Horrible service, by Ricks granddaughter!!! First, let me say that when it was just Pasquales it was amazing. We went there every weekend. The staff was awesome and knew us by name. Always made the pizza the way we wanted and it was super friendly, laid back place to eat We hadnt been in awhile but after my 10 yr old sons baseball game we decided to stop by and have some pizza, for old time sake. From the moment we walked in, the service sucked. Our waitress was very ruid. There was only Salad and a handful of dried up noodles, on the all you can eat, pasta, salad, bread & PIZZA bar. She asked what kind of pizza we would like and I said Pepperoni and maybe a veggie. She said "Oh, we cant do that. Only Pepperoni or cheese" I said " I guess Pepperoni and Cheese then". She said okay, have a seat and i will let you know when its ready". We ordered our drinks and my husbands coke was pure carbonated water. We informed the waitress and she said yeah, its broken and I cant change it. I asked why didnt she just say that and she walked away. After 20min of seating there. She came by and said the pizza is ready, as we go to stand up, she says" Oh, Im sorry its already gone, you should of went up there sooner". I told her she said she would let us know when it was ready. She forgot, she said. I told her, I would like to pay for the salad my daughter and I ate and our 2 drinks (2 where water) and she tryed to charge me for 4 all you can eat bars and 4 drinks. I informed her nobody had eaten anything but 2 small salads. She raised her voice and said, "well you ordered that, even if you didnt eat."I told her there was nothing for us to eat and then I told her she had a serious attitude problem and i wanted to speak with the manager. Of course there is no manager. She said she was the highest paid employee there and she was Rick s(the owner) granddaughter. WOW! I told her it was a shame that his granddaughter didnt know how to treat customers and especially how to run a restraunt. She still made me pay for two full buffets, for two small salads. No Apologies! No Food! No coke! I will not be back and I want people to know about the crappie, rude, ridiculous service Ricks granddaughter is giving people.

One of the worst bbq places ever with exception of wifes beef brisket. Pulled pork was bland. Brunswick stew was some kind of tomato mush; too thick with little taste and was served room temperature. In fact, whole meal was served room temperature. Pulled chicken was a rubbery texture and was inedible. Baked beans (how do you screw up baked beans?) were a brown mush with way too many onions. We ate there on a Sunday, but that should not be an excuse. Waitress was very nice and was the only reason for paying for the meal. Absolutely awful eating experience and Im sorry that I did not take the time to speak with a manager. Hopefully this message will be read and some improvement occurs. This place does double duty as a Pasquales since it looks like an old pizza building and the buffet was supposed to be an Italian buffet, but it wasnt appetizing to the eyes. This place needs a lot of help or should just try to specialize in bbq.

Horrible!! I waited 40 minutes on a to go order. I seen other customers that ordered the same pork sandwich and they came in after me and completed their meal before i got my order. I asked and she said it was because i ordered a side item. Wow didnt know i would get put last or i wouldnt have ordered a side. Got home and it was terrible. Very overpriced for the food. I didnt get the buffet but since i waited 40 minutes i had plenty of time to look at it. There was nothing on the buffet but some brown salad, some noodles and 3 pieces if pizza. If your going to have a buffet, you should have fresh food and more food to feed more than one person. Management needs to take note. Im surprised they are still in buisness.

Thats was by far THE WORST wanta be BBQ we have ever had. Lets just say my 3yr hot dog was the only good thing. We spent $30 on 2 very dry pulled pork sanwiches, 1 hot dog, 1 stew(that was NOT brunswick stew, not sure what that was but it was awful) and 2 drinks. The food was very cold and the bbq sauce sucked not a flavorful sauce. We would of had a much better meal at Mc Donalds with the nasty Mc Rib sandwich. Very sad to of spent our hard earned money there. So much for supporting home town places. We were the only 3 people in the joint at 5pm on a Tuesday. Go some where else please save your self.

I KNOW there is pretty terrible bbq in Gainesville, Ive had it before at Johnnys BBQ. The only reason I went to Ricks was because Moonies in Flowery Branch was closed, so I figured Id give it a shot. Ricks has signs saying there food is competition level, and has some runner up awards posted. I had the pulled pork and the brisket, with slaw and mac and cheese. The idea that you could enter either the pork or the brisket into competition is a total joke. A real bad one too. If you can find dryer tasteless brisket out there let me know, and Ill avoid that too. The mac was pretty much cafeteria grade.

We came here because the google reviews made it seem like a good place. The service was above excellent; the staff went beyond out of their way to help us feel comfortable. The decor was cute, but definitely needs a remodel as everything is very cheap and outdated. The food wasnt good. The pulled pork was dry, even after dousing it in sauce; there was no ketchup for fries, and everything was highly processed and not fresh. Beans from a can, macaroni and cheese from a box, that sort of thing. Its not worth the money when I can make the same or better at home.

I ate here today and I will not return. The place was nice, clean, and the staff was respectful, however the food was found lacking. I never write food reviews, but this made me change. Mac & cheese should taste like it actually has cheese in it. Cole slaw should taste like it has mayo in it, not like plain cabbage. And the ribs were just tough. This place has potential, but needs to seriously consider revamping the menu before their reputation is damaged. I wish them the best.

Average salad bar, but everything is fresh. Barbecue is great. I prefer the "Original" sauce. It is tomato/brown sugar based. I used to like the Brunswick stew, but it has changed. It is now full of potatoes and has a lot of vinegar in it. Kind of strange. It does have a lot of meat for what thats worth. The vegetables I have tried are good and have been consistent: green beans, baked beans, fried okra, and mac and cheese. Service is always good.
