Have been here about a dozen times and have always rated it five stars, but this last visit was disappointing. Received an $80 Groupon for my birthday, so took another couple, thinking my husband and I would have a hard time reaching $80 - boy were we mistaken! Things have changed a lot since our last visit. Our bill for four people was $177, which includes an 18% gratuity the facility adds whenever a Groupon is redeemed. The food was good as usual, but what is bringing my rating down are two things the pace of the meal, the cost and the change in salads not being included any longer with the entree and the way in which it was presented. Pace Of Meal: Our appetizers were brought out quickly, which was great, but while we were still eating those, our salads were brought out. We were not even half-way through with our salads and our entrees arrived. While I would much rather have food quickly then a four hour meal, spent waiting and waiting - at no time did our server or the staff delivering the food make an observation or comment about the food arriving so quickly. I would have expected the server to at least hold the salads, which are cold until we finished our appetizers. We had no room for all of the plates at the table and I felt rushed. Salads: I dont know when it changed, but salads are not included with the entrees anymore. I do not mind paying more for quality food. And this is quality, but it isnt such high quality that it is worth what they are charging now. For example, I ordered an entree called Pollo alla Greca, which is an egg battered chicken breast (probably half breast) over angel hair with artichokes, capers, kalmata olives in a lemon garlic sauce for $20. The server said, what I thought was "Would you like to have a house salad or Caesar salad with that?" I ordered the Caesar salad. When the bill came, we saw the salads were $6. Apparently, nothing comes with the entree any longer. What the server said was, "Would you like to ADD a house salad or Causer salad with that?" But, she spoke it so quickly and so authoritatively, everyone at our table believed a salad came with the dinner and we all heard her asking what type of salad we would like to HAVE. So, for my entree plus salad, it was $26. While, it was tasty - it wasnt worth $26. Price: I cant remember what the prices were exactly before, but this was one of the restaurants in our regular rotation. We would generally pay about $40-ish for two. Based on tonights pricing, there is no way this will continue to be in our line-up of restaurants. There is so much competition in the food industry, we do not need to pay these kind of prices. We paid $9 for a glass of Sangria, $8 for fried mozzarella, $9 for mozzarella caprese salad, $20 for Pollo alla Greca, $18 for Tour of Italy, $17 for Chicken Francese, $20 for Veal Saltimboca, $9 for each dessert (we had three), $6 for each salad (we had three), $8 for a bottle of Guinness, plus two sodas. All of this plus tax and tip came to $177. Oh - and I dropped my knife. The waiter picked it up for me, but never brought me a new one :( I am sad because this used to be one of my faves.

My first two-star review, but was almost a one. Service: rude, slow. Food: bland, odd textured, sauce flavors missed their mark. Environment: loud, garish, smelled strongly of varnish that stayed with me through out the meal. Just a bit more detail? They were busy, but we were seated in the middle of the main dining area and multiple not-so-busy servers made eye contact before after 5 minutes, a man carrying a tray of drinks yelled to us in passing (did I mention it was loud?) "Ill be with you in a minute!" He came up to our table 3 minutes later, yelling, "What can I get you to drink!?" My wife and I both said wed start with water. He yelled back, "I cant hear you!" then came around the table next to my wife and bent down, yelling, "Its so loud in here!" We yelled back. We noted no greeting, no introduction, and a sense we were not giving him what he needed quickly enough, because he had to keep moving. We got our water 10 minutes later, and had our chance to order, and we asked what was good. The server yelled his favorite dish, the red snapper, and another fish was the nights special. I asked what was the price of the snapper. He yelled, "It is $46 tonight because we had to raise the price due to a Groupon promo!" We ordered calamari piccante (cooked but not crispy, piccante sauce was bland and the other sauce was a weird BBQ with too much smoke flavor) spaghetti de mare (watery and bland) and veal saltimbocca (odd textured, sauce not quite right). You get the idea. I couldnt bring myself to take any pictures of the food. Almost a one.

I have never given a 5 star rating until today. My wife and I need to kill some time before going to a wedding party. We saw someone waving a sign and decided to check it out. First we were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was very romantic with comfortable seating. Our server was charming and made sure we were well taken care of. We opted to skip the appetizer but the Caprese looked like a winner. The menu was just one mouth watering description after another. My wife and I both had a house salad with balsamic-vinegar dressing which was really good. I would have liked some fresh grated Parmesan on top. The garlic rolls were light and fluffy on the inside, slightly crisp on the outside and not too much seasoning. We both decided to try the one of the specials of the day. I chose a seafood cannelloni and my wife chose the lightly battered grouper. With out the details, I will tell you we both sopped up every drop. We were stunned by how simply delicious everything was! I wish we didnt live 60 miles from from here, we would eat here every chance we could.

Visited for lunch and the place was empty except for two very large parties (20+ people). There was a sign that said "seat yourself" so we found a table and waited, and waited, and waited. After 45 minutes a waiter finally arrived and complained he was being distracted from the large party (and possible large tip). His demeanor was curt and rushed, he explained absolutely nothing about the restaurant or menu, quickly took our orders and disappeared. The food came out, cold and severely overlooked. Id have sent it back except the waiter never came back to find out if we were satisfied. We got a different person to box our food (maybe the dog will eat it) and bring our check. The same person took our payment but the waiter did return to drop off the receipt-- never even asking how our experience was. Needless to say first and last visit. Food quality is garbage, service is worse. If any business deserves to fail this is it.

We started off with drinks, Prosecco for me, Transformation local craft beer and bottle beer for my other dining companion. Shared calamari appetizer, delicious tender circles cooked perfectly and served with 2 sauces. We got Cesar salad served over cold, great homemade tasting dressing came on the side and rolls are dropping in butter and garlic work 2 sides marinara My dinner was one of the specials, spinach pasta with a delicate buttery sauce and topped with delicious scallops, shrimp and octopus. And an edible purple orchid. (Yes I ate it!) The guys ordered chicken parmesan and chicken tortellini served up with really big portions. The desserts are probably a sin! Look at the size of that chocolate cake! Enough for 4 people to share. The chocolate mousse comes in an edible chocolate shell in the shape of a tulip! Yes it is delicious! Go there every chance you get! Always a special experience even on a budget.
