We decided to celebrate a co-workers last day at work at this establishment. The wait staff was extremely incompetent and we were constantly correcting her on what we needed and had to tell her several times that we needed our checks kept separate. After all of this she still did not get our checks even close to being accurate. As we were getting up to leave and to say our final goodbyes to our co-worker, the "bouncer" told us that we needed to leave the establishment immediately because someone in our group had "vandalized" the bathroom. When we asked what happened, the bouncer said that someone splashed water on the mirror in the womans bathroom (and then the person cleaned it up before leaving the bathroom) When we asked to speak to a manager, the "bouncer" told us that the management had left at 7pm for the evening. We were escorted off the property by the "bouncer." BY CHOOSING TO GO TO CACTUS AND THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE HAD, OUR NIGHTS WERE ALL RUINED. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT WE DID AND PICK A BETTER QUALITY ESTABLISHMENT FOR A GOOD TIME.

If I were able to select no stars at all, thats what I would select. We went in ordered food and drinks and they required a credit card even though no one else was in there and I said I would be paying cash. Food was bland, drinks were same price as everywhere else and to top it off after I payed cash they also charged my credit card. Called up 3 days later when I noticed the charge and they told me how that was their policy to make sure no dead beats were coming in. First lady I talk to on the phone couldnt answer anything said she would call back. Then a man called and said that he didnt appreciate the way I had talked to his wife. and then In formed me of their "policy". anyway dont go its terrible and yur can go to many other places for better deals

I have gone to Cactus twice and I will never go back there again. I believe in giving second chances. The service is barely any service at all. Both experiences my wife and I waited over 20 minutes to order a drink when it wasnt even busy. After finally ordering a drink we didnt see the waitress for quite some time when we were ready to order food. I dont even remember what I ate because the food is not memorable. This place is basically an after work bar for drinks and I hope you order buckets of beer because your waitress wont be around for a while.

My girl and I went there to get some nachos to go and have a beer while we wait. It was pretty crowded on a thursday night. Our server came and took our order in a matter of 5 minutes. However, our waitress disappeared and we did not get our nachos. After 30 minutes, we asked another server, and she went to get our waitress who delievered our soggy, luke-warm nachos which had obviously been sitting somewhere. Besides that, the crowd was old and we felt out of place.

Today 4-29-16 I placed a order. Order was delivered, wrong food. I only wanted the correct order. When owner was called, he yelled at me and told me there was nothing that can be done. I will press the issue of him returning my $14.14 dollars since he refused to replace my order. And he hung up on me! Very upset in a professional environment of which I work. On March, 30th of 2012 I was a victim of racism. Me along with my sister and coworkers were put out for apparently scaring the white people that were in the bar. As you may have realized we are African American and were the only African Americans that were in the bar that night. This has had a traumitizing affect on my life because this has never happened to me before. I pray that the owners of this establishment change their racist ways!!!!!!!

This is a nice place to stop for lunch if you work in the Loop. Their blackened chicken sandwich was delicious - I loved the little kick from the creole mayonnaise. Their tvs were a little too loud to carry on a conversation though, and that was my only disappointment. Ill be heading back to enjoy their patio again this summer.

Good food. HORRIBLE service. Waitresses are attitudinal and act like you are disturbing them by requesting things such as: water, utensils, extra napkins! Management is just as bad because they make excuses for the waitresses. Add to that weak drinks and a bit of a stench in the bathroom...I would definitely PASS!

Not greeted as I walked in by the host who was too busy on his phone. Waitress was mediocre in customer service effort. There was about a 99 to 1 male to female ratio on a Thursday summer night. Kitchen closes early. Maybe this was a bad night. The place is nice inside and it has a great potential.

We went here for drinks to celebrate a friends retirement. They have a large area and gave us a bunch of tables for our get together. Their service was wonderful considering we were a kinda loud group. Their drinks were very good. I did not have any of their food they offer.

We seem to go here for a lot of work events, but it has to be the loudest place to hold a conversation. The acoustics are that of a warehouse and once you put more than 7-10 people in there it becomes unbearable.

This is a decent option for after work Happy Hour. Decent drinks, decent food, decent service. Nothing special but averagely priced and great TV setup. Heard that the place gets pretty wild on the weekends.

Ruined my new year party....they charged $74 for sucky service ....pathetic DJ.....all the food they served was out of the frozen food section from walmart....and they charged $5 for holding on to the coat.

This place is a clean and fun place to go for lunch solo or with a group of people. Their food and drink specials are very good and daily. Good hearty bar food that is done well. Friendly staff.

Good selection of food and drinks in a lively atmosphere. Good for larger gatherings, or to grab a quick drink after work. Nothing is revolutionary about Cactus, but everything is solid.

Went to grab a bite here at 7:45 on a summer evening and promptly informed the kitchen closed at 7. I guess this is just a bar. They should advertise that way. Disappointing.

Nice bar if your nearby. Great for after work get togethers. Drinks are a little on the expensive side. Much better in the summer with outside seating.

It is a very average place for a drink ( not food) for people who live/work nearby. I ended up there just cos we were too lazy to go anywhere far.
