Breakfast is GREAT...Best omelet Ive eaten in a long time. One reviewer indicated "overcooked bacon". The Bacon is PERFECT, and if you dont like it crisp, then ASK for it to be under done. The prices are decent, and IF one chooses to go to Egg Harbor, then plan on not being able to HEAR your neighbor speak to you. The parking at Egg Harbor is awful, and it is so noisy inside you cant hear yourself think. Lunch at Uptown Cafe is GREAT also. Their soups are the best in the area, and their menu includes a wide variety to choose from. Additionally, you can take a large crowd and hear everyone. Their fries are excellent also.

After the insistence of several friends that it was the "Best place for breakfast food in Downtown Arlington", I went to Uptown Cafe. The food wasnt bad, but it was nothing to gawk at, and the bill was outrageous considering I only ate pancakes with (overcooked) bacon. If you want to spend that kind of money on breakfast food, go around the corner to Egg Harbor Cafe. If you want good diner food WITHOUT the price gouging, take Campbell west until you get to TNTs, across from the Ace Hardware. Both are better deals for your money.

Family-owned and highly involved in the Arlington Heights community. Kind, welcoming and friendly owners and amazing food are a winning combination here! My only complaint is that they arent open longer hours, but they know what works best ... theyve been doing this for several decades. Say hello to the tall, beautiful woman, Georgia, and she probably will remember you the next time you visit. Believe me, after eating here (and just like Ahhh-nolld) you WILL be back!

Had the California blintzes and corned beef hash. The blintzes were rich so if youre up for sharing, and have a sweet tooth..this is the item for you. The corned beef was like any other in a diner setting. My sister liked her all meat skillet and my husband choose the eggs and such area for pancakes and bacon. He said it was good, I think if I come back, I will stick to an omelette or try their sandwiches.

Ever Sunday we go here for breakfast - is that good. My favorite is the meat lovers skillet. The waiting staff is really friendly and more like family when you repeatedly visit. They treat our family like we are related. They love our boys and spoil them with fresh cut fruit before or meal and suckers after breakfast. Try them today! You wont regret it.

Great little cafe to grab breakfast at. It gets super crowded but they have the system down so the wait isnt as long as it looks. The staff was very friendly and the omelets were great. I get the greek omelet with avocado and my kids love the pancakes. Nice and bright with a feel like youre at the cafe in Seinfeld except with more natural light.

Great local eatery. Other good options in the AH area but my girls love the oatmeal here. Good layout with plenty of seating for different sized groups. Also if youre interested in a fast breakfast, it seems to come out faster than anywhere else.

Excellent restaurant. Family owned business. My family has gone to this restaurant over 20 years (when they were Grannys). Opened for breakfast and lunch. Sundays get extremely busy--there will be a wait! Very friendly and knowledgeable employees.
