It was a very long wait for bad food, subpar service, and a chaotic enviornment. My husband and I have been wanting to visit The Streeterville Social in Chicago for a long time. From reading all of the online reviews and seeing the pretty photos of the restaurant, we were really expecting top notch food and a terrific dining experience. What a dissapointment! Most of the food ordered for the table was TERRIBLE, over priced, and so over spiced that it was nearly inedible. The food just had bad flavor in general. It was delivered to us by a server whose attitude seemed to be "I couldnt care less." We were horribly embarrassed that this was the dining experience we provided to our guests from The United Kingdom. This was their very first visit to Chicago and only their second visit to The United States. We wanted them to have a pleasant dining experience on their first night in Chicago. I found out later, they didnt care for the food either. I said nothing to the server about our meals, because: 1) I really didnt get the impression that she was interested in our dining experience and she would have needed to take everything back and start all over again. 2) I did not want to create a bad memory for our friends. 3) I just wanted to get out of there. The music was so loud you had to shout to be heard by the person sitting next to you. There are not enough umbrellas to give adequate shade in the blinding sun. The vibe wasnt relaxed at all. It was hot and chaotic. Maybe this is really just a place for a twenty something crowd, I dont know. Anyway, I am really upset that so much money was wasted on that awful food and experience. We were completely dissatisified and we will never go back. .

Went there second time ever with my friends,to start her birthday celebration with rooftop. Left very disappointed with service we got. Lady, who brought us a bottle of champagne, started asking us to pay for it right away(didnt have check until the end the first time we were there), Nobody checked on us for the whole time we are sitting, then our first glass of champagne was finished,we started to look for somebody to poor us some more from our bottle...finally waitress showed up with mean ,unfriendly face with a question "do you want me to bring you another bottle?!" WE DIDNT EVEN FINISH first one yet!!!!!!! So,she pored the rest of our bottle with the same mean face... For the bottle service I expect something little more "nice face" and service whise.... My advice to people:get the bottle of champagne at the store and serve it to yourself...will get more pressure from it,than there Giving 2 star just for the rooftop itself with a cute view.

The largest rooftop lounge in Chicago makes you feel comfortable and has great views. My wife and I were lucky enough to experience the grand opening party and as many people that were there we never felt cramped. The food was very creative using Chicago staples and adding their own twist to it. The flavors were bold but sophisticated. There are lawn games sprawled out across the terrace if youre not in the mood to just sit around. Its a little off the beaten path of attractions but I believe thats a good thing.

Extremely overpriced food that was mediocre. Burger was as good as a McDonalds burger (tasted impressively similar!) - dry, no toppings.... & Cuban sandwich was slathered in mustard. Barely tasted anything else. I could see going for drinks and enjoying the view, but avoid the food.

I found myself coming here a lot in late August/september after work. Its a great place, great location. Would usually arrive after work closer to closing to have drinks with a friend and its a peaceful quiet place. Drinks are a bit pricey.

Nice quiet location. Drinks were very sour, its the first time Ive been incapable of finishing a cocktail. I doubt Ill be returning the views this rooftop offers arent that good Compared to others in the city.

Great roof top bar. But service extremely slow. Other half been closed all summer. So go early and grab a table, as there is not enough space for the traffic.

Elegant rooftop bar in Chicagos Streeterville neighborhood. Part of the Loews Hotel. Good selection of cocktails and tasty appetizers. Go for the city views!

Unfortunately, the "open" side is now only available for renting to groups. Had a drink and quickly left. Nothing to go back to.

Large space but on a lower floor so views are not as expansive as what you would find at Cindys or the Virgin roof deck.

View was nice, drink wasnt so great. Bartender seemed to complain about every drink she made.
