Very disappointed. I read good reviews about this place and decided to give it a try with a friend during lunch. I had the monk fish which was overcooked, bland, and not very fresh. My friend had spaghetti with seafood, again it was very uninspiring. For almost $60 just for two plain dishes at lunch time, it is crazy! This is not real Italian food. My friend actually got stomach flu afterward. I heard that the executive chef is someone famous from France name Christian Gaborit, with this level of cooking skill, one can hardly find a job peeling potatoes in France. I also heard the chef is very into pornography, just think about the last thing he touched before he prepared our food … yuck, no wonder my friend got the stomach flu. Where is the health inspector when you needed one?

I found a mixology class series on the Choose Chicago website and a majority of them were hosted here at Filini. I had always admired the architecture of the Radisson Blu Aqua hotel, but had never been in. The restaurant itself has a very modern and sleek design with unique furniture pieces. The classes were taught by some very out-going and knowledgeable bartenders. We learned about the history of the beverages and new techniques pertinent to the successful execution of the beverages such as muddling. There are enough ingredients for every attendee to make two drinks and each table is served with a mini version of an appetizer that pairs well with the drink of the day. After each class we always stayed to further absorb the ambiance and vibe - very tasty and fun!

DO NOT EAT HERE! I took my husband here for his birthday and it was not a great experience. Yes, we were seated right away. The decor and modern feel makes this place look like it has potential to knock your party out of this world, but thats the best part. It took 20 minutes for our table to be waited on and we were the only group in the place. We ordered our food and waited from 45-60 minutes before food was served. When the food came, some of it was cold others over cooked. Everyone was upset. They attempted to provide us Champagne for a toast, but the champagne tasted bad as well. Most of the glasses we left completely full on the table. Overall, it was a bad experience. DO NOT GO HERE.

Today we had a horrible experience at Filini. We were seated right away (which is the best part of the story), the waitress took our order which consisted of an appetizer and two lunch entrees. We waited eternally for the appetizer, which we had to ask a busboy to get for us. Then one entree came out alone, so we complained. The waitress said "so sorry our kitchen is backed up." About 20 minutes later my pasta came out, all limp and overcooked. They did comp the entire meal, but what a horrible lunch. One family of 4 sat for 45 minutes without even a single waiter/waitress stopping by. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Go to any other place but here

Filini Bar and Restaurant is located in the dog friendly Radisson Blu hotel in Aqua building so actually you can eat while your dog is with you in the hallway of the Radisson Blu dog friendly hotel. Food quality and taste are great but portions are small. I recommend eating there especially if you want to have your dog with you! By the way there is a nice dog park (Lake Shore East Park) on the east side of the Filini restaurant. (2 minutes walk!

Very sleek and modern hotel. Loved the balcony. The bathroom was Unique. Amenities are an extra bonus such as a big gym, outdoor track, outdoor pool, and indoor lap pool. The bar in the hotel is futuristic, and open to air. They are trying to be green, which is commendable. The location is nice. Hint: pay for parking at the hotel desk, not the kiosk.

We stayed at the Radisson Blue and enjoyed drinks and then breakfast here. They have a wonderful selection of cocktails and it is a great place to start a night out. Breakfast was outstanding. The Buffet has a wonderful selection but order something on the menu. You wont be disappointed. It is a little pricey but stay the night and it makes it worth it.

I like their pizzas. Delicious pizzas. If you have a dog you can eat inside the Radisson Blu Chicago lobby and the friendly staff of the Filini Bar and Restaurant will serve you. One of the Filini waitresses she said she has 3 dogs herself and by the way she was very friendly! I highly recommend Filini Bar and Restaurant.

The Blu hotel is a great chain by Radisson.... no worries about the stigma of a traditional Radisson as the Blu is a pure luxury hotel through and through. I had stayed at two other Blu hotels while traveling abroad and while in Chicago, I was equally impressed with the quality of the service and facilities

Beautiful restaurant with superb food! The booths by the window are the perfect place for a quiet, private meeting. Convenient to many businesses and perfect for a nice business lunch. Some really different menu options, including several nice salds and sandwiches. Decor is modern and appealing.

The pizza was excellent--most likely because of the amazing oven they have on full display in the bar. Service was mediocre and somewhat on the slow side. The burgers were passably adequate but definitely did not live up to the expectations from the description and price.

Came here on the 4th of July at 10pm after the Independence Day fireworks. While the food did arrive promptly, what I remember most was the sulking waitress. You may have been overworked, but your service represents the restaurant, so youve lost me as a repeat customer.

Great restaurant in the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago! Go for the flatbreads and cocktails. Try the tables as the bar stools are lovely to look at, yet do not move. Bartenders make great cocktails! In the summertime, its nice to sit in the patio.

Very cool place, we just went for the bar which was absolutely gorgeous. We went for their celebration of Chicagos birthday where they offered cocktails for 1.77 or something, so that was hard to argue with. Had a great time.

This place is next to my work. Good hangout to grab couple of drinks after work if you dont mind shelling out 10-15 bucks for a drink. Most of the crowd is either business or tourist.. you wont see many locals hanging out here
