Last night my wife and I went out to Rockies Diner. I was excited to try their all you can eat ribs, but that didnt really work out so well. First, my wife ordered a fish entree, but they said they were out because the previous nights special was fish. Then I ordered the all you can eat ribs (the Saturday special). After finishing the first plate of food (four small ribs and the sides) the waitress asked if I would like more ribs, and I said that I would. After waiting a good 20-25 minutes, the waitress came back and said that they were all out of ribs! Although the menu states "while supplies last" next to the Saturday AYCE-ribs special, I was very disappointed with the situation. By promoting this "special" and not backing it up with adequate "supplies," Rockies Diner is providing a very poor service indeed. Now that youre warned, dont be surprised if Rockies runs out of "supplies" for one of their "specials."

So I was on my way to McCall, Idaho but wanted to stop in Boise to check out the best burger in town and I hit the jackpot. Just the atmosphere alone was good. The DJ, the records on the wall, waitresses on roller skates - it was perfect! It was a blast from the past. I tried the Rockies Challenge - a triple cheeseburger on bun, lettuce, tomatoes, chili, a hot dog and pastrami piled high, a side of chili cheese fries and a shake of your choice. 30 minutes to finish it all - the food won the challenge :( Good tasting burgers, good value for your money - unless you loose the challenge! Customer from Whittier, CA - Ill be BACK!

Sad to say that my last visit was my worse and probably not going to go back the food was horrible. My girlfriend and I use to come here all the time, and was one of our favorite places to eat in Boise. Her salad was served brown and didnt taste right. I had the earthquake burger and I have been sick the last two day. I have had this before and have never had a problem with it. The service wasnt the greatest and the beer was flat. Dont know what happened the this use to be the best place to eat in town by far. Now not so much.

This is my second time there in 2 weeks and I am giving them the same score. I went back because Rockies is a Burger joint and I got an Omelet. So I got the Rockies Famous Burger and was extremely disappointed. All I could taste was the cheese, my girlfriend tried it and said the same thing. The portion size again was very small and in two visits Ive just wasted money. I really want an explanation why they cant cook the things that they advertise. Id give a lower rating but the servers were the only thing nice about Rockies.

Very best diner in Boise. I love their food, and the Rockies Challenge is a delicious test for any glutton like myself. Everything on the menu is tasty, and the prices arent too bad either. The gals on skates make this a fun place to take somebody on a date, and the live DJ tops it all off. You get a great atmosphere and good food all in one. Four stars because, even though this is a great place, it used to be so much better-particularly the portions, which have gotten kind of ridiculously small.

Skatresses, live DJs, fun music and atmosphere, along with a 7.5lb food challenge. It was a fun night at Rockies Diner! Weve lived down the road for a while but finally went in, and I think well be back sooner rather than later. :) I got the Collosal Burger and my wife got the Chicken Fried Steak before topping it off with a perfect Chocolate Malt while watching a challenger not complete the Rockies Challenge. But he was clearly braver then I was.

It took 15 minutes after being seated before we saw a member of waitstaff. She was rude and made it very clear that she was more interested in chit-chatting with co-workers than doing her job. The host did comp our drinks because we complained, but implied that because she was new and "has only worked here for a little over a week" that we should have been more patient with her. Never going here again.

got the steak, it was "big" as in surface area of plate covered, but no lie it was about 1/16th inch thick. ordered it rare, it was well done. the salad was tiny and 90% iceberg. they had about 6 customers between 2 waitresses and the waitress still took about 5 minutes to realize my iced tea was empty. what a joke of an establishment. also heard the same song twice in the 20 mins i was there.

I love the atmosphere of Rockies. The roller skates are pretty fun that they got going there ya feel me? Its a ton of fun with the guitars in the ceiling and the Dj up there mixin up some DJ like stuff. The foods a little eh, but still good nonetheless. Love the place and I really like the Rockies challenge, doubt Ill ever do it but its a fun idea. Come to Rockies!

Dont go here! The waitress we had was really nice but the food we had was decent but VERY small proportions. For the price we paid we would of had a full plate anywhere else. We left a 5 dollar tip for our nice waitress and the bus boy stole it from her. They have separate tip jars. My boyfriend told the cashier but she didnt seem to care.

We ordered breakfast burritos for the work staff this morning. We werent surprised the prices went up, however they were a lot higher and the size of the burritos were much smaller. They also charged for the ranch which they used to include. Very disappointed in the higher prices and much smaller portions.

We found Rockies Diner while in Boise on business. It quickly became our favorite place for lunch. The food is very good and comes out quickly. The wait staff is always friendly and the service cant be beat. How can you not enjoy good old fashioned diner food served by beautiful women on rollerskates?

The blue cheese was green, the fryer oil made the fries brown, and immediately after my whole family got sick and I threw up. The only thing I ate all day. Shakes and service was good, the food was beyond horrid. Over the last couple months the food went so down hill. Never ever going back.

came here for lunch and had the johnny B burger. the burger was exellent couldnt finish it all. the portion was at least 4lbs of food. loved the interior decor. the place was clean and the staff was very nice and quick for service since there on roller skate. i recommend this place to anyone

Great! Drove by it a million times, finally got some chow there. Service was awesome, food was perfect, price great, decor cool, music groovy! Never going to IHOP again. Highly recommend. Not often have pleasant surprises, bravo to management and staff. They even roller skate around!

Great atmosphere and even better food. I have been going all over town looking for a good burger. I have tried many of the places that say best burger in town and was not happy with the portions or the taste. Rockeis stuffed me full and tasted outrageously good for only 8 bucks.
