to the bar. And after waiting 30-40 minutes we were told we couldnt order food. And this was on a night that wasnt crowded at all, I cant imagine a normal night with a big crowd here.

Went for the first time on NYE. One drawback to this bar is that its a bit of a hike from the train stations. Definitely reserve this spot for nicer weather. The food I tasted was for a very crowded NYE buffet so its probably not too fair to judge. It wasnt horrible and did its job of soaking up some of the alcohol so it was fine by me. The drinks were strong and plentiful, probably because we had one of the best waitresses of the night. If we didnt have her our night wouldnt have been as great. Go here if youre ever in the neighborhood and youre hunting for a typical sports bar with serviceable food and drinks with friends.

Diag is certainly not your typical Lincoln Park bar. Loud bumping mash-ups evoke the Wrigleyville feel on Friday and Saturday nights, as does the mediocre service (very nice but slow). There was glass all over the bathroom floor, which was a negative, but the outdoor patio was really nice before they shut it down at midnight (per city ordinance I believe). AS far a weekend nights go, its really just an average spot, but if your looking for a party atmosphere and dont want to go all the way to Wrigley, then Diag is an ample substitute.

Good pub fair and strong atmosphere. The televisions are plentiful and the drinks prices are standard but dont expect good service. Went the other night and ordered a total of two bud lights. After that the waitress disappeared until we had to surprise catch her and ask for the check. Perhaps a little more understandable if it was busy but it was far from when we went. I would suggest eating there but be wary of service quality. Prepare to be disapointed.

Go to this bar for bingo nights on Thursday and youll get several free shots of fireball. I won an inflatable sword when I got a bingo. The MC of bingo night was funny and engaging if not a little boisterous. It was a great time, the food we ordered was good for bar food, and the decor was cozy and dark as all good bars are. A fun spot to go for laid-back fun and pretty good selection of drinks.
