This trip was pretty sad. Definitely worse than usual. Seated and greeted promptly. Was told pot roast was no longer available. Specifically asked about the chicken pot pie. Was assured that was available. 12 minutes later, the server came to tell us that chicken pot pie was not available after all. Had to take an empty glass back into sever area to ask for refills. Chairs were put up on tables all around us and another table of guests. When the guests at the other table asked if the restaurant was closing, the server replied that the restaurant closed at 9:00pm. He looked at hi watch and said its 7:35. I asked if we needed to move to another table. Our server replied that her station had been closed. Not the normal treatment weve come to expect.

I went in on May 5th to grab some lunch. I waited at the server stand over 5 minutes and no one showed up. I could hear laughing in the kitchen. I went back to kitchen and said hello but nobody came out. I waited again and still no one. I went back over to kitchen and again and this time kinda yelled hello. Finally a girl comes out and says "yes". I tell her I want a seat and she turns and walks away not saying anything. At this point I decide to leave and as Im leaving she yells you can sit here if you want. The next day I call the manager to tell her what happened and her response was "ok" and then hangs up. Glad I didnt eat there just in case the food was as bad as the service.

Are you into country food? Well whee doggies this place is for you. All the county favorites chicken fried steak and gravy, mashed taters, etc. Country food at its best. What country? Well the good ole U S of A thats what. I get the craving for this place at least once a week. Their turkey and dressing is a great and filling meal any time of the year. All the food here is pretty dang good. Fried chicken is a good choice. I will be back again for sure.

Very disappointed! I traveled from Augusta to visit family. They raved about this restaurant. The service was okay, the portions were great, but the food lacked seasoning. We had shrimp, ribs, Mac n cheese, and sweet potatoe souffle. Ugh! This is NOT a soul food restaurant. Ive had better food at a Lubys cafeteria. Will not be back and do not recommend unless u r on a low fat/low salt diet. Ud do better cooking at home.

The food was just "OK" to me. The fried chicken was very tasty, but everything else was average. For the price, its a great choice, but there are definitely better tasting southern style restaurants. The cobbler had too much corn starch for me. The ice cream helped balance the taste of the peach cobbler. The sweet tea was also good. We would eat there again, but it wouldnt be a first choice.

I had the fried gizzards and one was not cleaned it has the green lining still on the gizzards it left a bad taste in my mouth I told the waitress. Plus I didnt eat half of it. She said would you like some ice cream to get the taste out of your mouth I said ok. And then she charged me for the ice cream and didnt offer to reduce the cost of the meal. So you know I wont eat there again soon

Im upset with the quality of food and service. I have been coming here since I was a kid and these past few times have been a disappointment. However, the manager is fantastic with handling complaints. I wasnt even going to write a review until the server scooped up my fiancés food with her hand, after it fell on the serving tray and didnt offer to replace it or apologize.

Sat there for 15 mins holding a menu open in my hands and no one ever asked if I would like to order food, so I get up and walk out telling the hostess no one ever asked me if I would like to place an order. Tried to call and after being placed on hold for 7 mins I then ask to speak to a manager and Im told they all are busy and to call back in an hour.

SLOW service and sloppy food. BLECH!!! NEVER again. Talk about taking your sweet time.. there were about 3 people in the place and it took me an hour to get a side salad. Feeling robbed and hungry. Nothing was edible except the lettuce. Stay home and eat whatever is left in the fridge.

Great togo team! Best fried chicken, grilled pork chops, fried catfish, corn nuggets and fried okra in Cherokee County. Would be 5 stars, but if you get fried green tomatoes, they sometimes are fully fried. I always only see 2 managers and they are the hardest working managers around.

Never got the chance to eat, hostess was prompt and nice,.so was the server. But as I went to the restroom so did a cook, she never took off her service apron, and went promptly back in the kitchen. That is a health violation. We promptly left after saying why we left. Disgusting

Horrible service. Had to wait to be seated when 1/3 of the restaurant had open tables. Waited over 30 mi. To get drinks. Then had to ask the waitress about each course of the meal to get it out to us. On the up side the food was good and had good sized portions.

Our service was excellent. My food was very good. We have been coming here for years, our service has been excellent to very poor, and everything in between. This time, we came on a Tuesday afternoon. It was not really busy. Everything was perfect.

The service was fast! Jamie, our server, was fantastic! She was kind and curtious and checked on us periodically for drink refills and to check on the quality of the food prepared. Would highly recommend this resturant for a family night out!

The food was cold baked potatoes not cooked through be a long time before I come back here.Wasnt busy at all service could be been better, the waitress was up by the register talking about schedules instead of seeing if our food was done

We visited here recently and I was really impressed with the food. A friend recommended it as a great place for a quick bite that was "real" food, reasonably priced, and wouldnt take a pot of time ku t of a busy day.

Hostess tells us she has already shot one man and she wasnt afraid of shooting another. She said she would plead natural redhead and crazy. Waitress was sweet. Food was almost not edible. Tasteless and lukewarm.

Good food for cheap but service was pretty slow. Came on a Saturday night and the server had to go to the kitchen and chop up our side salads herself. Definitely need to add a few more servers and kitchen crew.

Its good food and well seasoned. I think they could upgrade the decor more and the floors and tables are sticky. The manager at night seems very nice and prepared. The best fried chicken I e ever eaten!!!!

A sad, sad restaurant. Dirty. Old. Food was sub par. Seriously - go to the Dwarf House across the street. ONLY bright spot - very nice and attentive wait staff. And my kids and husband loved the desserts.
