This was my first visit to the South loop location - I normally get the Near North location next to the Clyborn & North red line stop. We had a large group with a few exhausted children and the host didnt quite know what to do with us, even though they were not at all busy. Service was good, although a bit slow, especially with dessert. Food was fantastic as it always is at Burger Bar. Was disappointed to learn that the mug club no longer has any sort of frequent customer rewards - just a bit more beer (as long as its not one of their flagged selections, which it seems the ones I like always are - I mean seriously, some of us beer lovers hate IPAs), and the increasingly infrequent special events, which are rarely of any interest to a mostly vegetarian such as myself. Save your money on the mug club. Otherwise, if you just want a great burger and a brew, this is the place.

Stopped in Burger Bar a few nights ago, while the place was busy there wasnt any wait. They had over 15 beers on draft alone with an extensive local and rar brew list as well, service was great, a little slow to begin with but the Bartender soon apologized for which without my even mentioning it. I must admit probably one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life, cooked literally to perfection with mouthwatering flavor, crisp romaine lettuce and hearty beefsteak tomatoe slices, paired with raw red onion and fresh pickles, sauteed mushrooms, bacon with American and Yellow Cheddar, was absolutely amazing.

We were told it would be a 10 minute wait. After 20 minutes, the group of 5 that came in after us were sat before our table of 4. I asked the hostess why, and she said it was easier for them so they didnt have to push tables together. Asked for a manger, and the hostess walked away. A different hostess took her place. When I asked for a manager again, the new hostess told me that the old hostess that walked away WAS the manager. No apologies, no rush to seat us, waited 10 minutes for waitress after getting sat, 45 minutes for food. Spend almost 2 hours in this restaurant for a burger. NEVER AGAIN!

Looks like a great place, creative menu, and good bar selections. But I had a less than great time due to a few key issues. The service was slow, for a Sunday night. We were left waiting for our drinks to arrive, which we only ordered beer! The AC must have been cranked all the way up! I was shivering by the time we left as we got seated right under the vent!! Id recommend moving those tables or not sitting there when the front windows are closed. The burgers were good but the fries and tater totes could have gone longer. All in all, Id try it again but making sure I pick a different seat!

My new local haunt! Grass fed burgers are incredible and fries are near perfect! Love the topping options including the goat cheese (my fav)! Service is excellent, friendly and foodie savvy! Orders can take a few mins but this isnt fast food people, its cooking to perfection! You want quick and blah then go to that five fuckos place. We just drink good beer and dig on tunes while we wait. And i love Love that they have Stella Cider! Not your regular burger joint this place rocks!

My favorite person in the world and I have taken to calling this "the place that doesnt exist!" Which is our way of saying that if we acknowledge it as a real place, we would be there most every night of the week. The burgers and mac are breathtaking, and the beer, oh the beer, what can I say about the beer?! SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD! Oh, and the sweet potato tatter-tots, I mean, I just melted into a puddle in the floor, just now!

Really enjoyed the 1/2 lb. Premium Angus Burger with Swiss cheese and all the toppings. The fries were absolutely great too! Try the Strawberry Milkshake or the Vanilla Milkshake, both very good! The staff is super nice, and was even able to catch the Euro 2016 match between Portugal and Poland on their multiple tvs located all around, which made the experience all the better. Definitely recommend this spot!

I have eaten at Burger Bar a half dozen times the last two years. Each experience seems to be better than the one before. First off, every burger I have ever had their has been delicious. Other side items are good as well. It is a little noisy and the service is sometimes good sometimes not great, but past few experiences have been very enjoyable and will probably frequent Burger Bar more often.

You can only taste certain beers..not because the others arent tapped, but "because the price" ....ok cool Ill just have water and wings fried hard..oh wait..the place DOESNT HAVE A FRYER...didnt order anything. My girl had the midnight mule, that was nice All in all not worth it..wait..WAIT! they will fry your French fries...they just refuse to fry wings...

4.75 stars. Waitress was amazing and engaged with all of us, including (especially) my toddler. Food was good, but husbands burger was a bit too red for him - it was pretty red. Everything was overall great, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to take our money. Also, music was on point. Walked in to 46 & 2 playing. Dont hear that everyday. Impressive.

This has been by far the best burger Ive had in the city or the burbs. Big thick patties,fresh tasting ingredients, great bread. The fries option are various and the servers are very accommodating to special requests such as gluten free alternatives. The beer selection was amazing. Pork burger is by far the best in existence, ever!

Pretty much everything on the menu is good. Burgers are juicy with quality meat and always cooked perfectly. The wings are a hidden treat with some of the meatiest in the city along with creative rubs and sauces. Pair it together with boozy milkshakes and a huge selection of beer. Its really hard to go wrong.

The burgers were great. I got the tri-tip medium rare and it was nice and juicy with great flavor. My wife has Celiacs, so she ordered a build your own with the gluten free bun. She was really impressed with the burger and bun. She had been craving a burger for so long and it was great getting her one.

went there for lunch today with my husband had 30 min to spare and we were sat and fed in a timely fashion. The waitress was very polite and understood. Also my chicken was nice and juicy... too much garlic in the potatoes for my liking but it was and awesome meal. DEFIANTLY WILL COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION

Such gooood food! They let you make your own burgers to your liking allowing you to get as creative as you want. The wings were also incredible. I think they were the Sassy Wings. Luckily showed during happy hour and half off wings and drinks. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I had the honor of eating at the burger bar as a side trip for a company function. We could not have been more satisfied with the taste and portion of the food. Also the owner and staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Thanks for a great experience.!!!

Love, love, love! Best burger Ive had. I tired the barbacoa burger and man oh man. It was not spicy but had a little kick to it. We also tired the sassy wings- delicious. And they were not even fired, they were grilled and the sauce didnt disappoint either. A must try!
