Really good food! Great options for appetizers, entrees, and drinks. They have a few vegetarian options and will substitute anything they can, to make it vegetarian. The staff has a great knowledge of thier menu, and can help pair foods with dipping sauces and drinks (so atleast you know they eat there too!). Trivia night is on Wednesday nights and is some much fun. The staff is quite while still taking orders and makes sure you dont get thirst while playing. I trully cant say enough good things about this place, and always feel welcome when I go there. Doesnt matter if I belly up to the bar, or grab a booth with friends, this is that place I like to go when I am close to home!

This is a really nice bar. My only issues which do make a difference on whether id stay for more is the two things, one, they carry all miller products but not MGD. How does that make sense? 2) ive never heard of ANY bar that doesnt have Heineken. 3) whoever priced the liquor doesnt know what theyre doing. How do you charge more for a liqueur, than premiums??? For that reason alone i only come for a beer and leave. Im a shot person. When you charge an average of $1.50 more for lets say Jager than you would any where else, you will go elsewhere. Whiskey shots are also $1 plus more than everywhere else. Other than the overchargeing, its a good bar

First time visiting . The exterior is decieving in that it looks like a tiny, dumpy dive bar. Its not. We sat upstairs and loved the quieter environment with the jazzy music and table overlooking the street. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on her craft beers and very friendly. The food was DELICIOUS. I got the fiesta burger and my husband got a bacon and egger. Both were cooked perfectly and so full of flavor. Great service and great food. We will definitely be returning.

Been here many times, we come here because its close to our house, for the food and beer. In that order. Rotating tap of about 5 craft beers, with varying degrees of interest. They dont keep a physical list of it anywhere except on a small wooden sign by the bar. The burgers are good, the sandwiches are good. The servers are ok, at best. Obviously that is dependant on the person, but we have had a few bad servers. Trivia night on Wednesday. Come when the burgers are on special!

I felt like I wasnt excepted because I wasnt white . I walked in sat down at the bar it wasnt that busy . They offered the white people water and as menu with their drink . They just asked me what I wanted . I asked them if they could turn up the music the bartender said the speakers face out , that they cant do that . Im sitting at the bar and both speakers face the bar . An outright lie . Ive been here before and have never been treated like this . Racist bartender .

Lincoln is the go-to bartender for beer suggestions. Excellent beer selection. The draft offerings change often. The food is excellent. Try the prime rib special on Saturday night. Or get the grilled chicken breast dinner...I like it with the Cajun spices. Half price burgers every Monday from 5-10. I always meet new friends when I visit, whether its the staff or other customers. Marci and Brian are among the best bartenders in Elgin.

Decor was that of a sports restaurant but absolutely nothing wrong with it, just not like a dress out place. FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. All 4 of us were really impressed and each felt bad for the others for not having a chance at the dishes we each had since they were too good to share! Service was great. We had to leave early and they accommodated for that request with speedy but nice service.

Love stopping in and enjoying the vegetarian options on the menu. The black bean burger is the best around. The portobello mushroom burger also outstanding. My son, the carnivore, tells me the burgers, etc. are also excellent. Beyond the food, the atmosphere its fun and generally hopping. The location is a good one, right downtown amidst the history and shops. Its a place to go.

Great burgers with upscale choices. 7 different cheeses, duck bacon, etc. We went at off hours, and the staff was still attentive and the service was good. Melody is great. The Bacon and Egger burger and Saltimbocca Burger were really good. Didnt feel out of place with kids. Fantastic manhattans.The décor is bar/divey but unless youre trying to impress a date, who cares.

EPH ( Elgin Public House ) Is a very good place to just sit back drink some beer and have a burger or two. Sadly my family does not go their often anymore due two allergies. But while we did pretty much we would go every Friday and Monday night. Their fries are really good and burgers are 10/10 and everything else is good. If you are in the area go. Check them out ;-)

Elgin Public House will make you smack your mama! They have a Florida Grouper sandwich that I simply made love to and didnt care who was watching. It was outstanding! With the live band playing around the corner, it was awesome. I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone. All the food was awesome! Why hasnt this place made Triple D yet, I am not sure?

I love the Elgin Public House. The menu is great and the food is always outstanding and reasonably priced. I love the chicken pesto club sandwich and the fish fry on Fridays. They have a fantastic bottled beer selection all at great prices. Its second floor, Club 217 is totally underrated, such a great atmosphere up there. No cover on the weekends too.

EPH has top notch food, a fantastic selection of brews, and quality cocktails. Dont come here expecting cheap bar food, you definitely pay for the quality you receive here. My only qualm is that they are exclusively an eat, drink and gamble establishment; itd be awesome if they had some classic parlor games like a dart board or something.

I cant say enough good things about EPH. As a vegetarian, I will tell you that you MUST order their black bean burger--its the best Ive ever had. Their beer selection is astounding and their Mac n cheese night is truly impressive. The decor is lacking but the atmosphere is still excellent and the food will blow you away.

We go here quit often. Its a great place to go for dinner and a beer. The food is good and the staff is great. Some of my favorite things are the fried pickles, hummus and pita, goat cheese and marinara app, and the patty melt! Definitely check it out on a Monday night fro 1/2 price burgers ;-)

Great food, great service, great beer! Well be glad to come back after being told about the beer events, tshirt nights and special dinners. This place makes me want to move back to Elgin even more. Its like a dive bar but with upscale food and drinks. You dont know what youre missing!
