Prices were decent, the table shared different empanadas and bacon wrapped shrimp as appetizers. They dont have a kids menu, but my young nieces ordered chicken sandwiches which they both finished (and the youngest one never eats her whole meal!) My mom and bro liked their sandwiches as well. I simply had a tasty stuffed pepper for my meal, though it was annoying to get to the good meaty part and realize they hadnt cleaned all the seeds out. The last bites were a challenge to separate the excess seeds from the meat I so badly wanted to eat. My cousin wasnt as pleased. They didnt realize they didnt have the soup she wanted until we were half way through our appetizers, and she didnt think her meal (salmon) was very good, just passable. Fortunately she enjoyed the empanadas, and was pleased they offered her spinach empanadas when they told her the soup wasnt available, but we were surprised they still charged for them with no adjustment for the inconvenience on the bill. The atmosphere was very laid back, they turned on the fireplace we were in front of when we asked them to, and the server we had was very engaging, especially gracious with the nieces practicing their Spanish. Overall a pleasing family outing.

This Cuban restaurant is way better than 50 mile! They dont just have the typical things you expect to see, like Cubano sandwich, but all sorts of truly authentic things, like Cubano on plantain instead of bread. Game changer! The mojito is absolutely the best Ive had in the city and the pina colada was the best weve had outside of Central or South America. We had a fantastic appetizer, called stuffed little boat borcito relleno, which was a plantain stuffed with seasoned Cuban beef. Completely authentic and fantastic. Ive never had anything like it before. Come here for real Cuban food and service for sure!

Authentic, intimate, and friendly. This establishment is worth it. I had the Bistec de Palomilla and chose the tostones instead of the maduros. It came with black beans and rice. The steak was flavorful and worth the $13. Black beans and rice were cooked well. Although I wasnt a fan of their tostones as I like mine a little thinner and saltier. They were well prepared. No faults. Had an authentic Mojito with my meal and that set me straight for the night. All in all this place is well worth it. I highly recommend, the team there are clearly passionate about their food and their restaurant!

Wow! This place is a gem that adds even more to the Broadway vibe. My visit here absolutely exceeded expectations. When you go, do yourself a favor and order their mojito. Its glass of pure minty heaven and probably the best mixed drink Ive had in Chicago. Also, to eat, I really enjoyed the San Jacobo sandwich. Its like a cordon bleu but oh so much better. Lastly, Jose is a great waiter! Well definitely be stopping by again soon.

The staff greeted us and waiter was friendly. I ordered a ropa vieja sandwich with fries. They didnt have ketchup for the fries, but instead, they brought us an unidentified, but freshly made sauce. Needless to say, while I appreciated the gesture, I ate the fries plain, as they were good enough to eat without sauce. I would come here again, since I like to support local restaurants.

We are from Miami and we read all the great reviews to this restaurant. We took a $30 cab and the restaurant was closed on a Wednesday at 4:30 PM. Their website, signs and voicemail said they were open. Totally disappointed. Dont waste your time like we did.

Food was really good, but service was really slow. Our waiter never came back to our table to check if we wanted more drinks, which ended up for the best when I found out my miniscule mimosa was $9. Maybe get delivery instead.

As a Cuban American from Miami, this is the best Cuban food I have eaten during my years in Chicago. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone not just because of the superb food quality, but also the friendly staff!

Fantastic mojito - not too sugary, lots of mint. The picadillo with congri rice was served with fresh rosemary on the stalk. Flan was just a work of art. Friendly owners and a warm atmosphere. A treasure!

Menu says they use Cuban bread for their sandwiches but its actually French bread. Not only are they lying, butI thought it was authentic Cuban cuisine?

Enjoyed the food but it was very fried to the point it took away from the flavor. Great customer service! Great mojito pitchers!
