Simply the best marinated char broiled skirt steak ANYWHERE......I used to have an another favorite Mexican restaurant for skirt steak not anymore this place is number 1 spot for Mexican fast food. you can taste the care that is taken in preparing their meat, which they cook to perfection consistently med rare to medium ! Tortilla encrusted tilapia is excellent ....also Try the elote its awesome! Just try everything I cant imagine anything not tasting phenomenal here! Sometimes the cooks seem to be busy with take out orders and the wait could seem unreasonable..... Considering the meat is pre cooked most times, but always a decent temperature on the steak. A burrito shouldnt take more than 10 mins pre cooked Ive waited 25...... Absolutely worth it but it has to be to be mentioned. Still cant take any stars anyway because their staff is so nice!

I love this place. I HATE Jerry, the Delivery Driver, and I hope he loses his job. I wish people didnt have such sensitive ears these days, but seriously, when ones profession is to get food to a specific location, I expect that somebody to have a BIT of common sense of direction. What The Cluck. I just wanted to eat my first meal of the day. This place makes great food but has TERRIBLE service. When I called Customer Service, SUZY already heard from Jerry who was crying over not being able to dissolve a frustrated and impatient customers dispute. I personally helped this place put its footprint in the southside of chicago back when they first opened. I will personally help this place lose business starting with myself. I will never give them another dollar.

Ive both eaten in twice and ordered through Grub Hub once. All three times (so far) Ive left a smile on my face. This place has some great outdoor seating for eating (I actually ate outside both times I ate there, which I dont know how that worked since it had appeared packed while walking in!) Ive gotten one steak burrito and the other two times I went tacos. One order of the tacos was steak (because of how much I loved the burritos) and the second time I tried the tequila lime grilled chicken taco. ...I really cant decide which I liked more and want to try to work through the menu. Its just not as close as it used to be or Id probably have tried it all by now! (I really want to try their fish tacos as a friend is highly recommending them.)

Best fish tacos on the Southside. And Im not really a big fish taco fan but something about Carbons fish tacos make them great. Cool little spot right in Chinatown. Its a great late night spot to grab something on the way home. And if you choose to dine in, they also sell beer. They can get busy so I would recommend calling in your order ahead of time so its waiting for you when you arrive. Hella cheap and reasonable. If Im not ordering some tilapia tacos, the chicken burrito is just as good. The only downside is cheese is extra on things but that shouldnt deter you from going. You can easily walk out Carbon full with your meal being under $10. Frequent all the time...

Heres is what you order: steak taco on corn tortilla, no cheese, extra onion & cilantro. Tilapia taco, no cheese. Side of elote. Chips, half corn half flour. Roasted red pepper salsa. Here is what you do: eat the best fish taco in the city. Put some of the elote on the steak taco, enjoy. Red pepper salsa for the flour tortilla chips. Repeat often. They are also great for catering events and youll get a LOT of food. If you keep eating at (insert name of random taco place) instead of trying either Carbon location then just punch yourself in the face now. Then come here and get extra roasted red pepper salsa to take home.

The food here is really really good, but the service ranges from fair to good depending on the day and the people ringing and wrapping the food. For instance, today I ordered 2 steak tacos and a steak burrito. Neither taco had ANY sauce on them despite my request. The steak burrito only had a miniscule amount of sauce - although 2 sauces were requested. MORAL OF THE STORY - ask for sauce in a cup. On a few other occasions, the cashier talks really really fast- rushing you through your order. I didnt like that but I wasnt paying so I let it go.

The 2 delivery drivers pull up in a turquoise blue car all doped up! They have no change because they expect you to tip them 5 dollars on top of the 3 dollar delivery fee. When i told the driver i would not accept the food..,he all of a sudden had change. I told him to screw off. Then I called to report the incident to the ownership and they hung up on me. That was the worst incident I ever had with a business. Employee @ Rush Hospital and business ownwer.

My girlfriend and I got two burritos delivered. The service was fast and definitely friendly. We got the tequila lime chicken burritos, and the chicken was really good, but the tortillas were like leather, to the point that I would never order burritos from this place again. The horchata was pretty good. Everybody seems to like the tacos, so Ill try them next time. I feel like this place has potential, but those tortillas need to be changed ASAP.

Had the steak fajita burrito and it was fantastic. The steak was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. I also dont think Ive ever had a burrito with a more generous portion of meat on it. It was incredible. We also tried the chips and guac which held up to the high standards of the burrito. The guac had just the right amount of heat to it and the chips (we did a mix of flour and corn) were phenomenal. Cant wait to go back.

I shared a leftover steak burrito on fathers day. I had food poisoning for a week with bloody diarrhea and I had to be hospitalized. Apparently there was an E. Coli outbreak from this restaurant. The burrito was pretty good. Not worth a weeks worth of bloody diarrhea and hospital bill though. Please search for the news release from the Chicago Department of Public health on the E.Coli outbreak.

BEWARE!!! THEY NEVER GET THE ORDER RIGHT! I have ordered from them several times and now I am just giving up. I always ask for no mushrooms and 1 out of the past 7 times (no exaggeration) they have gotten it right. Im so done with this place and their complete lack of attention to the order notes! SERIOUSLY, IF YOU HAVE ANY NOTES ABOUT YOUR ORDER STAY AWAY AND NEVER ORDER ONLINE FROM THEM!

The best tacos in town. Fresh and packed with flavor that burst in your mouth with every bite. Quality meats are used. Steak tacos are tender and lean. Mango salsa is out of this world, sweet, mild, and chunky with freshly made puffy tortilla chips. I wont eat a Taco anywhere else. Even the beans are homemade. Thats what Chicago food should be about! Affordable and quality!

Holy best fish tacos ever! Perfectly cooked with crispy cabbage and spicy-sweet lime sauce. Try the chipotle sauce with it. :) Quick service and very friendly staff. BYOB for eat in, and delivery offered. Only downside (probably up-side, really to decrease traffic late at night) is location out of the way... completely and utterly worth the extra block of walking.
