In New York, L.A. or even Detroit, good delis and greats delis are easy to find, but in Chicago, we struggle. . . until now. With Eleven City Diners foray into Lincoln Park, I now have a convenient spot to get my corned beef and matzo ball soup fix -- not to mention my personal favorite thick-cut Salami Sandwich with melted swiss.cheese. The fact that I can also get an ice cream soda and some really good root beer is just a bonus. Kudos to these guys for knowing how to put together a great lox and bagel plate and all the traditional Jewish deli stuff, but also doing a great job with burgers, hot dogs and mac & cheese so that I can persuade the kids to come here more often. I love all the little diner details and the fact that I can park in their lot for a meal or right in front if I am carrying food home. Welcome to the neighborhood!

There are by my count three great delicatessens in Chicago, and Brad Rubin owns two of them: this one and the original Eleven on S. Wabash. (I would say that even if he DIDNT have a caricature drawing of me in his "rogues gallery of friends and supporters on the back wall.) Best pastrami in town; gorgeous lox; a turkey burger to die for; potato pancakes that float on the tastebuds instead of sinking into the gullet -- and beyond that, the look and feel of the place, which drags you back to the glory days of the neighborhood deli, from the giant candy jars in the front to the classic soda fountain that caps the seating area. Its too young to be a landmark yet, so get there while you can still get in.

This is the perfect place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ive been for dinner with friends and lunch with my niece and nephews. The servers are nice, fun and knowledgeable and the food is always great tasting and consistent. Think diner meets delicatessen... but its more than that. From burgers to salads to amazing breakfast items, soups, sandwiches and more... whether coming from the zoo, the lake or just passing by, there is DEFINITELY something for everyone.

Eleven has good food, big portions, and one hell of a bloody mary! You wont find standard diner items on the menu, but their variety is still good and they have some unusual gems you cant find anywhere else. They make their own root beer too, which although I think is a great incentive, Im not a fan of the taste. Still, a great neighborhood diner and Im happy to have it close by!

A friend an had lunch at Eleven City Diner in Lincoln Park; we are both fans of the original restaurant on 11th steet and Wabash and were delighted to see all of our favorites were offered at their new location. The food was delicious! (I highly recommend the Turkey Rueben) and I was pleased to see the staff was equally as friendly and attentive as at the 11th st location. Bravo!!

Our go to restaurant at least once every two weeks! Brunch: you have to get the BAD A#@! Breakfast Sandwich or the 11 City French Toast (PS. Breakfast served all day!). Lunch or Dinner: You have to get the matzo ball soup and the open face Turkey Melt (we like to add coleslaw inside the melt). Tip: free parking for 90 minutes! They also make their own root beer.

I love the vibes of this place, especially the candy counter, and bar! The menu is huge and is a little hard to navigate. The turkey pastrami is delicious - lean and flavorful, but I think the amount of meat on the sandwiches is way too much so I recommend splitting if you arent overly hungry! The bottomless homemade rootbeer is delicious but very sweet.

A unique dining experience. Everything from the menu to the decor to the food makes me feel like I am thrown back a few decades the moment I walk in the door. I ordered The #43 and had the opportunity to try some of the blonde barrel-aged root beer. Both the sandwich and the root beer were excellent. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

One of my favorite places to eat, ever!! Fantastic brisket, wonderful desserts, and what has become my benchmark standard for a Reuben. Fabulous corned beef is perfectly deckled, juicy and sliced just right, and the Matzo balls are a great cure for the spring cold. Great place to bring your friends!

LOVED the in-house meat options (pastrami, roast beef, salami, etc). The menu is diverse and has something that will please everyone! There is breakfast all day and plenty of old-fashioned sweet treats to ease any sweet tooth.

Tasty food and large portions. The inside is fun and fancy, feels sorta 1940ish with the music to match. Previous reviews knock the place about the prices but the portion sizes compensate for the price tags. Get the kreplach

The food is good but super expensive 13.00 for eggs and bacon? Everywhere else its 8-10. $4,00 for Coke its too bad I live at the Belden Stratford iibwould come more often but the matzo ball soup is wonderful and only &5.00

Eleven City Diner is just what Lincoln Park needed. Great corned beef stacked the way I like it. I have never had a anything but a terrific meal here and the Wabash location. The desserts are decadent. Great job Brad.

The lox and latkes were really good, orange soda float was delicious, friendly waiter. Sat on the patio - a little noisy on Clark, but not their fault. Overall a nice experience.

I got the Schwartzy with Chopped Liver. The meat was tasty and tender, but the big selling point was the Chopped Liver. That Chopped Liver was some of the best Ive had in years
