I first tried this place around 5:30 on New Years Eve. The restaurant was not busy at that time and there were plenty of people working, however it took several minutes for someone to take our drink order after we were seated (despite a waitress being at the very next table twice in that time frame). Once we ordered the drinks they took a long time to come and that girl informed us that she wasnt our waitress. Our waitress took another several minutes to arrive - I would say wed been seated about 15 minutes before she came around. I had the Spartan Salad which I actually enjoyed. My mom had the Italian Beef Sandwich which was dry, salty and served without giardinara - it was the WORST Italian Beef Id ever tasted. We rarely saw out waitress while dining (the staff was essentially a bunch of college kids standing around talking) and she never even offered dessert. The restaurant space itself is beautiful but I was unimpressed with the way the place was run and cant promise Ill be back.

Been going here since they opened.At least once a week maybe more?We did a take out order 2 days ago and I have to say it was horrible!We had to dump it!I have loved this place and hope this isnt a sign of things to come.ordered pizza.(it was burnt)two pulled pork with fries(my usual favorite)ice cold,rubbery meat,stale tasting bun.Boneless buffalo wings.Horrible and ice cold!we arrived 5 minutes early to pick it up so it didnt sit there. And we live less than one mile away.I have referred lots of people to this place so I really hope this was a fluke?I worked in restaurants for 30 years and know some precook stuff instead of to order but this was gross!!!Even my favorite dessert (spartan bites)ice cold and nasty!

I love this place because of its great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food selection. You must try their Pork Kabobs and Greek salad. Their soups are awesome, especially their Cream of Chicken with rice soup, which is only served on Sundays. It has a high end sports atmosphere with televisions all around. It seems to attract and older crowd. A place like this was badly needed on the Westside of Aurora. I wish them much success. And I will see all of you on Sunday...Im loving that soup!

Really good food although nothing very fancy. A step up from bar food though. Friendly staff. Their service has improved since opening so I bumped them up to five stars from four. Management and local owners are attentive too. Parking is a little bit of an issue when they are busy. Be careful not to park in a couple prohibited lots nearby. (See the sign on the door.)

Good food!! Had about a 25 min wait for a table then a longer wait for food to arrive, but it was packed!! Got the salmon, Make your own Mac and cheese and the French onion soup and chilli. All were good, think the favorite was the mac and cheese or chilli. Chilli was very salty but tasty that way! Felt a little pricey but was probably comparable.

Spartan House is a new restaurant/bar in a local commercial area in Aurora, Il. I have been here about 3 times for dinner and it is always packed, but you can still get a table or sit at the bar within 10 minutes. The menu is great and has a variety of salads, sandwiches, soups, burgers, fries, dessert, as well as other dishes.

Zach was an amazing server. He was very efficient and attentive to me and my brother. The wings were very good, I recommend a mix of bbq and sweet Asian. The atmosphere was suitable for college kids to older adults. Very friendly staff and restaurant was well maintained.

Good food. Great service if you sit at the bar. Friendly workers who are very interested in the well being of the customers. If a customer gets rowdy they are able to get the person to leave in a way that does not ruin the atmosphere. Fantastic beer selection.

Best thing about Spartan House? They have Virtue Cider on tap. Would have given 5 stars but they messed up our order twice and the food was nothing to brag about. Their drinks are cheap and I would go back to get cheap drinks and typical sub-par bar food.

The food here was delicious and the service was good overall. I was disappointed in the beer selection. The menu looks big but when you start looking around it, not much was unique and had expected more brewers vs many from group of brewers.

We live only two blocks away so we have become regulars. Very comfortable atmosphere with good service. Menu does not overwhelm you but is varied enough. The food is always spot on. We like the place. They got it right!

Service was okay. Food was overcooked. It was raining the night we were there, they sat us at a table were the floor was flooded. They never mopped up the water and they never offered to move us. We will not be going back!

Attentive service, peach mojito was subpar (no peaches and brown mint leaves), the fish and chips were pretty good ( fries over cooked). The atmosphere was comfortable, I would go back and try something different.
