North Ave in East Tosa is fastly becoming a hub for great food at excellent prices. Nestled next to a tax preparers office in a tiny storefront is Cosmos. Cosmos is clean, friendly and not afraid to fuse traditional Greek fare with the burgers and fries pallette of southeastern wisconsiners. You can get traditional greek soups and also succulent burgers. They dont cut corners like many joints at similar price points. Everything is good. After six meals at the Cosmos, I have a list of my top recommendations 1. Gyro Hash topped with Eggs over-medium and breadsmith rye toast. 2. Soup of the Day - Just try it and you will agree - it doesnt even matter which soup it is. 3. Leg of Lamb Sandwich - this is a special that is not always available but the meat is tender and stewed in red wine. A must eat if it is available. 4. Gyro - simply an excellent gyo with generous portions of meat and veggies. The tzakiki sauce comes in a squeeze bottle so you are limited only by your desire for it. I put it on fries, toast, etc. 5. Cosmos Burger with added gyro meat - costs a couple bucks more but worth it. Add fries for only 1.50 more. The family is also awesome and the service cant be beat

This tiny restaurant on North Avenue (at 72nd Street) has been cranking out deliciously prepared, authentic Greek food since late summer of 2009. The Tselentises had been completely managing the famous fish fries at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (in Wauwatosa) for 10 years previous to that...so they know what pleases their public! Try their fish fry next time youre thinking fish...you get a tasty Greek salad and your choice of baked potato, rice. ot french fries, and a wedge of bread. Their "blend" of tartar sauce is also flavorful and an excellent complement to the battered and deep-fried cod. Two and Three piece fish fries are available as well as their other tasty menu offerings. Stop in and say, "OPA!"

I ordered a cheeseburger. Basically it was a big greasy and salty meatball covered in cheese. I ordered NO ONIONS so they put huge pile of onions on the side. So many that the odor was overwhelming and ruined the flavor. A cheeseburger is not cheap there either. After I left I wished I just given them $11 and left empty. I did ask for mayo and pickles. No mayo for me today and one tiny very small piece of pickle. To make things even more unpleasant they had someone working inside this tiny place using a power drill while people were eating. Im sure the place was having a bad day but they did not pass the audition. With all the racket, noise, and poor tasting food, I just wanted out of there ASAP.

I love this spot! Its cozy, with great service, large portions for awesome prices, and a friendly atmosphere. The jerk chicken pita is phenomenal and I cant get enough of the greek fries with feta. Every time I see that Dang! brand of soda, it makes me smile. Try the butterscotch root beer or orange dreamsicle flavors. They will change your life. When the weather warms up, take a friend and eat out on the patio. Go. Just go. Seriously, what are you waiting for?

Never disappoints! Cosmos is our favorite place to bring guests for a casual lunch. The restaurant is owned and run by a friendly, welcoming Greek American couple who serve up delicious, authentic Greek food. Prices are very reasonable and the food is always good. There are also some classic American menu offerings that will please the picky eater. The restaurant is small and can get crowded, but it is well worth a visit.

Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder is the talk of the NBA right now, rightfully so. This man is averaging 30.9 points, 11.3 assists, and 10.3 rebounds per game. Those are insane numbers and he deserves all the attention he is getting. How long do you think before Lebron James gets envious? Just kidding, but with the emergence of the spectacular play of Westbrook, is he finally the best point guard in the NBA?

My #1 local place in Tosa for fresh, delicious home-cooking. Ill take the Falafel if Im deficient in veggies or Ill try something from the revolving menu of amazing gourmet dishes such as the Lamb shank or the Tri-tip sandwich. Love the owners and the employees... such wonderful people. Would take this over the Outpost sandwich case any day... too bad Outpost is a lot closer.

Great restaurant with good food in a city with not too many options for Greek. Its small and friendly, so if you like that in a restaurant this is the place to go. Theyre set back off the road a ways, which makes them hard to notice and hurts their business. They should probably get a lot more business than what they do because of their good service and food.

Skip the fast food(KFC, DQ, McDonalds) in the area and stop in here for a bite to eat. Ive been eating here for the last few years and the food has has always been consistently good. Service is great also, your appreciated for spending your hard earned money here. BTW Try the Jerk Chicken Pita

A rarity for Milwaukee these days is to find a Greek restaurant that serves authentic homemade Greek food. Cosmos does, and we had the pleasure of dining there tonight. The pastitsio was superb and the Greek salad w/chicken was the best I have tasted in a very long time.

Biggest and best gyros ever. Great customer service, and family friendly atmosphere. My brother and my niece drive down from Wautoma ( 2 hours) to have gyros at Cosmos. The fish fry is also exceptionally tasty. We love this place.

Just ate at Cosmos for the first time. Had a gyros, falafel, as salad and baklava. All amazingly, perfectly delicious! Lovely service, too. We will definitely return...have to try the soup and fish fry!

Very good local gyro joint. They have many other mediterranean options on their menu I have yet to explore. Prices arent outrageous and they will give you a LOT of tzatziki sauce if you ask for it.

A very pleasant home made quick food café. Get the Mediterranean fries - feta, oregano, lemon, and sea salt. Pita is light and chewy without being tough. Very casual and very affordable.
