I dont often rate an eatery as providing a five-star gastronomic experience, but Stax is definitely and exactly that. After my lamb burger and sides yesterday, I look forward to many more visits to try everything on the menu. The burgers seem to be doubles...you order whatever variety that you wish, and you receive two patties of that meat. Its not an unwelcome revelation...mine was totally awesomelicious, or some other made-up word that suggests finger-licking goodness. The mac-n-cheese side is a ramekin full of liquidy, cheesy delight. Better than--or,at least, equal to--the comparable dish at Pure. The side of fried okra is heavenly...lightly battered or breaded, fried perfectly. Thats fresh okra, split longitudinally, and full of okra-ey (?!) flavor. The ambiance is sort of spartan. I wouldnt tag it as "upscale," but it is better than, say, Rheas burger joints. Sorta smack dab in the center of ghetto and pretentiously assholeist, but comfortably functional for a burger joint. They have some beers on tap that Id never had and that I wish to have again. I look forward to my next visit to Atlanta and Stax.

Do not expect the same quality as the Midtown location. The menu looks the same, but it is not as they change items without informing you. My turkey burger (which was amazing at Midtown) showed up with two thin patties extremely overcooked instead of one large juicy patty. If I wanted thin patties, Id go to Steak and Shake. Instead of bean sprouts, there was a salad of arugula and red cabbage. The bitterness was so overwhelming I couldnt take more than two bites and sent it back even though I was starving. The excuse I received was bean sprouts go bad too fast so they changed it...and never informed me before I ordered. So ask before ordering as items have been changed! Be aware there are no drink refills. Beer is served here. The fried okra was very good, lightly breaded and not overcooked. My dinner companions were very happy with the lamb, beef and pork burgers as well as the chicken strips and fries.

I just had the bacon and cheese burger. It was delicious! When you have to wipe your lips after every bite, you know youve got a juicy burger. I wiped my face a lot! I rated the burger 5 because it was really, really good. However, it would have been awesome if the bacon was more noticeable. I didnt taste it in every bite. Thick cut bacon would put this burger over the top. As is, its one of the best Ive ever had , but with thicker bacon it would be at the top of my list. Also, I would love to see sweet potato chips and dip added to the menu of sides. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, a great experience.

The prices are outrageous. 3.95 for a order of fries. Buffalo chicken sandwich is like 2 of the cheap Wendys 99 cents chicken patties dipped in Buffalo sauce. But priced at 7.99. Then we showed coupon to waitress before we ordered and she said she would ask manager to take discount off. Well after eating got bill and no discount. Waitress said she would get manager to fix it then returned to say they couldnt honor mobile coupons. They were so afraid we would leave because the place was almost empty that they lied about coupon to keep up there. Highly dont recommend.

Ordered from uber eats burger and fries and the $7 milkshake since its Friday. Milkshake wasnt here with the driver, wouldnt normally complain about it but since its the third its happened decided to call in. Aw poor me, its apparently between me and Uber and I can call them and sit on the phone with them for two hours. Thats not an option because my programs are on. The restaraunt wont even make me a milkshake that I can come pick up even though I already paid for it. if I lived in Roswell I would tell everyone I knew, oh thats right I do.

Terrific burgers, great fries, exceedingly pleasant and friendly service! A little tricky to find, we drove past it the first time through. I had the Groovee burger which is one of the best burgers I have had! The pork, patty, and fried egg were wonderful, reminds me of restaurants on the west coast. The fries were as crispy as frites and the aioli was a great accompaniment. Definitely better than any burger I have had on Canton Street. Pricing was good, and I look forward to returning often!

For $2, the hand cut fries with aioli dipping sauce simply cant be beat. I had the blue burger, which was very very good. My wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich with a wedge salad. She loved the salad, although felt that the chicken might have been pre-processed, which was a minus. $8.50 for a draft New Belgium is ridiculously expensive, so I wouldnt go here for a beer. But for a lunch, the burgers and sides are really quite good.

An enjoyable, relaxed experience. The waiter was kind and quick, doing an excellent job. First impression was that the restaurant was small but very clean and felt open. I was only confused with the decor but that isnt an issue. The food was delicious and was served quickly. I received the bacon and cheese burger to find that it was juicy and had lots of flavor! I was pleased and will be returning.

This place at one time was one of my favorite places, however, the menu has changed, the burger buns are smaller, not toasted, the turkey burger was made in house at one time,nice thick burger now its small looks/taste like a frozen patty $6.79. You get a lot of everything else on the bun just not a made in house burger patty, if you care. I will eat everything else, no burgers for me here...

My first to go order was the lamb burger with a side of the fried okra. Awesome. My mouth was dancing from the flavors. Went back today and now Im stuck. I just ordered the Salmon burger with a side shrimp salad! OMG! Amazing flavors. Im already planning my next visit to try the brussel sprouts. I just wish they had deals or coupons or even a customer reward program.

Good food but unfortunately there was only one server who was doubling as the bartender; so the service was casual/slow at 12:30pm on a Sunday. Again, the food was great and we were in no rush, so this didnt bother us too much but it will affect my decision to return if I would like to keep my lunch under an hour.

All the burgers we selected in our party were delicious! The Nacho Burger was a huge winner! Food was amazing and restaurant decor was comfortable. The only slight disappointment was the unenthusiastic service we received, but Im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the guy had a bad day.

The best burgers and great service. The staff was very nice and helpful since I didnt know what to order. The burgers were so good I just wanted more. Great atmosphere for a date at night or hanging out with the fellas during the day. Packed on Friday and Saturday. Price around $20.00 for two.

First time trying this place and I loved it!!!! The food was hot and fresh with plenty of flavor. My boyfriend ordered the groove burger and it was one of the best burgers Ive ever had! Onion rings were big and delicious. Most definitely will be returning and recommending to friends.
