I called to make a pickup order, was told because it was a cubs game day I couldnt order pickup, but I could come in and order to go. On the call I asked if they had a specific burger, the Mac Attack, which they confirmed. When I arrived, 20 minutes later, was informed that they had switched to the "late night menu" and I could not order the burger I wanted anymore. The beer was cold so 2 stars seems appropriate. Update: so I ordered a burger to go, and boy was that underwhelming! A truffle mushroom burger sounds like a good bet, but the pitiful sprinkle of mushrooms, the slice of cheese that looked microwaved on and the halfhazard dollop of what I assume is truffle sauce were the only toppings on this $15 burger. The fries were ok, but damn this place has gone down hill. Just a year ago this was one of the best burger spots in town. A extensive menu coupled with an eccentric staff made every visit a delight. A group and friends an I frequented their Thursday trivia night, and I loved everything I tried from the menu, from the Locavore to the Barnyard burger. Then suddenly the place closed down over the winter. I assumed it was for revoations, but the decor remains untouched, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the experience. Maybe they got a new chef, maybe new management. What they for sure gained is a new low, and what they lost is my patronage. I hope your experience is better than mine, and that shouldnt be hard because this burger bar is set low.

I was visiting friends in Chicago and we thought it would be a good choice before the Cubs game. Seriously, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I ordered the filet with mashed potato and asparagus. It was cold... not luke-warm but cold. I sent it back, after which the same food was brought back... with a warm plate - food still just as cold. The worst part was when the "manager" came to the table and made excuses... "I dont know how it lost so much heat from the kitchen to your table." My guess is that it was never warm to begin with. I ended up eating half of a sandwich my friend ordered and gave up. It has been my experience that when a mistake is made, the staff should ask how they can make it up to you. Instead, I felt they could not be bothered. To top it off, the coffee that one of us ordered (twice, I might add - they had to ask a second time) was full of grounds. She nearly spit it out on the table. Awful, awful, awful - do not bother going to this restaurant.

It surprises me that this Rockit is nowhere near as good as their downtown location. After having fallen in love with the Rockit Bar and Grill, we figured we would give this one a shot. We realize that this is a burger bar and the menu is different, but the food just wasnt fresh and the staff was occupied with other things. The first time we tried it was because we bought a Groupon and figured that it would be good. We were sadly disappointed. After walking in, we were just awkwardly looked at with no hello or greeting. The staff standing off in the distance let us know that we could sit wherever we want and immediately went back into their conversation. Really? Ok. Not such a great first impression. I"m sorry we interrupted your conversation. Is this a Lakeview/Wrigleyville thing? Most of these places are staffed with clueless college kids. We figured that we would give this place another shot. Our second visit was just as bad; crappy service and bland food. Nope.

Updated: Meh, get the mac and cheese and fries. The cruel irony of this place is that it doesnt have great burgers. The mac and cheese is super, it offers a complex variety that will please the cheese lover in you. Im afraid the burgers left me wanting more. Im sure its perfect for Wrigleyville, but comparing it to the rest of Chicago--its a bummer. I was recently contacted by the General Manager of Rockit, and it caused me to view Rockit in a different light. Im really impressed with the customer service of the General Manager at Rockit, it takes guts to confront clients with a dare to give the establishment a second chance. This is what will seperate Rockit from an over saturated market in Chicago. Im going to give them a second chance soon, and hope for the best. Ill keep yall posted.

Rockit is a fun place to watch a game, grab a bite, or catch up with friends. They have a number of outstanding burgers that are amongst the best in Chicago. My two favorites are the Rockit Burger and The Locavore. Both are perfect combinations with a focus on complementary flavors. The Locavore has a creamy, salty, and smoky taste with just the right amount of juicy beef flavor. The Locavore features local beef raised in the Midwest, Goose Island beer battered onion rings, nordic creamery smoked cheese, nueske bacon aioli, and a pretzel bun. The Rockit burger is one of my ultimate savory burgers. Kobe beef, melted brie, fried shallots, medjool date aioli, red onion, and a tender brioche bun. The burger just about melts in your mouth. Rockit is a must try amongst the Chicago Burger Elite.

We went there toward the end of a Cubs game and were there before the crowd. However, our server forgot to put in our drink and food order so we had to ask a manager to take our order again and wait until most of the big crowd was served. They were apologetic, gave us a free appetizer, and a $20 gift certificate for the next time we eat there, which was appreciated. When the food finally arrived it was very good. The macaroni is great and so are the macaroni bites. The Mac attack burger wasnt what we expected - it was fried mac and cheese as the bun and a very thin burger (compared to the others); it was impossible to take a bite fully-assembled because the "bun" was so thick.

Dropped in here after a Cubs game to catch the end of the Blackhawks game. Our server seemed annoyed with us for only wanting drinks and an appetizer. After a couple drinks I decided I did want to order a burger, but they never came back. Meanwhile, someone decided that for the 3rd period no one in the dining room wanted the sound on the game anymore and started blaring music. Another table asked why and was pretty much told they had no control over it. We eventually flagged down our server for the check to get out of there. Also, their policy of "no specials on game days" is kind of ridiculous. Its just an excuse to not have specials for 81 days of the year.

My friend and I found this place while visiting Chicago to see a show at the Metro. The food was really good. I ordered a burger that came with truffle fries. Normally I am not a fan of French fries but these were delicious. The price was on the high end for a burger and fries. My only complaint is that the bread seemed a little stale. It wasnt inedible but could have been better. Ordered a Founders beer which was amazing to me as I am originally from Michigan and didnt expect to see it on the menu. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The next time I am I in the area, I will give this another shot as I am craving those fries as I type this review.
