I have been a patron of this place really on and off for the past few years. The most recent visit I was able to experience their renovated extended space that has made the wait much more reasonable and comfortable. A much needed expansion for their location. So the various times that I have visited the same thing always attracts me, That small town atmosphere and unique menu. However, this last visit assures me that I will not be back until I hear their have been changes made. Let me explain. I had jacks healthy scrambler, instead of me going into detail on how small of a portion this dish was please believe me it was disappointing. I wish I took a picture. This dish was 11 dollars. My guests were somewhat better in luck with portions, however the worst was the Acai bowl. This was a joke. The bowl was actually a small cup and the acai was not smoothie consistency but watery. 12 dollars for this one. All in all for the 4 of us it was 60 dollars and change. Trust me very disappointing. Seriously I would have had no problem spending maybe 8 at the most for that jacks scrambler but 11? Trust me much better places to go around Arlington Heights. This is not one of them until they wise up on their portions and relative pricing. I would go to Golden Brunch cafe off of Golf road instead as an example.

They will not even give you a pager until your whole party is there, but they will still keep your name, which is nice. Also, we were some of the last people they sat in an area that soon became a private party where they are starting to set up and giving you dirty looks. The 10 minute warning wasnt the best either. So, this isnt the place for lingering and having a reunion. Our actual server was nice. The food was really good. I like that the menu seems to mix a sweet side with a savory dish and vice versa. For example, my frittata came with an english muffin and really great fruit preserves. and it wasnt a big deal to make a combo of french toast, an egg and sausage. Paying was an adventure, apparently there were two open registers and we were second in line, but the people behind us oh so nicely stepped over to the open register who I guess didnt see us waiting to pay. I would get take out from here, but I definitely wouldnt want to dine in here again.

After eating a great meal and dealing with great servers, we went up to the cashier "Lisa" who looks at my wife whos pregnant and says "OMG when are you due?" We tell her today and she responds with "What do you think the baby will weigh?". We tell her, probably 7-8 pounds. She replies with "I dont think so, mine was 11 pounds and yours looks much bigger, so itll probably be bigger" Lisa should be fired, what kind of human doesnt know how to talk to a pregnant lady. Absolutely love Egg Harbor Cafe. I have gone to multiple locations and across the board it is amazing. Be prepared to wait a little bit as they are fairly popular (especially on weekends), but they do a great job of turnover and seating as quickly as possible. I love their coffee and tea in their cute Egg Harbor Mugs (I wish they sold them). I am never disappointed.

Always the best breakfast, we love the Chilaquiles, and the eggs benedict benny. Always great food and service. The servers are so friendly, they make you feel so welcome. I have brought my family from florida when they come and visit, and they love it too!!! Im on my way there right now.. ohh and I almost forgot, the COFFEE is so delicious!!!

Our favorite place i live near Barrington but the drive to Arlington heights is worrh it. I love Lisa and the rest of the staff there. When we show up lisa makes us feel like family. From the moment i walk in and even calling from the phone the staff is so nice! Even with someone with celiac i am well taken car of.

This quaint little treasure nestled between Arlington rail and high rise apartments is a delightful mid-day escape for those with busier lives. From the unique coffee mugs and dedicated carafe to the excellent service and food, this restaurant quenches the hunger burning inside coming around 12 oclock .

So good when visiting from Rockford that we can rely on the same quality food and service. Please bring back a non dairy cow option for cheese for those who are lactose intolerant or have allergies. The goat cheese option was perfect for us but for some reason this has been eliminated from the menu.

Loved the food !! Awesome breakfast place ! Everyone were helpful ! Only complain Is .. before we ordered, they asked if we waned to try orange/strawberry juice. I thought it would be a small tasting, instead they gave me a full glass and charged for it. I liked the juice also, so not a big deal :)

Want some great breakfast food? Look no further. A nice diner-like atmosphere, plenty of selection for all diet restrictions. Good place for kids, or just a nice place to sit, have a place to eat and talk. Staff is very nice as well. Not sure you can go wrong with any item on their menu!

Open just for breakfast and lunch so the staff is never pooped. Great menus that changes periodically. Something for every one. They are also very consistent. Love the one in Lake Geneva plus we have been to about 6 in the area. You cant beat it. Weekends are crowded but worth the wait.

The food is delicious, and you have to try the French toast. Coffee to go is a great plus. A little pricier than other breakfast places, though. Most places will give you free pancakes with an egg dish, but most dishes at Egg Harbor dont, making decisions for what to eat a bit tougher.

The food is always good here, but their coffee is not. Tasted very burnt today. But they have great staff. When I asked the food server to get our waitress he immediately asked if there was something he could do, and took care of switching my coffee for hot chocolate! Great guy.

This place was great! Even on a Saturday the wait wasnt very long, our server was attentive and always ready with coffee, and the food was delicious. There were so many options, but the varieties of French toast make this a great brunch destination in and of themselves.

This place is wonderful! Not just the food, but the staff as well. The servers are attentive, friendly and considerate. The food they bring to your table is fresh, tasty and plentiful. I come here often and many of their other locations. Ive never been disappointed!
