I go mainly for the crab legs. This is probably the only restaurant in the entire Magic Valley that has crab legs on its buffet every night. They do a great job of steaming them and then serving them while they are still hot. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., after that it changes to a dinner menu which includes crab legs and clams. Any items left over from the lunch menu are left out on the buffet until they are gone. I like to go around 4:30 p.m., that way there are usually still some chicken wings left from the lunch menu. Standard menu items for dinner include: crab legs, clams, pork fried rice, white rice, battered shrimp, breaded chicken, shrimp and vegetables, chow mein, sweet and sour sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, pasta, beef broccoli, barbequed pork tenderloin or riblets, tossed salad, jello, watermelon, chocolate pudding and many other items. The good news is if you prefer not to eat from the buffet, you can also order from a separate menu, which includes many items not on the buffet. The oriental food is decent, though its not the best in town. Sorry, but - in my opinion - Shon Hings oriental food is better; but then they are also quite a bit more expensive. Canton Buffet is open 7 days week, but on Sundays they open at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Cost of the buffet as 10/4/14 is $11.95. Soft drinks cost $1.75, but are bottomless.

Food was better then expected went a few yrs back didnt like was better this time the crab legs was a real let down spent hrs cracking pencil thin legs to get a morsel of crab got hungry spent all my time cracking tiny crab legs then family was done eating before I got started they never did bring out any big crab legs ,they rush to give u the ck and are pushy for u to leave big blding alot of room for a crowd bit pricey cant afford to go their much not budget friendly prefer was maybe 3 other tables on a friday supper time, Chinese place on overland and main the best in town ...always a crowd food tummy yummy

This restaraunt sucks so bad first of all the chicken is burnt and hard to eat and the onion rings are hard as a tostada and the gravey has flies almost all the time later the ladies are so rude and there always looking at you to see what you get and do not let you eat in peace, next they bring you the receipt after only eating in there for 15 minutes, its like if they think that your gonna eat the whole food, I took my family from New York in there but I so regret it never will step a foot in there again, next time they come ill rather take them to goldan corral.

I read the reviews on this place, and I should have listened to the bad ones. This place was terrible. The waiter gave us our check about 10 minutes after we got there. But that was ok for us because we wanted to leave after taking the first bite. The food was terrible, and we only stayed about 20 minutes and ate. Got sick after eating there. Wont go back. Food was hard, and did not taste good. Waste of our money.

I love eating at this place and I would recommend it to anybody. They are so nice and friendly best place to eat at in my opinion and others that I know that go to this place.. I will keep going to this place as well me and my family ..Ive never gotten good poisoning . The service is simply amazeing as well my drink never goes empty and its the vest in town.. Very happy !!!

I cant believe this business is still IN BUSINESS... I HAD ROTTEN MEAT...NOT EVEN WHAT I WOULD CALL MEAT MOSTLY FATY TISSUE!! I will be contacting the health department shrimp...beef...was all bad. The noodles and veggies just ok! Everything else was dry and had been sitting out for the whole day.

Showed up late, so we were not expecting great food from this buffet. We were correct in our assumptions. The fried rice was above par, and the rest is decent but not spectacular. The service was good and authentic. We left with full bellies for a decent price.

If this is 4 stars, there isnt a heaven. I mean come on how do you screw up a salad?! Someone call the health department. Go to El Caporal instead. Its cheaper and wont give you poisoning.
