Its not impressive, although the chef made do with the ingredients he had access to. You could tell he cared a lot more about the food than the owners did. He put on a great show, and it was the first time I have eaten at a hibachi where the chicken was cooked perfectly. Usually it is dry rubber, but not here. Also the first hibachi chef I have had that spoke English, so the conversation was good too. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Sadly the rest of the experience was pretty bad. The place was deserted, the owner was cranky, it was really hot, seemed like the owner was too cheap to even turn the fans on. My "salad" was barely a couple leaves of iceberg lettuce, with a glob of something nearly resembling a ginger dressing on top. I dont fault any of the staff at all, its quite obviously the owners fault for all the issues. Hang in there hibachi chef, youll find a decent place to work. Maybe head towards the city someday?

My wife and I roam the country, stopping here and there at Japanese steak houses and hibachis where ever we find them, so when I say you have got to stop here you can believe it. The hostess made us feel very welcome and was very attentive, checking several times to see if we needed anything without ever seeming to be intrusive or pushy. When you order a hibachi dinner with 2 or 3 meats at most places, they serve you smaller portions of each. Not here! When we got the steak, shrimp, and chicken dinner, we got more of each than most places give you for a single order. The sushi was quite good and I was ASTONISHED at how much roe was on the sushi. At most places, 1/6 to maybe 1/5 of each piece is salmon, flying fish, or masago. At Yosi, you will see 1/3 to 1/2 roe! Incredible! Yosi Japanese Seafood & Steak House is one of the best values you will find anywhere! I would give this place 6 stars if I could.

Yosi Japanese Seafood and Steakhouse was great! The staff is very friendly. We ordered sushi rolls, salad, and fried rice, and everything we had was very good. The Mexican Roll, which consists of crab, fresh jalapeno, and a chunk of Colby Jack cheese is awesome. We were a little skeptical about it, but it was very good for a nontraditional roll. All of the rolls had fresh ingredients, and the fried rice was really good. We will definitely be regulars at this place, and plan to try the hibachi soon. The staff genuinely wanted to know if we enjoyed our food, and asked if wed eat there again. Its nice to know they care so much about their patrons. We havent found a great sushi place south of Atlanta until now. So glad we tried this place.

Okay i can see why the reviews are soooo good. This place is a hidden jem. I am a truck driver and LOVE hibachi so when i saw this place with in walking distance of a place to park my rig i jumped on the chance. I am not disappointed one bit. The hibachi just melts in your mouth and they make yum yum sauce correctly and then the icing on the cake is the service. Ed the hosts and steve the chef were both so polite and attentive while smiles to boot. I live clear across the country but i know for sure that anytime i am drive through GA i will go out of my way just to come here to eat. Oh i had the steak and chicken just for those who wonder. Thank you for suck a great experience. I will see yall on my next trip through

Just had a late dinner of sushi and sashimi! Coming from Atlanta I was skeptical, however I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, making sure our needs were met. Meeting the manager, Susheen (Im sure the spelling is incorrect!) was a real treat, we were able to relax and discuss her dedication to fresh, yummy food! The food was very good, the fish was not old or stinky, unlike so much sushi especially late at night, in Atlanta. The prices were surprisingly low, personally I think they could charge more despite being in south Georgia! We will return soon, as it is important for one to have a great sushi and hibatchi place in your life!

My wife and I visited the area for a soccer tournament and wanted Japanese food for our meal away from the kids. We went by reviews and unknowingly left the corporate chains and drove 8 minutes to what turned out to be a privately owned awesome restaurant. They obviously are fairly new as business was slow for a Saturday. I hope both travelers and locals will support this family business...you wont be disappointed. Hope next time Im in town we wait two hours to get seated!!!!!!

Upon arriving, the door was opened for us and we were greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant is very clean and is divided into two sections: one for hibachi and one for normal dining and having drinks. The walls are nicely decorated and the music was at a perfect level. The food was exceptional and the workers were a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Japanese food, great conversation, great service and a cozy atmosphere.

(Retrospective to June 25th, 2016) The food was very good, our cook was excellent (as someone stated before me, he didnt miss a beat when cooking/performing for us). The hostess, I believe, was very aware and attentive, which was excessive at some points but they werent that busy and he was new, and I understand the prerequisite of "staying busy". We will potentially be back (technically) tomorrow (July 2nd, 2016) and potentially many more times.

Worst Experience ever. We had a very good non Japanese chef, we had a great talk but unfortunately he is very inexperienced and does not know many tricks. Salad is the only item that we have enjoyed. Soup is nothing but hot water with salt. Appetizer not so appetizing. Chicken was rubbery, bland and awful. Fried rice was buttery and bland. Tables were sticky and not clean. Very Pricey for something that is not so Japanese y.

Great sushi, fried rice and habachi off of the menu. All flavors well balanced. Steak cooked perfect. Nice servers and staff. Family run so can be quirky as they learn and get their feet on the ground. Not only is the sushi the best in McDonough/Locust grove, I like to see 3 generations working together and the investment they make in young servers to teach the value of a job. Defiantly will return!

The decor was great, definitely gave is a authentic feel, it was also very clean and well kept. The service here was very professional, polite, and attentive to customers. The food was delicious, presentable, and served fresh! No complaint here, highly recommend if not been yet.
