If youre ever in NW Atlanta in Kennesaw, GA Checkout The Diner Bakery Company! The food is Great and the service is Excellent! My family and I had such a Great time there. Their Menu have a lot of Great Food Choices from Appetizers to Salads, Sandwiches, Tacos and Burgers. They, also, have great desserts too. The food portions are colossal! So you will get very full! The Atmosphere is Awesome! And the Look of the Diner is Absolutely Beautiful! Especially at night! The neon lights are Lovely and the building is shiny just like a Diner should be. My family and I were trying to figure out where we wanted to go to eat. We saw it as we were driving by and we had to turn around to get back to it. Thats how enticing it was! Ive heard the saying that everything that glitters is not Gold. Well folks this place is Silver and its no foolery! The Diner is very clean inside and out. Thats a plus for me! Presentation is everything! The Manager even came out to meet us and to ask us what we thought about the service, the food and our visit there. We said it was Great of course! She was so nice and pleasant to talk to. I cant say enough about this place! Check it out! Youll be glad that you did! One more thing, the manager gave my son a surprise box! I wont tell you what was in it because it wouldnt be a surprise now would it? But I can tell you this............it wasnt a Jack in the box! Lol! And just before we left, our wonderful server Josh gave each of us our own slice of cake too! Its a Great place to go to on a cheat day from dieting! Cmon Live a little!

The good: Cool atmosphere. Pretty good selection on the menu including some nice coffee bar offerings. The idea is great and needed in Kennesaw. The bad: Ill start with the food. First big problem is it took over 30 minutes from when our order was placed to food on the table. My wife had a omelette and I had a variation of an eggs benedict. My two kids simply had plain bagels. When our food finally got to us, both mine and my wifes were barely warm. My hollandaise sauce had a film I can only assume came from sitting in the window. On top of that, my english muffin was burnt. The film found on my sauce was also on mine and my wifes grits, which were also barely warm. The bagels were just okay, though a bit over toasted. During our extensive wait for sub-par food, our server seemed to avoid the table. She is young and I think this may be her first job as a server, but there was zero communication until we flagged her down. The manager did come over as well and tell us ours was the next ticket up, but didnt tell us until after we ate that the kitchen was short staffed. (But why was our food cold?) She brought us out a couple cannolis as an apology (without actually apologizing), but even those were not very good. The cream was grainy and they tasted frozen. Im not saying they WERE frozen, but they tasted like it. I want this place to be successful because I love the idea, but they need to fix these things quickly. As for us, it will take some time before we can work up the courage to try it again.

I had the unfortunate experience of returning to this diner after what was a splendid breakfast for lunch. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place at any other time and for any other food. One would think that a Greek diner, with Greek owners, would know what a gyro sandwich was. The sandwich, as described by the menu "...shaved slices of seasoned lamb and beef..." was nothing more than pre-formed deli gyro meat warmed and carelessly thrown on a pita with lettuce, tomato and onions. I wouldnt serve this to my dog. The soup was bland, cheese sticks cold, and overall a complete disappointment. Edit: The gyro was the same gyro kit one would purchase at costco. I hardly think that is what anyone would expect, nor is it near fresh or best at all. I did not mention that our appetizers, bread, and entrees all were served at the same time. Actually, the appetizers were served after he entrees. I did mention to the waiter that the gyro was not what i expected, and the cheese sticks were cold. All he said was sorry. I see some food and service quality training opportunities in this establishments future. I tried to speak to someone while I was there, but the waiter could care less. Not every service will be perfect, but this complete meal was a disaster. Had I not been with my daughter, I would have just left, but she needed to eat, and understand that not every meal or things in this would will be as described.

A friend and I went for dinner on Friday evening and we had a wonderful experience. Our wait was approximately ten minutes, it was a comfortable amount of time with chairs to sit in. As soon as we were seated and ordered our drinks our waitress brought homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic to dip our bread in. I ordered fish and chips, I swapped the fries for seasonal veggies, and it came with cole slaw too. My food was excellent. The fish had a light batter and the white fish had a very good flavor and was not fishy smelling. The seasonal veggies included yellow squash, zucchini, broccoli and it was tasty and cooked to perfection. The cole slaw was very good, the cabbage was cut in approximately inch and a half pieces, was in a milk based dressing. My friend ordered chicken picata with risotto and she said it was very good. (This was her third or fourth time at the restaurant and this dish has been so good that she has ordered it every time). She ordered a fancy drink of some type and I ordered coffee. My coffee was good and my friend finished her drink stating it was quite tasty. We both had leftovers to take home. Also, our waitress brought a large piece of red velvet with cream cheese icing in a box to have at home. Let me just say that it was extremly yummy. The price of our food and drink was in line with other restaurants in the area. I will definitely go back!

What a great little find that is located right on Cobb Parkway between Kennesaw and Acworth. And I have to be honest, we found this location because another place we wanted to try was closed. And, Im really happy that we did. The menu is expansive for breakfast and even more so for lunch/dinner. But breakfast it was. And I chose to have the Fried Green tomatoes Eggs Benedict and home fries. The tomatoes were thin sliced, crisp and delicious. I could have made a meal of those, alone. But the combination with the egg, hollandaise and muffin just melded perfect. The home fries were tasty but not nearly as delicious as the entree. My other half had an egg sandwich with turkey bacon and the home fries ... Im happy to report that they have a variety of turkey and chicken sausages and bacons on the menu. And that made him happy. The prices were reasonable ... Certainly, with this quality they were right in line with what Id expect. And the service was spot on. Attentive, friendly and warm. Add in that the decore was kinda "funky/modern/retro" ... it was just a nice experience. Im glad we stopped by ... I told them wed be back for dinner some time. And we will.
