A marvelous little cafe nestled on the University of Chicago campus. The staff was quite friendly and helpful to new customers. They offer a pour over coffee which seemed divine, by description. We enjoyed beverages: a classic ginger ale and coffee. This is a great place for a casual conversation or a place to meet before a date. Evening parking was not too complicated, though that can be different during the day when university classes are in session. The food menu deserves a return visit and try, for sure. There is a very interesting bookstore, just across the lobby. This would be a great place to catch up on some reading, while enjoying a nice sandwich and coffee.

Airy, modern coffee shop in the same building with the excellent Seminary Co-op Bookstore. Three big tables, a half dozen small ones, and a long bar with seats. Only spotted one power outlet. Free wi-fi with password, but I couldnt get it to work, and went on xfinity picked up from who knows where instead. Steel, glass, and ducts vibe. Quite busy at all times from noon to 330pm that I was there on a cold and rainy January day. Music is probably rock, but unhearable over the conversation. Excellent pastries and good selection of loose leaf tea. Decent if oversweet homemaid chai lattes. Small selection of good sandwiches and salads.

Adorable cafe on the University of Chicagos campus. I had their homemade chai tea latte (great combination of spicy and slightly sweet) and chicken balti pie. The pies are from Pleasant House Bakery and are absolutely delicious! I tried a bit of my friends Mushroom & Kale pie too. I might have even liked it a little better. Really cute rustic feel with their wooden tables and mason jar water glasses. We did outdoor seating at around 1:30 on a weekday. It wasnt too busy for this later lunch, but it can be crowded on the weekdays around noon.

Food: - Lemongrass jasmine ice tea - nice and refreshing - Cold brew coffee - strong and fairly smooth (they also have a really fancy cold brew as well) - Goat cheese, roasted pepper and arugula on a chewy baguette - pretty good, came with a light side salad - Smoked turkey and brie sandwich - served on a light wheat bread - pretty good also came with side salad Ambiance: - Nice atmosphere, cozy, yet brightly lit - They have indoor and outdoor seating You order and get your drinks at the front, and they bring the food to you when its ready.

Excellent (strong) coffee, excellent food, warm and friendly service, and the nicest ambience you could hope for! Nothing like having a morning cup of coffee in their garden while gazing at Frank Lloyd Wrights Robie House next door. It gets a little crowded during UChicagos school year, be warned. One of the best bookstores in the country is right next door so thats the best place to wait for the line at the cashier to shrink down a bit.

I work in this building. This is why I am apalled that the management yelled at me because I sat in the outdoor patio while waiting for friends to join me. Yes, I bought food and drink and the total was over $7 for a snack. No, it really was not that busy. This place is too pricey and prentious. Even though I am a "captive audience," especially with the long winter ahead, we wont be back.

Such a gem in Hyde Park. Beautiful baked goods and fresh espresso drinks made with good beans and experienced baristas. Beats the crap out of the Starbucks on campus, though perhaps rivaled by the Divinity School...Regardless, a great place to study with lots of seating including some benches with tables outdoors. Has a vintage look to it.

Luxury but casual French café on college campus has good brew of coffee beverages and more, with a shabby chic rustic patio. Good place to see beautiful people glued to their laptops and many college couples on first dates, including interfaith, gay, but mostly straights that I have observed during many visits.

Sweet Cafe! When paying I was like "uh I dont want to pay that much for that". Then when it arrived it was huge! And it tasted wonderfully. I got kombucha, not sure if they made it or just sell it, but it was like no other that Ive tasted(in a good way). When in Chicago again I will definitely go back.

Great space, nice location and awesome outdoor patio. Coffee and food are both excellent. Can get very crowded inside. Some of the seating options (some stools inside and some of the outdoor seating) can be a bit uncomfortable.

The only true coffeehouse/cafe in Hyde Park that gets it right. Excellent coffee, good food menu with lots of options for veggies and carnes and non-glutenfreaks alike. Fair prices for good eats and great patio and indoor vibe.

Best coffee shop in hyde park. Free soda water. Light and pleasant lunch options such as simple salads and baguettes. Outdoor seating next to the Frank Lloyd Wright Robbie House is very pleasant.

The cutest cafe I have ever seen in Chicago! They had a great variety of teas and the atmosphere is so awesome! Looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy their outdoor area!

Outdoor sitting in intellectual setting surrounded by all the beautiful green of Hyde Park and the famous Robbie House. One of the best ways to pass your schoolyear lunch times.

A cute cafe with views of the Robie House that offers quality quick bites. I tried the meatloaf tartan and the prosciutto sandwich. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty.

Customer service is not good at all. Food is pricey for the quality that you get. This place is very pretentious but does not even deliver on good food or good service.

Coffee isnt exceptional. A good looking place to bring a date or a prospy, but not an accurate representation of uchicago coffee consumption.
